Rhiannan tossed and turned that night, her skin buzzing with leftover divine energy from the goddess's visit. Her body might've been exhausted, but her soul? Wide awake.
She blinked, and she wasn't in her bed anymore.
She stood barefoot in the Dreaming, an endless sky of stars swirling above her, the ground a dark mirror of her own subconscious. Wisps of stardust drifted past. And in the distance… a heartbeat.
Thunderous. Wild. Fractured.
It called to her.
She followed it. Across fields of memory, through ancient ruins made of her fears and triumphs, until she came to a black iron door hanging in the void, chained, runes glowing red with warning.
A whisper reached her.
"You came…"
She froze. The voice was deep, broken glass over velvet. It sounded like pain had kissed every syllable.
"You don't even know me, goddess. But I knew you would come."
She stepped closer. The chains recoiled like snakes, but her presence made the runes flicker.
"Who are you?"
A pause.
"I was once a god. Until I broke the rules. Until I loved too deep. Fought too hard. And lost everything. The Forgotten King locked me away here."
She reached out instinctively, fingers brushing the metal. The entire realm shook. She glared angrily, "That fucking twat!"
"You are my anchor now. My last chance at salvation. Break the chains, Rhiannan. I'm ready." He whispered softly.
And she did.
She didn't know how, her soul just sang with power, and silver flames erupted from her hands, melting the bindings like wax.
The door exploded outward, and out stepped a mountain of a man. Seven feet of scars, god runes, and coiled destruction barely held together. His hair was pitch black, eyes silver with specks of cosmos. Horns curled from his temples. Power oozed off him in waves of madness barely leashed.
He dropped to one knee the second he saw her.
"I am Azarion, the Lost Crown. God of Chaos, War, and Obsession. You freed me. You own me."
She blinked. "Well, shit." She stared at this God man, eyes wide. He was perfection.
He raised his gaze slowly. "You feel like mine."
And before she could reply, she woke up.
Except....
The castle shook.
The air ripped open in the courtyard.
He came through. In real time. Body whole. Power roaring.
People screamed. Magic flared.
And Azarion appeared, bare chested and blazing with power, eyes locked straight ahead.
"Where is my goddess?" he growled, voice booming across the castle. "She freed me. She awakened me. I've waited eons. Where. Is. She."
Inside the solar, Rhiannan stood up slowly, her mates rising beside her like a wall of testosterone and confusion.
"Uhh… babe?" Arwen whispered. "Did you… order a chaos daddy from the astral plane orrrrr?"
Her lip twitched.
"Apparently... I freed fucking Armageddon in a dream." She ran to him with her vampire speed.
They burst back into the castle in a beam of moonlight and heat.
Azarion's hand was still wrapped around Rhiannan's waist, his smirk smug and full of possessive pride. Her hair was tousled. Her lips bruised. She looked devastated in the best fucking way...and her five mates noticed instantly.
Kaleb stood first, hackles raised.
Arwen narrowed her eyes. "Who the fuck is this?"
Elisha crossed his arms, lips twitching into a smile. "Another god? Of course. That tracks."
Liam licked his fang, grinning. "He looks like a villain from a sex novel."
Sable simply glared, like this entire situation was personal.
Azarion met their fury with calm amusement. "I'm Azarion. Old god of balance and chaos. And, apparently… hers."
"She was mine first," Kaleb growled.
"Ours," Arwen corrected sharply.
"I don't care if you were carved from the stars," Sable said, stepping forward. "If you hurt her, I'll gut you with your own spine."
Rhiannan groaned and stepped between them, rolling her eyes. "You are all insufferable and sexy. But I'm starving and I have a castle full of people to lead. Try not to kill each other while I'm gone."
As she turned to head toward the war chamber, a sudden thought slammed into her.
"The triplets," she gasped.
Without a moment's pause, she activated her smart brain bracelet, blinking into the nearest public viewing rune cam.
📢 Faenet Live Broadcast: @RhiannanOfTheRealm
"Heyyyyy, everybody. So… plot twist: I'm pregnant. With triplets. Don't ask me how. Don't ask me when. The goddess says they're divine, and my magic birth control apparently didn't get the memo."
She rubs her belly gently.
"They're strong. I can feel them. And they are ours. All of ours. Even chaos daddy's."
