Chapter 36 - CHAPTER 36: Drafting The Deal

Xavier sat in his office, the morning sun pouring through the tall windows, casting sharp lines across his desk. His focus was tight, locked on the upcoming Dravin meeting.

"Tell the logistics team to finalize the shipping options by end of day," he instructed over the phone, flipping through the latest reports. "I want the exclusivity terms restructured. Present flexibility without losing control."

"Yes, sir."

His assistant entered just as he ended the call, carrying a slim folder. "I gathered additional notes on Mrs. Dravin's style preferences."

Xavier glanced through the folder briefly, already deciding his next move. "Drop these at Amara's shop. She's handling this."

"Understood, sir. Should I set another appointment with her?"

"No. Just deliver the file. She'll know what to do."

He closed the folder and set it aside, shifting his attention back to the broader strategy. The Dravin deal had no room for missteps. Richard Dravin was a hard man to win, and Xavier intended to get it right.

If this went well, it could be one of the biggest deals they had ever closed—and it would ensure that Dracarys remained in the lead.

"Remind me of the negotiation structure," Xavier said, leaning back in his chair.

"Initial contract presentation by your team. Richard Dravin and his two advisors will review it on the spot. Final terms to be discussed over a formal dinner after the initial session."

"Good. I want the dinner to go well. Make sure our side knows every detail of Dravin's non-negotiables. And prepare the secondary offers."

"Already in progress, sir."

Xavier's fingers drummed lightly against the desk. "And remind everyone—this is about partnership, not control. Dravin wants to feel respected, not cornered."

"Yes, sir. One more thing—the presentation slides for the regional projections are ready for your review."

"I'll look at them before noon."

His assistant paused briefly before adding, "I'm getting information that his wife may also attend the meeting. It hasn't been confirmed yet, but it seems highly likely."

Xavier only nodded. If so, then we can present the already-designed dress to her personally.

I'm sure that will make her appreciate it more.

"Confirm it and get back to me."

"Understood."

When his assistant left, Xavier sat in silence for a moment, his gaze dropping briefly to the schedule pinned to his desk. It was all mapped out: the expansion, the negotiations, the timeline to take over from his father.

All of it was within reach. All of it depended on precision, control, and the ability to close.

And this deal with Dravin? It would be a critical step.

There was no room for delay. He had to make sure everything was perfect.

Amara would handle the design for Mrs. Dravin. Xavier would handle everything else.

Lost in thought for a while, he massaged the spot between his brows before returning to the documents piled on his office table.

Work.

Progress.

Results.

It kept him away from his wandering thoughts.
