The next morning, the house slowly stirred to life.
After breakfast, my dad and sister got ready for work. They kept it casual, but I knew they were giving us space on purpose.
"Take care," my sister said, grabbing her keys. "Behave, both of you."
My dad gave Phu a small nod before stepping out the door."Take care of the house," he said, half-smiling.
And just like that, it was only the two of us.
The silence felt… nice. Comforting. Familiar.
I turned to Phu, excitement bubbling inside me."So, what do you wanna do today?"
Phu stretched his arms, looked around, and then grinned."I want to see your room."
I blinked. "My room? Why?"
He leaned closer and said with a playful smirk,"Well, yesterday was kind of serious, so I ended up in the guest room. But today? Today is different."
I laughed and nudged his shoulder."So now you're claiming my space too?"
"I mean… if I'm dating you, I should know where you used to cry over failed exams and hide your snacks, right?"
I rolled my eyes and waved for him to follow."Fine, come on. But don't judge me if you find childhood teddy bears."
"No promises," he said, chuckling as we walked down the hallway.
I opened the door and let him in—my world, my memories, my mess.
And somehow, it felt like the perfect beginning to a quieter kind of day.
Just us.
Phu stepped into my room and immediately started looking around—slowly, like he didn't want to miss anything.
"So this is where little Ian grew up, huh?" he said, brushing his fingers over the bookshelf filled with old novels, photo frames, and a few random souvenirs.
I stood by the door, watching him with a mix of nervousness and nostalgia."Yeah... not much has changed, actually."
He picked up a small framed photo on my desk—me at age seven, front teeth missing, grinning wide next to my mom.
"You look so happy," Phu said softly.
I walked over and sat on the edge of the bed."I was. That was the year we went to the mountains together. Mae made us stop at every viewpoint for pictures."
Phu sat beside me, still holding the frame."You miss her a lot, huh?"
I nodded."Every day. But this room… it holds her somehow. You know? I used to talk to her photo whenever things got too hard."
Phu placed the frame down carefully, then took my hand."She'd be proud of you, Ian. I'm proud of you. For being brave—with your dad, with us."
His words struck deep, and I looked at him, eyes warming.
"Sometimes I feel like I'm still that scared kid," I admitted. "Still figuring things out."
Phu pulled me closer until our shoulders touched."That's okay. I'm still figuring things out too. We're doing it together, aren't we?"
I nodded, smiling through the heaviness in my chest.
Then he noticed something sticking out from under my pillow."What's this?"
I quickly grabbed it."Oh god, no—that's my old diary. You're not allowed to read that!"
Phu laughed.*"Why not? I bet there's a love poem to some classmate in there. Or maybe a dramatic entry like 'Dear Diary, I think I'm in love with someone I shouldn't be.'"
I hit him with the pillow."I swear, Phuwadon, I will kick you out of this room!"
We both laughed—freely, the kind of laughter that lightened everything.
And for that one perfect moment, my room wasn't just my space anymore.
It was ours.
Phu was flipping through my old diary, completely amused by my childhood thoughts until he suddenly paused.
"Who's… Nattawat?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he turned the page toward me.
I blinked, then leaned over to look."Oh—Nattawat? Just a guy from middle school. We used to be close. Now we're more of a hi-bye kind of thing."
Phu looked back at the page."You liked him? Like… liked him liked him?"
I laughed awkwardly."Wait—what? Oh my god, Phu, that was years ago! I was a kid. He looked cute, and I might've written about it. You know how kids are with diaries—everything feels dramatic and serious."
Phu shut the diary slowly and laid back on the bed with a small huff.Oh no. I knew that face.
I sat beside him and tilted my head."What's wrong now?"
"Nothing."
"Phuwadon…"
He crossed his arms and turned slightly away, still pouting."I'm just surprised, that's all. Didn't know I had childhood competition."
I chuckled and poked his cheek."You jealous of my middle school crush?"
He mumbled, "A little."
I smiled, leaned down, and kissed his forehead."Well, lucky for you, I grew up—and now I only have eyes for one pouty boyfriend lying on my bed."
That made him smile. He grabbed my arm and pulled me down beside him."You better. Or I'll go digging for every name in that diary."
"If you do, I'm setting it on fire."
We both laughed, tangled up in pillows and old memories.
I was looking at Phu, Phu was touching my hair, face, cheek, and lips - I was playing with his t-shirt - he sighed.
I asked, "What is it? "Nah, your lip is asking something," he said. I asked, "What is, Phu?"
His finger lingered around my neck and shoulder to my waist, which he pulled near to his face, and kissed me on my jawline. I felt ticklish.
