Chapter 1 - Sariel And Izanami

"Where am I?" A seemingly ordinary young man with dark brown hair and brown eyes looked around in confusion.

His name was Sariel—a 17-year-old who seemed average, yet was known for often helping people around his neighborhood, including an old lady who had no family.

As an orphan, Sariel considered himself lucky to have been adopted by a wealthy and kind-hearted family. Even so, in the 11 years he had lived with them, he never truly came to love them wholeheartedly.

Not long ago, Sariel had just celebrated his 17th birthday. After all the guests had left, he returned to his room and continued watching the fight between Naruto and Toneri on the moon.

But just as he was about to resume watching, the blaring sound of police sirens echoed from outside. When he turned to look out the window, he felt a sharp pain in his head, and then a chill enveloped his body—and the next thing he knew, he was standing in this seemingly endless white space.

'Am I dead??' Sariel thought, staring at his own palms. Suddenly, a gentle female voice spoke from behind him.

"Yes, you are dead," said the woman. Sariel turned to see a black-haired woman with red eyes sitting in a traditional Japanese kneeling posture, calmly sipping tea.

Japan? Telepathy? Sariel wondered in confusion, but his thoughts were interrupted by Izanami's next words.

"I am Izanami, the ruler of this dimension. And no, I'm not Japanese. I just admire their culture," she said, extending her index finger toward Sariel. A golden light flew from her fingertip toward him.

Sariel suddenly felt warmth spread through his head as an overwhelming flood of information poured into his mind.

From that information, he learned that the woman calling herself Izanami was not the same as the goddess from Japanese mythology. He just used the name because he thought it sounded elegant.

He also learned that there are many dimension rulers like Izanami—entities of immense power. These rulers are obligated to grant wishes to humans who appear before them, based on the strength of the human's soul.

However, despite their godlike power, these dimension rulers are forbidden from leaving their realms. Those who try are destroyed by the Supreme Being, the true God who created everything.

The reason behind this rule is unknown, but nearly all rulers who attempted to break it were annihilated. This left the rest in fear, choosing to obediently carry out their duties, deeply imprinted in their minds since their creation.

Humans who receive wishes based on the strength of their souls are known as Reincarnators. Most receive only 1 to 3 wishes; more than that is very rare.

These Reincarnators are then sent to other worlds—some fictional, some not.

Sariel also learned the truth about his death. He had been killed by a stray bullet from a police officer chasing a pickpocket.

Sariel merely smiled bitterly at the thought. Over something so small, the police had attempted to shoot a Black man dead. Fortunately, the officer responsible for his death was punished—stripped of his badge and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

After digesting all that information, Sariel smiled and turned to the dimension ruler before him.

"So… how many wishes do I get?" he asked. Izanami motioned for him to sit and have tea with her.

Once Sariel sat down and took a sip, Izanami smiled and answered calmly.

"Because your soul is slightly above average, you are granted five wishes."

Most Reincarnators carry some degree of sin, limiting them to just 1–3 wishes. But since Sariel often helped others and lived a quiet life at home, he had little to no sin, and thus a stronger soul.

Sariel wasn't surprised by this. He had already figured out that the fewer sins someone has, the stronger their soul—and the more wishes they could receive.

"And what world will I be sent to?" Sariel asked, as this was an important factor before deciding on his five wishes.

"Marvel, with a random timeline. I can't change that—it's something determined by the Supreme Being Himself," said Izanami, conjuring a Marvel comic book in her hand.

Sariel didn't know much about the Marvel world—just bits and pieces from YouTube and TikTok. But what he did know was this: Marvel was dangerous. Full of cosmic entities, dimension rulers like Dormammu, and a purple alien with a deadly gauntlet.

After talking with Izanami for a long while, Sariel finally spoke.

"I've thought about my five wishes, Izanami," Sariel said as he glanced at Izanami as the woman ate a piece of cake.

Izanami nodded, gesturing for him to speak.

"First, I want to have Toneri Ōtsutsuki's appearance, including his beautiful eyes.

Second, I want Toneri's Tenseigan to possess the abilities of the Rinnegan.

Third, I want to have a Chakra Breeding Reactor. Fourth, I want to learn all the jutsu from the Naruto world. And finally, I want my adoptive family to live happily, free from all disease."

Sariel exhaled deeply after listing his wishes.

After a short pause, Izanami finally responded.

"Your first, second, third, and fifth wishes are granted. As for the fourth, I'll give you a system that grants access to all the jutsu from the Naruto anime."

"Enjoy your new life… Sariel-kun."

Sariel-kun? kun!
