Chapter 48 - When Gods Collide

We faced each other at the heart of the shattered Fourth Sky, surrounded by chaos, suspended between two broken moons.

Lightning, born from torn timelines, cracked the heavens around us.

My system flared. My mana surged. The air itself trembled as our auras collided—one forged by purpose, the other by entropy.

"You look like me," I said.

"But you're hollow."

He grinned—no warmth, no soul.

"Because I remember what we lost. You fight for people who will forget you. I became something they could never ignore."

He moved first. Time shattered around him as he accelerated beyond light, slicing forward with a blade made from erased realities.

I blocked with Axiom, my sword—crafted from condensed will, bonded to my soul.

It screamed against his weapon—metal grinding on non-existence.

I twisted mid-air and activated my stat booster:

AGILITY +100 (Temporary Surge)

Dodging his next strike, I plunged Axiom forward—but it phased through him.

He reappeared behind me, whispering into the particles around my neck.

"You're still bound by hope."

"And you," I growled, turning mid-spin, "are bound by fear."

CROWN DUEL: UNLOCKED

The world froze.

Everything—stars, mana, echoes of war—was sucked into a crown of light and shadow that formed between us.

A voice, older than any realm, echoed across the skies.

"Let the Crownless become the Crowned. Let the fractured gods collide."

And then it began.

He hurled a singularity—I devoured it with a spell designed from quantum gravity threads and high-elf runes.

I sent out mana spikes—he blinked through dimensions and shattered one to deflect them.

We fought in physics, in sorcery, in raw will.

My system, my soul, my self screamed to keep up.

"You cannot win," he snarled. "This world is just a seed. I've burned forests."

I roared back:

"Then I'll be the wildfire that unburns it."

We clashed, again and again, until the skies could take no more.

Below us, ten realms chanted in unison, our people united.

"INFINITE PRINCE! INFINITE PRINCE!"

Hope surged.

And then—my blade struck true.

Right through the mirrored gem in his chest.

[CRITICAL STRIKE – TEMPORAL CORE DAMAGED]

He staggered, gripping the wound.

"You… kept your humanity," he whispered, eyes dimming. "That's why you won."

I caught him as he fell.

"You're still me," I said quietly. "Even gods deserve redemption."

And then—he vanished.

A ripple passed through the world. Reality sighed in relief.

I stood in the silent sky.

Above me, the stars seemed closer.

Below, my people cheered. My sister smiled from the control tower. Kaeli wept openly. Alis raised her blade in triumph.

And the Entropy Child simply whispered:

"Now… the real war begins."
