The sun burned high above the rebel camp as the preparations for war intensified. Soldiers sharpened their blades, reinforced armor, and studied maps by firelight. Whispers spread like wildfire across the oasis: the princess had returned, and with her came a man strong enough to shake the foundations of Alabasta itself.

Rael stood at the edge of the rebel formation grounds, watching two men spar. His gaze wasn't on their blades, but their stance, footwork, and resolve. Behind him, Koza approached, arms crossed.

"They don't know how to fight a war against someone like Crocodile," Koza said.

Rael didn't look back. "They'll learn. Or they'll die."

Koza grunted. "Blunt. But true."

Kaya and Vivi stood under the shade of a date tree, both watching the soldiers and discussing what supplies they would need for the journey ahead.

"We'll need more water reserves," Kaya noted. "And bandages. We don't know how far Crocodile's reach goes."

Vivi nodded. "The Rainbase is a fortress, but it can be taken. If we strike before he moves the Pluton blueprint, we can end this."

Koza called a meeting that evening inside the command tent. Around a table, he, Rael, Kaya, Vivi, and several rebel captains sat hunched over maps of Alabasta. The tension was palpable.

"Crocodile's current base is here," Koza pointed to Rainbase. "He's expecting a direct assault."

"Then we don't give him one," Rael said. "We distract."

All eyes turned to him.

Rael pointed to two locations on the map: Nanohana and Erumalu.

"Send two strike teams to raid his supply routes. Set fires. Cause panic. Make it seem like you're splitting forces."

Koza leaned in. "And while he focuses there..."

"We go straight through the desert and strike at the heart."

Vivi spoke up. "But the desert is treacherous. Even with camels, the journey will take days."

Rael looked at her. "Then we move tonight."

As the moon rose, they departed.

A small force—Rael, Kaya, Vivi, and a dozen elite rebels—crossed the dunes in silence. Sandstorms threatened on the horizon, but they pressed on, driven by urgency and conviction.

By the third night, Rael stood watch while the others slept. The wind whispered across the sand, and he stared out into the endless black.

Kaya stirred beside the fire, sitting up and joining him.

"You haven't slept in two days," she said.

"I don't need much."

"You're not invincible."

Rael glanced at her. "No. But close."

Kaya smirked. "Cocky."

"Confident."

Silence settled between them.

"I know you're not doing this for glory," she said quietly. "But what happens after?"

Rael didn't answer. His eyes remained fixed on the stars.

"You keep moving. Like you always do," Kaya said.

Rael turned to her slowly. "Not unless you stop me."

Kaya reached out and touched his hand. "Then maybe I will."

By the fifth day, the heat was unbearable.

Vivi collapsed from exhaustion. Rael carried her without complaint.

They finally reached the outskirts of Rainbase by dusk. The fortress loomed ahead, jagged towers rising like fangs from the sand.

"This is it," Vivi whispered. "He's inside."

Rael set her down gently. "Then we end this."

From the shadows, Miss Sunday emerged, cloak fluttering.

"I thought you'd make it," she said with a sly smile.

Kaya and Vivi instinctively stepped in front of Rael.

"Why are you here?" Kaya demanded.

"To help."

Rael nodded. "You owe us an explanation."

Miss Sunday tilted her head. "Maybe I'm tired of serving the losing side. Or maybe I just like how you shake the world when you walk."

She tossed a parchment at his feet—a floor plan of the Rainbase.

"He won't expect an underground entry. There's a water channel here that leads straight to his throne room. Use it."

Vivi narrowed her eyes. "Why would you betray him now?"

Miss Sunday smiled. "Because the storm's already coming. Might as well enjoy the ride."

Rael pocketed the map. "Then we move at dawn."

They retreated to a nearby cave to rest. Tomorrow, the final strike would begin.

And Crocodile would learn what it meant to face a force of nature.
