Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A Game He Never Knew He Needed

Chapter 1:

It was just another hot evening in the narrow lanes of Solvane. The sky glowed orange as the sun dipped behind clustered buildings, and the hum of scooters and street vendors filled the air. Inside a dimly lit room with a flickering fan and a cracked screen phone charging on a table, 17-year-old Rayn sat cross-legged on the floor, bored.

He had just finished another unremarkable day at his school—same lectures, same tired faces. The only thing he looked forward to was the silence of the night, when the world around him seemed to pause.

That's when he saw it.

A friend had posted a screenshot on WhaoApp: "Mythic II with Layla OP 🔥 #LOD"

Rayn didn't understand any of it.

> "What's LOD?" he muttered.

Out of curiosity, he went to the Pla Store and downloaded it. LANDS OF DAWN : A 116 MB download that would unknowingly change his life.

As the game loaded, the music played in his ear like the opening of a new world. The tutorial began, and Rayn picked Layla, the long-range Marksman.

He was awkward at first—missing skills, walking into turret range, buying the wrong items. But something about the rhythm of the game excited him. His eyes locked onto the screen. His fingers danced over the controls, and something clicked.

After finishing the tutorial, Rayn whispered to himself, "That felt... fun."

Instead of sleeping, he played three more matches. He won all of them. Not just by luck—he had the awareness, the timing, the instincts. Without knowing any mechanics or meta, he rotated faster than his teammates, secured objectives, and even scored a Maniac on his third game.

By 3:17 a.m., he had reached Warrior III rank.

And while the world outside snored in peace, Rayn looked at his reflection in the dark phone screen and grinned.

> "I don't know why… but I feel like I was made for this."

He didn't know it yet, but the Land of Dawn had just gained its next legend.
