"An ultra-ancient civilization built on the Greel Stone? I know."
"Since you're the inheritors, you must have plenty of relics from this super-ancient civilization, right?"
"I need those. Hand them over, and I might spare your lives."
Zenkichi looked at Hyde and the others, speaking with calm indifference.
"The legacy of a super-ancient civilization?"
"Friend, that's a little greedy," Hyde sneered, his eyes cold as he stared at Zenkichi.
"Friend? Who's your friend?" Zenkichi's tone sharpened. "Don't get it twisted. You're just my prisoner now."
Zenkichi glanced at Hyde dismissively, his tone flat.
"You—!"
"Attack!" Hyde shouted, unable to contain the frustration. He wanted to force Zenkichi to reveal his true strength and gave the order without hesitation.
Three of Hyde's subordinates—female warriors modified with the Greel Stone—rushed into battle. The Greel Stone, a mysterious ore, had been implanted into their bodies, granting them extraordinary powers.
The Greel Stone could turn ordinary women into supernatural beings—vampires, werewolves, and ape-like mutants. Despite its limited quantity, it was essentially a crystallization of immense chakra. Long before Kaguya Ōtsutsuki arrived on this planet, humans had already discovered the Greel Stone and used it to forge a brilliant super-ancient civilization. In that sense, calling Kaguya the "origin of chakra" was somewhat misleading.
Zenkichi found the Greel Stone intriguing. The creatures of the Three Great Sage Lands had chakra too, and these technological relics held potential to advance the shinobi world's science and power. Though now wasn't the time for theory, obtaining them early couldn't hurt.
The three women attacked together. The female werewolf, once injured by Zenkichi's laser, now glared at him and let out a terrifying roar.
The soundwave she released blasted forward like a focused beam.
"A sonic shock? How terrifying," Zenkichi said sarcastically, leaning back slightly to dodge.
The soundwave passed clean through him, creating a large hole in his torso. But instead of blood, golden light shimmered within. Light particles rushed in from all directions, instantly repairing the damage.
"No way…" the werewolf muttered in disbelief. She knew how lethal that sonic shock was—how could it have no effect?
"Something's wrong with his body," said the female vampire. She lunged at Zenkichi, claws sharp and swift. She managed to scratch him, but the wounds healed instantly.
"Just as I thought… his body is different."
"Then I'll try lightning!" roared the female ape-mutant. Electricity crackled across her body as she threw a punch straight at Zenkichi.
Her fist, wrapped in blazing lightning, looked devastating. But—
"Lightning? How scary," Zenkichi muttered mockingly. He didn't dodge. The electrified punch phased right through him.
"You're done?" Zenkichi asked, eyes lazily scanning them. "Then it's my turn."
"Wait!" Hyde shouted, lifting a gloved hand. Embedded in the glove's back was an emerald-green gem that flared with energy, releasing a shockwave at Zenkichi.
"Is that all you've got?" Zenkichi said flatly as the wave split his body in two.
Golden light surged skyward, and in an instant, his body reformed—perfect and whole.
"You think a fancy glove is gonna turn the tide?" he said with a smirk. "What is this, the Infinity Gauntlet?"
"Lord Hyde, retreat!" the female vampire shouted.
She exhaled a thick mist to mask their escape.
"It's pointless," Zenkichi said calmly. "Didn't you notice? I saved Zabuza in the mist earlier."
"In other words, that trick doesn't work on me."
He lifted a finger. A sharp golden glow bloomed at his fingertip—lasers fired out in a blink.
Screams rang out as all four enemies were hit—none escaped.
"Wind Release: Typhoon Breakthrough!"
Yagura weaved hand signs and released a gust of wind. Though its destructive power was average, it excelled at dispersing mist—a natural counter to Kirigakure no Jutsu.
As the fog cleared, Hyde and his subordinates were revealed.
Hyde glanced at Terumi Mei, Yagura, and the others… then shifted his gaze to Zabuza and Kisame.
"What now? Looking for hostages?" Zenkichi said lazily. A golden laser flicked from his fingertip and pierced Hyde's shoulder.
Symmetrical. Just like earlier—both shoulders were now wounded.
His arms hung limp. Even with those gloves, he was useless now.
The three female warriors, however, remained defiant. After a moment's hesitation, they charged toward Zabuza's group.
In a flash of golden light, Zenkichi appeared before them.
"Too slow."
He casually lifted his leg. A golden cross of light spun from his sole as he unleashed a flurry of three consecutive kicks.
These women were Hyde's lackeys, nothing more. Besides the Greel Stone embedded in their bodies, they had no value. Worse yet, their unstable nature made them dangerous.
So Zenkichi showed no mercy—three clean hits. End of story.
