Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Finally, it came to me. The professor studied me before asking, "Do you want to give it a shot."

I had to inhale, stilling my nerves. If it wasn't the card that was just guessed that only left one other card. She was printed in the set EXILE and fit the remaining criteria. She was also the second most played deck of that set.

Raising my chin, I said the name of the card I was thinking of. "The Card is [Talented Prodigy Nimueh.] She's a knight level who generates two red pips. She's a wizard class who says, 'Embedding spells costs 1 less.' She was printed in EXILE and only lost to an Arthur deck in nationals."

The professor's eyebrows raised. "You certainly know your cards, boy. I'm impressed." Then he lowered his brows and grinned widely. "Are you sure that's the card?"

I nodded. Whether I was right or wrong didn't matter to me.

But I guess I was lucky.

"As you should be." he showed me the card, revealing that i was correct. "One holo foil [Talented Prodigy Nimueh], all yours. It's a full art worth closer to six hundred dollars."

Everyone gasped. I took the card with delicate hands.

The card was kept in a small, plastic case to keep it from getting bent and ruined. The art depicted a young girl sitting in front of a fireplace. She held a book in one hand while her other held a pen. Blood red ink filled the pages of her spell book. She stared back at me with knowing eyes.

This was the second card I had of [Talented Nimueh], but this one was by far better looking.

I can't wait to add this to my deck! I thought to myself.

The professor clapped his hands together. "Well, that's just a taste of the rewards we give you here at Runeg Skil Academy. Pop quizzes like these aren't common, however, so don't get used to getting free cards this easy. Understand?." He waited for all of us to nod. "Very well. Let's get you all sorted into your dorms, shall we?"
