Chapter 4 - Unexpected Event

When his mind was clear, he opened his eyes to face the dark space once again.

Ventair floated in the middle of the outerverse's pitch black space. The initial feeling when hearrived here was not very good, but now after a while of adapting, looking closely, this place was overwhelming, unimaginably vast, making people think of how small humans were.

Wanting to learn more about this place.

He approached one of the giant bubbles, reaching out to touch it.

But then his hand could not penetrate the outer shell, although the shell looked like a bubble, when touched, it was incredibly hard.

He frowned.

"Can't get in?"

He retreated a few meters and tried another trick, extending his left hand forward and making a strong slashing motion towards the shell.

'space cutting'

A sharp black blade flashed, stabbing straight towards the surface of the sphere.

But… nothing happened. Not a crack, not a ripple, not a sound. It was as if the bubbles had just calmly swallowed the attack.

Ventair was silent but not surprised. He sighed, retracting his hand.

"It's no wonder. After all, each bubble is an omniverse where normal limits don't work."

"Especially someone who is only a little stronger than a normal person like me

But then he discovered one thing: when using skills, he doesn't need to spend energy. At first, he didn't pay much attention to it because he thought he could use as much as he wanted in his own space.

But clearly, when he used it in this outside space earlier, it didn't cost any energy, and then he began to remember in detail why he had these abilities.

He suddenly woke up:

"So that's it, because these skills are brought about by the birth of his soul space, which is in his soul, or his own essence, so it will take the biological energy of his body."

"For example, when humans breathe and move, although we normally don't feel anything, those actions also require energy from our body."

"And now when I use those skills, it feels like I'm breathing, not to mention that now I don't need to breathe"

He also realized how terrifying that primal energy was to be able to do all these things for him.

Then he turned his back, spread his arms, and let his body float freely in the empty space.

Time did not exist here, but Ventair could clearly feel the boredom gradually seeping into every fiber of his mind. He closed his eyes, letting himself drift in space, thinking about things when he was still on Earth.

"Ahh… The angel models… drawings, comics… all the best memories… What a pity"

"And what would happen to them now without me?"

"Not to mention what happened to my body now, I hope it doesn't suddenly disappear or else it will create another mysterious case"

He chuckled, sadly.

"I once created a small world in that room... and now I'm at the end of everything... all alone."

It was as if he was drifting in this dark space with endless loneliness.

Not knowing how much time had passed, he closed his eyes and slept to dispel the boredom, when he opened his eyes it was still the same familiar space.

With this newly created body having extraordinary power, he would definitely have a fairly long lifespan, but if he continued like this he would go crazy or even commit suicide because of the endlessness.

He also intended to return to his space but he found it was no different from here, and there he was alone while here he hoped to find a creature or something friendly that he could communicate with.

The worst thing was to encounter bored higher beings, seeing a weak creature like him could exist here, they would show interest and do all sorts of strange things to him, especially with the impression of legends on Earth

He shook his head quickly to dispel that terrible thought, then tried to close his eyes and go back to sleep, hoping that when he opened them again, he would see something new.

Suddenly—

BOOM!!!

A thunderous explosion pierced the silent space, shaking his spine.

Ventair's eyes widened. He looked around to see if he had heard wrong.

But then his ears suddenly picked up chaotic sounds: screams, metal clashing, hateful roars.

Unbelievable, he asked himself: "Sound? How can there be sound in this outerverse...?"

He jumped, trying to drift towards the source of the sound. The closer he got, the more the space shook.

And then, when he reached the source of the sound, he opened his mouth, in disbelief, and said:

"Wha... What the hell is going on here!!??"

In front of his eyes now appeared a scene of madness,

A chaotic war between races, the scale and ferocity of it made him speechless.

Each race seemed to have an uncountable number – billions, even trillions of individuals rushing at each other in an endless frenzy.

The surrounding space was filled with black ants, expanding to the horizon of space. So many that he could not see the end.

In this war, he saw familiar races that he knew from occasionally watching comics and anime. They included:

Muscle-filled Goblins, each 5m tall, charged forward with wild howls, their battle axes swung high, splashing blood and flesh.

Beautiful and graceful Elves jumped through the streaks of light, shooting arrows like rain with mysterious spells glowing on their lips.

The mermaids created a water area that flooded the surrounding space, drifting and gliding in the magical water that was floating in the air, screaming ear-piercing ultrasonic sounds.

The giant dragons of various colors such as red, black, silver, gold, etc. – soared through the sky like winged nightmares, spitting out fire, bang, poisonous gas and many other elements.

The giants – hundreds of thousands of meters to millions of meters tall – took one step and crushed hundreds of small creatures under their feet, one punch could shatter the entire space, their eyes were cold as stone.

There was an army of death with all of lich, death knight, undead, vampire, etc. forming a giant black tidal wave, relying on their numbers and emotionlessness to push into the battlefield.