Cue Faenet implosion.
💬 "TRIPLETS?!?!?!"
💬"Elisha's gonna be a disaster lmfaoooo"
💬"This baby shower is going to need security clearance"
💬"I KNEW AZARION HAD GOD SEED, BOOM."
💬"She said what she said. Triplet momma goddess."
💬"This is better than any royal drama on stream. I LIVE HERE NOW."
POV The Forgotten King
In the depths of the Veil, the Forgotten King stood in silence, watching the Entity sputter and fail. He had just lost Azarion, that fucking starlit bitch had freed him. Someone would suffer for it.
"You've failed me," the King said flatly, voice like razors dragged through silk. "You were meant to corrupt her. You were meant to kill the Oracle. Now she's freed the fuckin God of War and Chaos!"
The Entity stammered, tendrils writhing in fear. "She..she's too powerful. The goddess..."
CRACK.
With a flick of a gnarled hand, the Forgotten King disintegrated the Entity, its screams fading into the void like dust in the wind.
"Fucking useless." He growled.
And then… he slammed his power into the god realm. This time with rage and precision. The Veil trembled. Light cracked. A thin fissure formed in the celestial wall that had held him back for centuries.
"She will burn," he whispered. "And when I take her divine womb, the world will remember my name again."
POV Reyna
She awoke gasping, her hands pressed to her temples. Visions tore through her, of fire, silver, blood, and a single whisper echoing through her bones,
"The veil is breached. You must find his name. Now."
She leapt to her feet, barely able to breathe.
"Fuck. Fuck. FUCK."
If there was ever a more unhinged, loud, emotionally explosive breakfast… it hadn't happened in the last five thousand years.
Rhiannan tried to sneak into the grand hall unnoticed. Silly goddess. The moment she stepped into the room, all ten of the final trial survivors, the rebels, and half the fucking castle staff erupted in cheers. Mo nearly somersaulted off the buffet table yelling:
"I'M GONNA BE A BIG BROTHER UNCLE CELINE DION LIGHTNING WARLOCK!!!"
Liam leaned in and whispered, "I don't think he knows what that means."
Kaleb just grinned, visibly proud. "Let him have it. He's been dreaming about this since Rhiannan gave him a job."
As plates were passed, pancakes stacked, and juice was spilled everywhere, FaeNet was losing its entire immortal mind:

Two hours later, Rhiannan's glow was still radiating like a bonfire as she sat at the head of the war table with her six mates around her, each one looking like they'd rather wrap her in blankets than go to war. Too bad.
The room was packed:
Reyna and her four mates (Torvax, Nahlia, Veydran and the silent, deadly red wolf)
Kazra and her two pretty boys
Zaiya and her bonded lion shifter and sun elf dreamboats
Mo, caffeinated beyond reason
And every rebellion leader that had survived the chaos so far.
Reyna stood. The room fell silent.
"I had another vision. The veil was bleeding. The goddess showed me a crumbling tower of obsidian hidden in a canyon no map shows. A name was carved into the walls, burning with divine fire."
She turned to Rhiannan, steady and strong.
"It's the King's true name. The only way we'll end him."
The rebel leaders exchanged tense looks.
Zaiya snarled, "Then we go."
"Wait." Iriel Dawnreaver's voice cut through like divine bells. He stood, flanked by Soris and Bruxxa.
Reyna blinked. "You're not leaving?"
Soris smiled faintly. "We don't leave our Oracle."
Bruxxa nodded, baring her teeth. "You're ours now, girl. We follow."
Reyna's breath caught, but her eyes gleamed. "Then let's pack."
FAENET CORRUPTION
Meanwhile, Sasha pulsed red. On every reflective rune surface in the castle, a flicker of static began twitching.
"Uhhhhh guys?" Sasha's voice rang through the war room. "We've got something weird... something wrong."
They all turned to the nearest mirror rune as Sasha continued...
"That fissure? The veil? The entity's energy is gone...completely."
A heavy silence hit the room like a thunderclap.
Rhiannan stood, already glowing with power. "Then he's dead."
Kaleb muttered, "So who the fuck tore a hole in the veil?"
Sasha's screen blinked once. Then again.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out. But I don't think we're alone anymore. And I don't think the Forgotten King's waiting around."
