Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Madara? Or Kaguya?

Inside the intelligence exchange space, the illusionary scene gradually shifted, soon becoming a quiet, empty Konoha Village.

Uchiha Yun sat alone atop the Hokage Rock, gazing thoughtfully down at the village below.

'It seems the reality of this world aligns more with the anime version from my memories. Two years ago, I thought Fugaku didn't possess the Mangekyō, but it turns out the clan leader hid it well.'

From the chip he acquired, Yun could tell that the two abilities of Fugaku's Mangekyō likely had severe limitations, aside from one useful in battle.

'Uchiha Madara… Uchiha Sasuke's Indra chakra… Uzumaki, no, now it's Namikaze Naruto's Asura chakra…'

All Yun ever wanted was to live peacefully in the village. But to prevent others from controlling his life and death, he had to keep growing stronger.

In the middle of the night, Yun emerged from the exchange hall, his expression slightly tense. The flood of information from the trade lingered in his mind.

[Simulating future changes in Uchiha Obito's fate]

[Confirmed death outcome: undetermined]

[Third-layer nested plot: Uchiha Madara fate altered]

[Fourth Ninja War: altered]

[Uchiha Obito's fate alteration degree: 62%]

[Fire-nature chakra (can fuse with kekkei genkai)]

[Wood Release (kekkei genkai)]

[Mangekyō Sharingan Power: Uchiha Obito – Kamui (Right Eye)]

[Note: Uchiha Obito (bloodline)]

[Mangekyō Sharingan Power: Uchiha Fugaku – (Kotodama)]

[Note: Uchiha Fugaku (bloodline)]

'Kotodama? The power of divine speech? Was that the ability of Fugaku's eyes?'

Initially, Yun wanted Obito's Kamui Mangekyō, but at the time, Obito's eye still had only two tomoe. It only evolved after it was transplanted into Kakashi.

Kamui was acknowledged as one of the strongest Mangekyō powers. With both eyes together, it formed an offense-defense spatial combo.

But…

Yun's focus shifted to the bloodline notes:

[Note: Uchiha Obito bloodline]

[Note: Uchiha Fugaku bloodline]

These weren't arbitrary. Also, Obito only had one Kamui eye in the exchange, something Yun hadn't expected.

After a moment of thought, he looked again at the other option:

[Mangekyō Sharingan Power: Uchiha Fugaku – (Kotodama)]

'This eye's ability might not be as simple as it seemed. And if Fugaku's Mangekyō evolved further, it could become an Eternal Mangekyō. Combine that with Hashirama cells, or Asura's chakra, and it might even evolve into the Rinnegan.'

Yun recalled the so-called "Six Paths-level" powers from memory, true endgame abilities in the Naruto universe. The Six Paths tier was qualitatively different from everything else.

He looked at his reflection in the mirror. From a single tomoe, his eye evolved to three tomoe, which then spun into a triangular shuriken-like Mangekyō, its tomoe embedded at the corners.

The Mangekyō's power, combined with his own Sage Body.

Yun turned his gaze to a cup of water: "Kotodama"

Suddenly, a vision flashed in his mind. It was as if a parallel scene unfolded, and a kunai shattered the cup, water spilled everywhere.

Two seconds.

The power to predict two seconds into the future?

Yun looked at his ninja tool pouch. But unlike the scene he foresaw, he didn't throw a kunai.

A paradox, this wasn't truly "seeing" the future, but rather a projected possibility.

Constructing a scene from a single point. The divine power of speech.

The water cup still sat there, untouched.

'Too bad Fugaku's other eye's ability had even more extreme restrictions than Shisui's Kotoamatsukami. It could predict one possible outcome based on a "point," but even Mount Myōboku's great toad sage could only predict randomly.'

'Kaguya Ōtsutsuki? Uchiha Madara?'

'Should I use it? On whom?'

Yun scratched his head in frustration. Even Danzo, who had Hashirama cells, experienced a significant cooldown when using Shisui's eye.

Danzo's Kotoamatsukami needed a continuous chakra link. But Shisui's other eye, from the manga, could fire off a genjutsu even over Edo Tensei.

Even with Hashirama cells, the cooldown must be insane.

"Forget it. I'll think about it next year."

Yun figured Obito was probably off transferring corpses now anyway. He'd just steal them later.

And if Kaguya really left enough physical remains in this world… who needs anything else?

Also…

If Yun's guess was right about Fugaku's bloodline, he'd need to wait for Itachi's Mangekyō.

Would the Eternal Mangekyō reduce cooldown times? If it just prevents blindness, then he'd have to wait for Sasuke to grow up.

'Rinnegan… Six Paths…'

As morning sunlight spilled in, Yun yawned by the door and called into the house:

"Izumi, you done yet?"

"Just a minute, big brother!" came her voice from inside.

Their mother turned to Yun with a smile:

"Izumi's really dressing up today. Yun, do you know it's for that little boy she likes?"

Yun replied a bit awkwardly:

"Mom… we're still three months away from turning nine. Are you seriously trying to marry her off already?"

Uchiha Hazuki just laughed warmly:

"No matter what, I hope I'll live to see Yun married with kids, and Izumi find someone she loves."

Looking at his mother, Yun finally understood.

Their household had long lacked a pillar. Their mother brought them to the Uchiha district early. No melodramatic past, just a simple, quiet wish for a better future.

Yun sighed and replied:

"We're assigned a mission with a jonin today. Itachi will be coming along too, so…"

At that moment, Izumi finally emerged, wearing a dress and a clip in her side-swept bangs.

"I'm ready, big brother. Let's go!"

Yun eyed her from top to bottom:

"Are you wearing leggings underneath?"

Izumi blinked:

"Of course! I want to look nice, but we're on a mission today. I've got pants and an undershirt."

Yun nodded approvingly. After saying goodbye to their mother, the two headed off to school.

"Big bro, why aren't you using a shadow clone today?"

"How do you know this isn't one?"

"Huh? Really?! You went out training early again?"

"Just kidding. No shadow clone today. I'm in a good mood, I'll walk you to school."

"You wanna see Itachi, don't you?"

"Uhh…"

Yun looked awkward but couldn't deny it.

"Been over a year since graduation… Why hasn't he shown up yet?"