The beastmen pounced like wild beasts with all kinds of species from cats, wolves, birds to legendary species like chimeras, phoenixes,... They tore and tore with their sharp claws like knives and sharp teeth covered in blood.

There were even demons, with all kinds of different shapes and sizes, they roared, emitted red flames that distorted the space, and used wide-range destructive magic to destroy the entire battlefield.

Then there was a race that surprised him greatly when it appeared here. It was the humans.

They had many different classes like warriors with shiny silver armor, fighting hand-to-hand with slogans like ancient warriors.

The magicians standing behind continuously activated countless different magics, next to them were archers with each shot a rain of arrows flying at the enemy, on the battlefield there were people appearing and disappearing with black cloaks - assassins, they continuously used iron daggers to take away enemies,...

This was not all, there were many races in other corners of the battle that he could not find, did not know, or there were so many that he could not count them all.

Observing the battle, he felt that no one noticed his existence, it seemed that he was too weak and small that no one knew, no one cared.

Knowing that made him feel secure that even if someone noticed, he would surely die, even with this body.

The battle continued with explosions, collisions, slashes, and death cries:

"Zah'mor krai'th!"

"Talik ven'sha!"

"Ruu'da! Ruu'da!"

Screams in many different languages echoed across the battlefield.

Ventair frowned, trying to listen, but every word was strange, like a mad symphonic in the language of unknown dimensions.

"What are they saying...? I don't understand."

He continued to observe this attack. Although he sometimes felt nauseous from the brutality, he continued to watch, trying to get used to it.

Magic bombs were thrown like fireworks. Thin metal fell like rain. Blood stained the space like an unimportant substance.

A question arose in his mind:

'Who are they? Why are they fighting each other? And how can these beings exist in the outerverse—the highest plane where, theoretically, only primal energy can exist?'

With questions in his mind that no one could answer—not even the space in his soul.

But he continued to stare for a long time… and realized something he couldn't understand.

"There are no angels."

There were many races appearing here.

But angels ? Not a single pair of white wings. Although some birdmen had white wings, they weren't angels.

"Why…? Why do I see demons but no angels?" He wondered in a daze.

Ventair was still floating, his eyes staring blankly at the chaos, his mind swirling with unanswered questions.

But then—

"DRAH-EL'RAK!"

A deep shout rang out, clear and powerful like thunder, shaking the entire space.

In an instant, the races that were madly charging at each other suddenly stopped as if they were being suffocated.

Then the giant ranks of trillions of individuals of each race split apart like the sea.

Creating a huge gap in the middle.

No one dared to take another step.

Ventair asked suspiciously: 'What is going on? What is going on?'

In the gap that was cleared between the giant armies, from the void appeared giant figures, majestic and divine – each representing a race.

Their bodies glowed faintly, with an indescribable supernatural appearance, eyes burning with ancient knowledge, and wings, scales, horns, or auras corresponding to the species they ruled.

They did not need to give orders. Just standing there, their presence was a command. No one dared to approach.

A conversation took place as several of them began speaking to each other in a strange language, ringing like a broken bell in the dimension.

Ventair squinted, trying to listen, but just like before—he did not understand.

As the conversation continued, suddenly—two of them looked at each other with angry expressions, unable to hold back, they roared and charged at each other like two meteors facing each other. The first punch was thrown, colliding in mid-air.

BOOM!!!

A huge shockwave spread out like a Big Bang, pushing back the entire ranks of warriors around and even the surrounding omniverse bubbles.

Ventair was also blown away, spinning away by the enormous shockwave.

"What is this... just... a punch...?" He asked in horror

Before he could recover from his shock, several figures, as if unable to bear it, rushed at each other.

With each collision, space retreated, broke, and folded like paper. The sky was shattered by the blows, each with the power to distort reality.

The armies that had filled this space in such great numbers earlier had now retreated far away, leaving only space for these fighting people.

Ventair was unlucky enough to not be able to retreat as quickly as the other armies, now he was in the midst of a battle between terrifying existences.

Then suddenly—

While trying to escape this place as quickly as possible.

From somewhere in the battle, a red slash appeared immediately.

It wasn't just energy, but contained overlapping laws and concepts: time dilation, space ripping apart, cause and effect being reversed, ego warping. The slash was aimed straight at where Ventair was hovering.

He opened his eyes wide, unable to believe it.

"No… I can't avoid it… I can't do anything… this time… I'm going to die again…?"

When the slash was only a few meters away from him.

He quickly said in his mind:

'Go in!!!!'

Whoosh!

In that moment, Ventair's entire body was suddenly transported.

He wasn't cut, he wasn't crushed. He disappeared in an instant.

And the slash just passed through where Ventair had just disappeared and dissolved into nothingness.
