Shinji's POV:
(The 4th day of Walpurgisnacht.)
Me and Aiko had just finished our matches and were walking out of the arena towards our rooms, when suddenly a group of four guys dressed in a similar uniform to Blackbeard's showed up. They started beating us up, until out of nowhere Kenji appeared to save us.
He pushed one of the guys pinning me down before slugging the guy who was whaling on me just a moment ago. I managed to wriggle out of the other guy's grasp as I threw a punch of my own. And so, the group brawl began.
I had just started punching in the teeth of my opponent while Kenji and Aiko were taking care of the other three. Kenji was currently in the middle of breaking the leader's nose, when suddenly.
*BOOM*
A sudden shockwave hit us as we went flying. My ears were ringing as I got up to look at what happened. At the far end of the hallway, I could see Blackbeard glaring at us. It was likely he was responsible for the shockwave. As he began moving towards us, I started looking for Aiko and Kenji to make a run for it, but there was a much bigger problem than Blackbeard. Aiko was lying dazed and confused as blood trickled down her head from hitting a wall, but Kenji.
"Kenji… KEENJIIII!!!" I could barely hear myself screaming through the ringing in my ears.
Before me was Kenji, lying face down in a pool of his own blood. I could see parts of his guts and intestines poking out from beneath him. I was hyperventilating while screaming his name to no response. As the ringing in my ears finally stopped, I could hear a voice from behind me.
"You should have just stayed where you belonged! Trash!"
I felt a surge of anger the likes of which I have never before felt, as I turned around to sucker punch that bearded bastard in a blind rage when…
*Bang*
The professor stopped me.
"GET OUT OF THE WAY! I'LL KILL HIM!" I screamed with tears running from my eyes.
"Not really helping your case brat! Now quiet down!"
"SHUT UP!!!" I screamed as I threw another punch. This time at the mad professor.
*Bang*
Normally, whenever we lost it and tried to hit the mad professor, he would just dodge it, and then beat us black and blue, but this time my sloppy fist actually landed. I could feel his weirdly moist face on my fist. I could make out his glowing blue eye looking down at me while my fist was pushing up against his cheek.
*Smack*
Just then, he slapped me for the first time. He has punched, kicked, pushed, chopped and stomped us before, but this is the first time he had ever slapped one of us in the face. It had been so long since I had been slapped, the foreign stinging sensation in my cheek momentarily snapped me out of my frenzy.
"Should you be wasting time on that black bearded douche? Or are you really going to let your friend die on the floor while you go get yourself killed?"
"What?!"
He pulled out a trolly from a spatial distortion and somehow lifted Kenji into it without letting any more of his guts spill out.
"YOU TRASH AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE!"
*BOOM*
Just then Blackbeard just finished casting his spell as we were arguing. It was his 5th tier spell from before 'Gale Burst'. But just as the spell was about to hit us, the professor simply grabbed the projectile out of the air with one hand while using the other to somehow hold back the shockwave, as he pushed them back towards Blackbeard, sending him flying down the hall.
"GO! NOW!"
"But what about Ai-!"
"SHE'LL BE FINE! NOW GO!"
And with that I ran with Kenji down the hall. The last thing I saw of them that day was when Blackbeard tried to stop me from passing him by on my way to the infirmary, only to be intercepted by the mad professor who grabbed him by the beard before he ripped it clean off his face.
