Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Beginning of Everything

There was a world that was completely normal. Everything was running smoothly, just like any other day. In every city, life flowed in its usual rhythm. But then suddenly… the world changed.

One day, dungeons started appearing everywhere. People couldn't understand what was happening. Every corner of the world was talking about only one thing. Every TV channel, every news report, every discussion revolved around a single question:

"What is this thing?"

---

Scene: Mountain Region

Atop a mountain, a dungeon had appeared. A few days later, some people came hiking through the area. They saw the dungeon up close.

"This thing looks weird," one man said.

His friend stepped forward to stop him. "This could be dangerous. It's better if we stay away."

But the man—his name was Yun—replied, "Oh come on, nothing's going to happen. Let me just touch it once."

His friend kept warning him, but Yun reached out and touched the dungeon.

The moment his hand made contact, he was pulled inside.

His friend screamed, "Yun! Yun!" But there was no response.

Then suddenly, a loud scream echoed from within, and cracks began to form on the dungeon's surface. From inside, a terrifying face appeared… and it stared straight at Yun's friend.

The fear pierced straight through to his soul.

He turned and ran—straight to the nearest police station. By the time he arrived, his entire body was drenched in sweat.

An officer approached and asked, "What happened? Why do you look so terrified?"

The boy couldn't even speak properly. His throat was dry, his voice barely coming out. The officer kept questioning him.

But the only thing the boy could say was:

"Everything is going to end... they're coming!"

Suddenly, another scream was heard.

Something was stirring atop the mountain.

Everyone nearby turned their gaze toward the peak—

It looked like the mountain itself was being torn apart…

And that destruction was now heading straight toward the city.

At a nearby shop, a television was playing live coverage.

A breaking news alert flashed on-screen:

"The strange object that suddenly appeared has shattered…

And now, monsters are emerging from within, spreading chaos in every direction."

From every dungeon gate, different types of monsters began pouring out—

Goblins from one…

Orcs from another…

Spiders and ant-like creatures from the rest.

Each one was a nightmare come to life, and they were rampaging everywhere.

People panicked.

Screams filled the streets.

Chaos erupted like wildfire.

Suddenly, a horde of goblins—each wielding crude knives—came charging down.

Without warning, they began attacking civilians.

One goblin leapt onto a man and slit his throat in a single motion,

Then held up his severed head and laughed gleefully.

It was a massacre—

Goblins slaying children…

Goblins butchering the elderly.

Blood, screams, and the dance of death.

---

Military Intervention

The military launched a full-scale response.

But their bullets… their missiles… nothing worked.

The monsters were completely unaffected.

Then, a man named John Silvert picked up a fallen goblin's knife.

His eyes burned with fury and tears.

That goblin had slaughtered his family—

His beloved wife…

And his one-year-old child who loved the rain.

The goblin noticed him.

It tilted its head and gave a creepy little smile—

As if John Silvert looked like a delicious meal.

Then it started laughing—wild, twisted laughter.

John didn't stop.

With rage boiling inside him, he charged.

At first, the goblin dodged all his attacks with ease.

Then suddenly—it struck.

A deep stab to John's chest.

Blood gushed out.

John staggered back, groaning in pain.

The goblin licked the blood off its blade like it was tasting heaven.

It seemed to enjoy the taste of John's pain.

Then it lunged at him again.

Slashing.

Striking.

Again and again.

John kept dodging and blocking, barely hanging on.

And then—he roared with all his might and delivered one final, desperate slash.

It came so suddenly…

Even the goblin couldn't react.

The blade connected.

The goblin's head flew off its shoulders.

John Silvert exhaled sharply.

At that moment—

A golden light burst out from within him.

He had awakened.

The divine energy of a Sword God surged through his veins.

A glowing sword manifested in his hand.

John Silvert…

Had become a powerful swordsman.

Just then—a dragon came flying toward him.

John took a battle stance,

Leapt high into the air…

And with one clean slash—

Decapitated the dragon.

Seeing Jon fight so fiercely, courage sparked in the hearts of the people.

Slowly, they too began fighting back against the monsters.

Many lost their lives, but some began to awaken.

The stronger Jon's willpower grew,

The more awakenings began happening around him.

Together, the people rose…

And fought the monsters back.

Eventually, the battle was won.

For a while, the world was silent.

After so much destruction, there was finally… relief.

But even in that silence,

Ruins surrounded the cities—

Shattered buildings,

Bodies of loved ones lying cold.

So many had died during that incident—

Some lost their entire families,

Some their husbands,

Some their sons,

Others their friends, brothers…

Some lost everything.

But a few were lucky.

Some families had survived—completely unharmed.

Time passed…

Buildings were rebuilt.

People slowly returned to their daily lives.

But the danger hadn't passed.

That was just the beginning.

---

A New Threat Emerges

One year later—

Another dungeon opened.

As soon as the news broke,

Fear returned.

People began whispering again—

News channels were back to showing one thing:

"A new gate has opened."

Jon Silvert was watching the news too.

He frowned.

Jon thought:

What if monsters come out again?

Then it's all over.

But then another idea struck him:

If the monsters can come out of that thing…

What if we could go in?

What if… we could stop them before they ever reach us?

---

Location: Construction Site, Amlo Park – Unit 7D

Jon arrived near the dungeon gate.

But the area had been sealed off—

The military had set up full barricades.

Jon realized getting in wouldn't be easy.

Still, he began sneaking his way toward the gate.

Just as he moved closer,

A military officer spotted him and approached immediately.

