Chapter 64 - Chapter 64- The Soul Fire Vision

The room was silent, save for the slow, heavy breathing of five god tier men wrapped around their goddess like armor. Kaleb's hand draped across her hip. Arwen's leg tangled with hers. Liam's forehead pressed to her back. Elisha's arm curled possessively over her belly, and Sable? His tail was wrapped around her fucking ankle like a leash.

She was loved. Protected. Anchored.

And still, the dream came.

She stood in a void of silver fire, floating midair. Stars spun above. Below her feet: endless soul mirrors, reflecting not faces, but truths. Ugly truths. Hidden truths. The kind that left blood on your hands and silence in your throat.

The Goddess appeared, her form an eclipse made of light and shadow.

"You've tested their strength. Their courage. Their magic," she said, her voice echoing like prophecy in Rhiannan's bones.

"Now, test their soul."

Rhiannan blinked, her voice hoarse. "How?"

The Goddess raised her hand and the void shifted.

One by one, glowing silhouettes appeared. Contestants, stripped of flesh and magic, reduced to essence. Each one walked toward a gateway...but before they could pass through, a mirror rose before them.

In it, they saw the worst moment of their life.

And they had to choose: Face it. Forgive it. Or fall.

Some screamed. Some wept. Some collapsed.

One shattered the mirror with a warcry and walked through like a warrior reborn.

"This is the Trial of Truthfire," the Goddess said.

"Their sins will burn. Their regrets will rise. Only those who stand in their fire and do not flinch may pass."

Rhiannan's heart thundered.

"What if they're not ready?" she asked.

"Then they are not your champions."

The vision ended in a blaze of golden flames that kissed her forehead and whispered:

"You will know the chosen three when you feel your soul answer theirs."

Rhiannan jolted awake, gasping, heart pounding. Her five stirred, their instincts kicking in immediately. Weapons. Magic. Claws.

But she reached for Kaleb first, gripping his hand.

"I saw it," she whispered. "The final trial... the soulfire test."

They all stared.

And Liam, ever the vampire king of sass, muttered, "Fuck me sideways. Sounds like a trauma buffet."

The Forgotten King stirred.

The shadows in his realm didn't just move, they listened. They worshipped. The air was thick with rot and reverence. His throne of bone groaned under his weight as he leaned forward, clawed fingers drumming against the polished skull of a long dead god.

"It's time," he hissed, the voice like wet parchment being torn. "Let's see if she still breathes…"

From his spine, a tendril of sentient shadow slithered upward and pierced the veil between realms.

The Goddess, still recovering from her divine tether to Rhiannan, staggered. Her energy was raw, pulsing with prophecy and protection. But when the veil trembled… she felt him.

The Forgotten King… testing the perimeter.

"He dares." Her voice was thunder and heartbreak.

The other gods rallied...warriors, ancients, serpents made of time itself...each one lending her their power. The moment his tendril slipped through the seam, she snatched it like a viper.

And pulled.

Suddenly, she was there. In his domain. In his mind. Her light singed his shadows, and for the briefest second… he panicked.

She saw flashes. Disjointed thoughts. Half spoken truths.

A name… hidden inside a ruin lost to time.

Sealed behind three blood oaths.

Guarded by the Obsidian Chorus, a cult of soul singers who'd pledged their lives to his silence.

She smiled.

"Thank you, bastard."

And then she exploded back through the veil like a divine nova, sending the Forgotten King reeling backward in his throne, bleeding shadow ichor from his ears.

"FIND HER!" he roared, voice cracking the very bones of his realm. "FIND THE ORACLE, KILL REYNA VOSS!!"

Reyna shot upright in bed, gasping. Both mates flanked her instantly, weapons already drawn.

"Vision," she choked. "It came from the Goddess. She… she found where the name is."

She looked at Torvax. At Nahlia. At the map burning into her memory.

"We're one step closer to killing that motherfucker." She seethed angrily.

The Goddess stood atop a bridge of stardust, the constellations bowing around her like obedient serpents of light. Her body still trembled from the encounter with the Forgotten King, her essence stretched thin between realms...but she wasn't done.

"The girl must know… and so must they."

She reached forward, her fingers glowing with truthwoven fire, and pushed one final surge of vision through the veil...not to Reyna this time, but to her mates.

It hit like a comet.

They both shot upright in their shared bed, eyes glowing with celestial intensity as the voice of the Goddess rang through them, dual, divine, and completely impossible to ignore.

"She is not just a seer."

"Reyna Voss is The Oracle. The Chosen. The Divine Mouthpiece."

"She will see truths no one else dares. Speak words that shake thrones. And the Forgotten King will hunt her until her bones turn to dust."

Suddenly, they saw her...Reyna...shimmering with divine runes, a crown of golden vines on her brow, surrounded by fire, water, and a halo of insight. Wings of ink black prophecy unfurling from her spine.

"You are her first line of defense," the Goddess continued, tone steel edged.

"Two more will come. You will know them by the way the air holds still in their presence. You will accept them."

"Because she is the divine flame in the dark. And if she falls…"

The entire vision trembled as the realm cracked and shadow devoured the sky.

"…the world burns with her."

Torvax's chest heaved, frost dancing over his shoulders. Nahlia clutched the sheets, eyes wide.

Neither spoke for a long moment....until Torvax finally muttered:

"Well fuck me sideways… Our girl's a goddamn Oracle."

Nahlia wiped a tear and whispered:

"And we're her blade and shield. Time to act like it."

They both looked toward Reyna, still asleep between them, glowing faintly in the dark.

"Two more mates, huh?" Torvax sighed. "She's collecting hearts like they're Pokémon."
