POV King Kristoff
The shadows in the throne room whispered louder than his council ever had.
He sat slouched in the obsidian throne, crown tilted, red eyed and gaunt, robes wrinkled like he hadn't changed them in days. His fingers drummed violently against the armrest more out of madness than thought.
The court had fled. Cowards, all of them.
Servants disappeared overnight. Advisors vanished into thin air. Even the guards stopped reporting.
Only she remained.
Queen Lorelei sat like a statue beside him still, perfect, and hollow. Her silver hair braided into a crown of thorns, her eyes... black as tar.
Kristoff hadn't dared ask when they changed.
He already knew.
The whispers had become screams. The walls bled when he closed his eyes. His own shadow had started talking back.
And Faenet?
Faenet was on fucking fire.

Kristoff's laughter rang out, sharp and cracked. "You all wanted power. You wanted a goddess. WELL, YOU GOT ONE, DIDN'T YOU?"
He stood, arms flailing, crown falling to the floor with a clatter. The RuneCams activated automatically, State Address Protocol. They were broadcasting live.
The king didn't notice.
Or maybe he didn't care.
"She's a THIEF!" he shouted. "Rhiannan. Goddess? Ha! She was mine to control. A weapon. And you all let her go!"
He turned to Lorelei, eyes wild. "And YOU! You LET them!"
Queen Lorelei blinked slowly, lips curling into a cold, knowing smile.
"She was never yours," she said in a voice like ice cracking. "And you were never king. Just a place holder. A pawn."
Something deep inside him snapped.
He lunged for her. Screaming.
And slammed into the cold stone floor as she vanished like mist.
POV Queen Lorelei
She stepped through the dimensional tear the Entity left for her, robes gliding like smoke.
She had waited long enough.
She'd served as the royal face, the pretty mask while Kristoff spiraled, but he was useless now. Weak. Mortal.
Now she would become something more.
In the Entity's realm, black fog coiled around her like a lover's embrace.
"You called, my king," she whispered.
The Entity's voice wrapped around her bones.
"You've earned your seed of shadow. Do not fail me."
She bowed as the black thorned magic pierced her chest like a parasite and latched onto her heart. Her mouth opened in a silent scream, but she didn't resist.
She welcomed it.
Back in the Throne Room - RuneCam Feed STILL LIVE
Kristoff's final breakdown was broadcast to millions.
He staggered back to the throne, giggling, mumbling names. Gailia. Arwen. Rhiannan.
"She ruined everything..."
He turned, muttering a final prayer...though no god was listening.
Then, with no ceremony, he climbed the balcony rail... and jumped.
The scream of the crowd watching the livestream echoed across the world.

Rhiannan stared in stone silence at the Faenet feed, her fists clenched so tightly her nails left crescent moons in her palms. The king.. Kristoff. his mind shattered live on camera. His death. The queen...Lorelei, vanishing into darkness. The entire royal court scattered like roaches. It was the moment they'd all been waiting for.
Her eyes burned. Her rage crackled.
She stood up slowly, her presence commanding, her voice rising and magically amplified across the castle and Faenet itself.
"We storm the fucking castle. NOW."
For a split second, the world held its breath.
Then...
Chaos ignited.
Thousands of rebel soldiers roared in unified rage and purpose. Portals burst open like fireworks. The ground trembled under the stampede of feet, weapons clanging and magic sparking.
Rebels surged forward toward the royal castle, accompanied by mobs of angry citizens, shouting, chanting, weeping with joy and fury. The skies were lit with spellfire. Flags bearing the sigil of the rebellion flew high, Zaiya's blood red lightning bolt crest, bold and fierce.
Elisha roared, golden wings unfurling in a flash of brilliance as he shifted mid run, scooping up Zaiya, Kazra, Arwen, and Kaleb in his massive claws.
Sable let out an unholy scream of power, wings slicing the air as he took off beside Rhiannan.
Rhiannan shifted into her full silver dragon form, scales crackling with divine light, and launched herself with Sable toward the castle gates. Her voice echoed through the air again, this time caught live by every single RuneCam around the city:
"We claim the castle for the people. The reign of terror ends NOW."
Inside the Royal Castle
The gates burst open as Rhiannan and her men landed with thunderous impact. Rhiannan shifted back immediately, eyeing the scene.
The castle staff cowered or fled. There were no guards left. Just abandoned halls filled with stolen riches and old power.
The people surged in.
Screams of joy. Laughter. Tears. Looters rushed through the grand halls, prying open gilded cabinets and filling sacks with stolen jewels, crowns, and royal wine.
Food stores were ransacked, not from greed, but hunger. Starving citizens took bread and fruit, pastries and wine. Children laughed. Mothers wept.
Rhiannan stood at the top of the grand staircase and shouted over the chaos,
"Take it. All of it. What they stole from you is yours again. This place? It's dead. We'll raze it to the godsdamned ground. And we'll rebuild something real. Something RIGHT."

The castle cracked and moaned as spells shattered ancient enchantments. The world had changed.
And in the ruins of a corrupt regime, something glorious had begun.
The age of the Pentacle had arrived.
