When they hadn't found traces of witches or promising children in the border city, Lucien had wanted to skedaddle.
But Linda wanted to unwind and experience northern exotic customs, so they stayed two extra days.
Then they spotted a squad of church knights on the street.
The two had to ditch the theater troupe and flee the border city overnight, heading to nearby Eagle Ridge.
But Eagle Ridge and the neighboring Whitedeer family were scrapping over copper mines at their border, with church knights also mixed up in it, forcing them to run again.