I said, "Phu, we should go out." He said, "Yes, I know - but we still have time," he added. I laughed and said, "So what do you wanna do now?" "Well, I'm planning to eat you," he said. He kissed me on the lip, he kept sucking harder until I felt breathless.
A shiver ran down my spine. "Phu," I managed to gasp, trying to regain control of my breathing. He pulled back slightly, his eyes dark and intense. "Hmm?" he murmured, his breath warm against my cheek. He nibbled on my earlobe, sending another wave of goosebumps across my skin.
"Phu, stop," I said, but the words lacked conviction. My hands, which had been idly playing with his t-shirt, now gripped it tightly. I knew I should probably be pushing him away, reminding him of our plans to go out, but my body seemed to have a different agenda.
He chuckled softly, a low rumble in his chest that vibrated against me. "Stop? But I'm just getting started," he whispered.
He moved to my neck, pressing soft kisses against my skin, each one leaving a trail of fire in its wake. He found the sensitive spot just below my ear, and I arched into him involuntarily.
"Phu..." I moaned, my head falling back against the pillows. My resolve was crumbling fast. He lifted his head, his eyes searching mine, a question in their depths. I knew what he was asking. A part of me screamed that we shouldn't, that we'd be late, that we had plans. But another part, a much stronger part, only wanted to feel his touch, to lose myself in the moment.
I closed my eyes for a moment, battling with myself. When I opened them, I met his gaze, and the answer was clear. A small, almost imperceptible nod was my only reply. The corners of his lips tilted up in a slow, knowing smile. He needed no further invitation.
Phu chuckled softly, a low rumble against my skin. "Sorry, couldn't resist," he whispered, his breath hot against my neck. "You taste so good." He resumed kissing, but this time, his lips were softer, more deliberate. He traced the sensitive skin around my areola, teasing without quite touching. I arched into him, my hands gripping his shoulders.
"Phu..." I managed to gasp out, the anticipation building within me. "Please..."
He finally relented, his lips closing over my nipple, sucking gently at first, then with increasing intensity. A sharp, electric current shot through me, and I cried out, my fingers digging into his back. He alternated between sucking and nipping, driving me wild with pleasure.
"Tell me what you want," he murmured, his voice thick with desire.
The question caught me off guard, momentarily breaking the spell. What did I want? I wanted...everything. I wanted to lose myself in him, to forget about the nervous anticipation of being in my parents' house, to simply be present in this moment.
"I...I want you," I finally stammered, the words tumbling out in a rush. "I want you so much."
He pulled back slightly, his eyes locking with mine. They were dark and intense, filled with a passion that mirrored my own. "Then you shall have me," he said, his voice husky. He lowered his head and resumed his assault on my senses, and I surrendered completely to the moment, letting his touch guide me toward the edge.
As soon as Phu thrust in, filling me completely, my breath caught in my throat. His movements grew faster, more desperate, and I could feel the tension coil tightly inside me. My moans spilled freely now, raw and unfiltered, as I wrapped my legs around his waist, urging him deeper. The way his thick length stretched and filled me was overwhelming — pleasure rippled through every inch of me, until a primal cry tore from my lips, uncontrollable and wild.
"Phu, yes, harder, please!" I begged, my nails digging into his back as I urged him on. His eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the desire and passion burning within them. He was completely focused on me, on giving me the pleasure I so desperately craved.
With each thrust, Phu's hips slapped against mine, and the sound of our bodies coming together echoed throughout the room. I felt the familiar tingling sensation building up inside me, and I knew I was close to the edge.
"Phu, I'm going to come," I gasped, my breath coming in short, ragged bursts. He responded by increasing his tempo, pounding into me with a renewed sense of urgency. My body trembled beneath him, and I felt the waves of pleasure washing over me like a tidal wave.
As I climaxed, I cried out Phu's name, my voice hoarse from the intensity of my orgasm. He didn't stop, continuing to thrust into me as I rode out the waves of pleasure. I could feel his release building, and I knew he was close.
With a final, powerful thrust, Phu buried himself deep inside me, and I felt the warmth of his release as he came. We both collapsed on top of the bed, both of us panting and spent from our passionate encounter.
As our breathing slowed, Phu rolled off of me, pulling me close and wrapping his arms around me. I nestled into his embrace, feeling safe and content in his arms. We lay there for a while, basking in the afterglow of our lovemaking, both of us knowing that this was something special, something we would never forget.
"I love you, Phu," I whispered.
"I love you too, baby," he replied, "Forever and always".
And as we drifted off to sleep, entwined in each other's arms, I knew that I had found something truly extraordinary - a love that would last a lifetime.