The officer raised his hand and blocked Jon.

Jon thought quickly: I need a good excuse.

He said,

"I just want to look at it. That's all."

The officer refused.

Jon kept pleading.

An argument broke out between them.

The officer pointed his gun at Jon.

Jon shoved him and sprinted toward the gate.

The moment he touched it—he was pulled inside the dungeon.

---

Inside the Dungeon

Jon looked around and whispered,

Just as I thought… We can enter too. Now let's see what lies ahead.

He started moving forward.

"The air here… it's heavy," he muttered.

The dungeon looked like a dark cave, stretching endlessly ahead.

Then suddenly—

Two orcs appeared.

Jon froze for a moment.

Fear gripped him.

But then his mind filled with memories of his family…

Their laughter…

Their happiness…

All torn away by monsters.

Fueled by rage, he shouted:

"I will avenge my family from all of you monsters!"

Jon charged at the orcs.

They saw him and charged back.

Jon fought barehanded, struggling to keep up.

While dodging the orcs' heavy blows,

He remembered something—

The moment when he'd killed that goblin a year ago.

Back then…

A golden light had emerged from within him.

A sword had appeared in his hand.

He'd even slain a dragon with it.

Holding onto that memory,

Jon stepped back…

Closed his eyes…

And focused.

Suddenly—

A glowing sword appeared in his hand.

Power surged through him.

Strength like never before.

With a cry of fury,

He slashed through both orcs—

Killing them instantly.

But their roars…

Had drawn more monsters.

Jon took a deep breath.

Then, sword in hand—

He charged toward the incoming monsters.

Scene Shifts – Outside the Dungeon

The officer who tried to stop Jon from entering the dungeon immediately reported the incident to his senior in-charge.

A few minutes later, that senior officer arrived —

His name was Josuf Kout.

The officer saluted him and explained everything that had happened.

Josuf's eyes widened.

"What? That man actually went inside the gate?"

He paused, then calmed himself and muttered,

"He's probably already dead by now.

We've seen what came out of these gates before…

Not a single weapon had any effect on those monsters."

"How could he even think… that he could kill them?"

Then Josuf asked,

"When he entered… did he have any weapons with him? Anything at all?"

The officer replied,

"No sir. He was completely unarmed. Entered bare-handed."

Josuf went silent for a moment, deep in thought.

Then he gave a sharp order:

"Increase the security here. If there's even the slightest disturbance inside, inform me immediately."

Officer: "Yes, sir!"

Josuf turned and left.

---

Scene Shifts – Inside the Dungeon

Jon had defeated every monster in his path.

Eventually, he arrived in front of a massive door.

He muttered,

"A door…?

There might be more monsters behind it."

He was exhausted — completely drained —

But the experience had taught him a lot.

He whispered to himself,

"No matter what happens now, I won't stop.

Either they die… or I do."

With that, Jon slowly pushed the door open.

Inside, sitting calmly with eyes closed,

Was a massive red orc.

Jon had expected multiple enemies—

But it was just this one.

He felt confused, but without hesitation,

He stepped forward and launched an attack.

But just then,

The orc calmly opened its eyes…

And caught Jon's strike mid-air.

Jon staggered back, shocked.

None of the monsters I've fought till now could stop my attacks…

But this one blocked it effortlessly.

He stared at the orc, realizing:

"This one… is far stronger than the rest.

It must be the boss of them all."

The orc slowly stood up,

Unbothered, still calm.

Jon took a breath—

Then lunged forward without wasting a moment.

But the orc…

Blocked or dodged every attack,

Without even moving from its place.

Suddenly, the orc launched a counterattack—

A brutal punch to Jon's back.

Jon was sent flying—

Crashing into a wall.

Blood poured from his mouth.

He winced in pain, thinking,

"If this thing escapes outside… there'll be unimaginable destruction."

"No matter what—

I have to stop it right here."

The orc came at him again—

Jon barely avoided the next strike.

But the orc was incredibly fast—

In the blink of an eye,

It was behind Jon.

Another strike.

Jon managed to block it with his sword just in time.

Then the real fight began—

Blow after blow.

Steel clashed.

Momentum built.

Slowly…

Jon began to match the orc's pace.

The battle became intense.

Clashes rang like thunder.

Eventually, the orc started slowing down,

Feeling the pressure.

Jon knew it was his chance.

With every ounce of strength,

He screamed:

"NERWALA SLASH!!"

And in one clean strike—

The orc was split in two.

---

Dungeon Collapse

After defeating the orc,

Jon sat back against a stone and breathed heavily.

But suddenly—

The ground began to shake violently.

The dungeon was collapsing.

---

Outside the Dungeon

The military stationed nearby felt the vibrations.

One officer immediately informed Josuf Kout.

Josuf rushed to the scene.

"What's the situation?" he demanded.

An officer responded,

"Sir! We're sensing major tremors near the gate—

As if something is trying to break out!"

Josuf didn't hesitate:

"All units, on full alert!

The moment anything comes out of that gate…

Open fire immediately.

Not a single monster is allowed to escape!

If even one gets through… the destruction could be immense."

"Are you all ready?"

All the officers shouted:

"YES, SIR!!"

They pointed their rifles at the gate—

Every face tense with fear.

The same thought ran through every mind:

Can we really stop whatever's coming out?

Then—

A figure stepped out of the gate.

Every soldier's eyes widened.

Even Josuf stared in disbelief…

It wasn't a monster.

It was… Jon Silvert.
