"No, I don't need that kind of thing."
Mangetsu shook his head after learning that he could receive chakra from the Three-Tails. Instead, he expressed his desire for the power of the Six-Tails.
"I'd prefer to share the power of the Six-Tails instead."
"Reason?" asked the Third Mizukage, his voice terse.
Mangetsu replied, "My Clan specializes in Water Release. The Three-Tails also uses Water Release."
Yagura raised a brow in surprise. "Isn't that a good thing? That means your chakra natures align."
Mangetsu shook his head. "No. It means our abilities would overlap. If I were receiving the entire Three-Tails, I'd be happy our powers complemented each other perfectly."
"But if I'm only getting a portion of the chakra, I'd prefer a new attribute. The Six-Tails has the ability to secrete corrosive acid. That could greatly enhance my Clan's Water Release techniques."
"The Three-Tails' chakra wouldn't do much for me besides replenishing my chakra reserves and granting partial transformation. But those same benefits come from the Six-Tails—plus the acid release. So the Three-Tails' chakra holds little value to me."
Zenkichi smirked from the sidelines. "A man with clear goals… how terrifying."
Mangetsu cast a sidelong glance at him.
Zenkichi shrugged. "Alright, since you've picked your favorite tailed beast's chakra, we'll go with that."
Terumi Mei cut in skeptically. "With all due respect, is just part of a tailed beast's chakra really useful?"
Zenkichi answered, "Of course it is. Even a fragment of their chakra contains more power than ten times your own."
"Not to mention, chakra of this level gives you access to abilities like the Tailed Beast Bomb—devastating in range and destructive potential."
Momochi Zabuza frowned. "But wouldn't splitting a tailed beast's chakra prevent full transformation?"
"I heard that full transformation is a jinchūriki's greatest strength. Isn't this just giving that up?"
The Third Mizukage shook his head. "No, you misunderstand. A full tailed beast is indeed powerful—but extremely difficult to control."
"When you split the chakra, you weaken the beast's will and gain better control over its power."
"Besides, full transformations are rare. They're risky, often unstable, and in most cases, uncontrollable."
Zenkichi added, "And truthfully, full transformation isn't as powerful as people think. For most jinchūriki, going full-beast is just releasing the tailed beast."
"Is a tailed beast strong in battle? Sure. But for someone at Kage level, taking one down isn't that hard. I just defeated the Three-Tails with ease."
Momochi Zabuza raised his hand. "If Mangetsu doesn't want the Three-Tails… can I have it?"
Zenkichi looked him over, then nodded. "You want it? It's yours."
"With your talent, controlling its chakra shouldn't be a problem."
Zabuza's natural strength made him a suitable vessel. Even a portion of the Three-Tails' chakra could be mastered by someone like him.
Yagura retained the core of the Three-Tails sealed within him, while a portion of its chakra was transferred into Zabuza.
The jinchūriki of the Six-Tails released their tailed beast. A white slug-like creature—the Six-Tails—appeared in front of Zenkichi.
As soon as it materialized, it launched a spray of corrosive liquid at him.
Zenkichi smirked. "Ooh? That's dangerous!"
He turned into particles of light and reappeared behind the Six-Tails in an instant.
A golden lightsaber formed in his hand. Without hesitation, he slashed down, slicing off three of the Six-Tails' tails.
Just as he prepared to sever the remaining ones, the severed tails twitched—transforming into three smaller slugs.
They crawled toward the Six-Tails and reattached themselves, reforming its body.
"Just like Tsunade's slugs… it can split and regenerate?"
Zenkichi's eyes widened before he grinned.
The golden lightsaber flashed again. This time, he divided the Six-Tails into four distinct segments.
Lightspeed Kick!
Light surged around his feet as he delivered a kick that bypassed the acid's corrosive effects, scattering the four parts far apart.
"Seal them—quickly!"
At his command, the sealing squad sprang into action.
Black ink surged across the ground, racing toward the scattered tailed beast fragments. The seals activated, forming glowing circles that wrapped around the pieces like cages.
The power of the sealing jutsu activated, pulling the chakra portions into containment.
"I heard the number of tails reflects how much chakra a beast has," Zenkichi murmured. "Divide the Three-Tails in two. The Six-Tails into four. Seems fair enough."
He gave the order to finish sealing them.
Mangetsu received a portion of the Six-Tails, becoming a pseudo-jinchūriki. Despite it being just one-quarter, the chakra he gained vastly surpassed the reserves of the One-Tail.
Because the tailed beasts were split, their wills also fractured—making them easier to subdue than full beasts like Shukaku.
Along with Mangetsu, Ao, Terumi Mei, and Mizunashi Yukine each received a quarter of the Six-Tails' chakra, making them pseudo-jinchūriki as well.
Though they didn't possess a full tailed beast, they still held immense power—without the fatal risk.
Unlike full jinchūriki, if a pseudo-jinchūriki lost their chakra, their lives weren't endangered.
"Zenkichi-sensei…"
Kisame Hoshigaki stared at Zenkichi with his usual dead-fish eyes, his shark-like face full of grievance.
Zenkichi chuckled. "Relax. You don't need this kind of power."
"Samehada is the most special of the Seven Ninja Swords. It can absorb chakra continuously and feed it to its wielder."
"No matter the nature—Fire, Water, even a Tailed Beast Bomb—Samehada devours it all."
"I'm giving it to you. With that sword… tailed beast chakra becomes unnecessary."
Kisame's expression lightened instantly.
So… he wasn't being left out. That was good.
