Upon arriving home, Claudia threw herself onto the sofa and leaned back as she felt tired.
Her head turned around the room, as it had been a long time since she had seen the house she was currently living in.
"Just to help Yohan and his company, I foolishly sold this house and gave all the money to him," she muttered.
The house that her parents had left her two years ago when she was 19 years old. She was now 21 and sometimes still felt lonely without her parents.
She then picked up the family photo on the coffee table right in front of her. Seeing both her parents in the photo with her as the only child.
"In those days I probably disappointed you both a lot for selling this house. But now I will not fall into the same hole and will repay all the things he has done to me," Claudia said as she rubbed the photo of her father and mother.
She then turned to the small bag containing the lunchbox she had been carrying. The box was now empty as Davion had eaten the food she had cooked.
Flashback
Finished with the meal there, Davion thanked Claudia for taking the time to make the meal for Yohan.
"Next time if you make it again for him again, I'm sure he will be very happy to enjoy it. Your cooking is really good," he said praising Claudia's cooking.
Hearing the compliment, Claudia felt happy and her heart was beating fast. Even Yohan himself rarely complimented her on anything she did.
He would just say that she did a good job, and forget about it by changing the subject.
'I was so in love with Yohan back then, that I didn't really care whether he appreciated what I did for him or not,' the woman thought.
She then noticed Davion who had his mouth wiped with his handkerchief and smiled slightly as she felt grateful to Claudia.
"But if next time you get a chance to try my cooking again, would you like it?" she asked.
The middle-aged man was silent for a moment, then nodded his head. Saying that he would feel very lucky if he could try Claudia's cooking again.
"I guess I'm fine with that, but I don't want to inconvenience you if you have to cook for me too," Davion replied.
Hearing that answer, she immediately smiled and replied that she had no problem cooking lunch for him.
"I know that you rarely go out for lunch because you are focused on your work. So from today on, I will bring you lunch! How about it?"
Davion was a bit surprised when he heard that. He rarely went to lunch because he was so focused on his work, but he didn't know that Claudia realized that.
At first he had refused because he didn't want to trouble her, but Claudia said that she was fine and would come again tomorrow to bring lunch for him.
"See you tomorrow, Mr. Davion!"
Flashback End
She smiled as she recalled the incident an hour ago in Davion's office.
Claudia realized that Davion was a very loyal and private man. She had heard from Yohan about what happened in his family, where his mother left them when Yohan was 10 years old.
"That woman left her family for another man, and now her son is doing the same for another woman. Mother and son have similar traits," she said as she shook her head and sighed softly.
From then on, Davion never once went on a date with any woman until now. Claudia felt that the incident left a wound for Davion and now he closed his heart to anyone.
"But that won't last long, I will win his heart and make myself the new Mrs. Davidson."

The next morning, Claudia woke up to her cell phone ringing. Someone had just called her, forcing her to open her eyes and see that it was Yohan who was calling this time.
"It was that jerk who called, disturbing my sleep!" she said in a voice that was both spoiled and annoyed.
Perhaps Claudia was happy when she finally heard from Yohan, after he had ignored her for a whole day.
But not anymore. She was pretty sure that Yohan was currently with Stephanie, so she didn't want to ruin her morning listening to his obvious excuses.
"Hello?" she said lazily as she picked up the phone.
"Hello, Claudia baby. I heard you waiting for me at my father's company yesterday morning. I'm sorry, but I had other business because my father sent me to do some of his work that he didn't have time to do himself," Yohan said with a thousand excuses.
Claudia knew that Davion himself didn't even know where Yohan had gone. Now he was arguing that it was his father who sent him away to take care of a business.
'What a damn liar,' Claudia thought with a yawn.
"Uhh... Yes, it's fine. I'm fine with it," the woman replied in an unconcerned tone.
"Are you sure? I didn't mean to upset you, Claudia. Even if I could refuse my father's order, I would much rather go with you and spend time with the woman I love so much," Yohan said again in a soft tone as if he was appealing to Claudia's sympathies.
'The seduction of a crocodile man.' She shook her head. Unfortunately Claudia already knew Yohan's true nature, so she was not carried away by his sweet words.
"No problem, is that all you want to say?" she ask again.
For a moment, Yohan was silent because he was confused. Why did Claudia respond to him so flatly and like she didn't care about anything he said.
Whereas usually Claudia would plead back and soften to him because of his sweet words.
"Yes, that's all I wanted to say. How about we go to the cafe today instead? I'll go pick you up for lunch with-"
Before Yohan could finish speaking, Claudia immediately interrupting his words not to come.
"No need, I'm busy today so I can't go with you. If you don't have anything to say, I'll hang up."
Without waiting for an answer from him, Claudia immediately hung up the phone and put her cell phone back on the table.
She glanced at her wall clock, it was 8:00 am and she was thinking of going shopping and then cooking for Davion.
Before that, she checks her computer and sees if there are any new clients who need her services.
Claudia is a freelancer who writes news and information that her clients need in a blog or social media.
"Back then I worked hard to write a lot of things to earn money and give it to Yohan. But now I'm going to save it all to bring him down," she muttered.
Now she began to think of all the plans to bring Yohan down even though she was trying to win Davion's heart.
She would show Davion how his son did not fear gratitude and instead tried to get the man into big trouble. Even to the point of bankruptcy and the huge debt he had to bear because of Yohan's actions.
"Don't worry, Mr. Davion. This time I will definitely save you from him too."
