The cold winter night is present on the city of XXXX and I'm currently on my way to the apartment after picking some books from the city library.
I'm Ren, a 17 years old lad living a normal life. I live alone not because my parents are gone but rather I prefer to have a quiet life (play games all day). I somehow rank pretty high on my class so my parents have no issues on me trying to live all by myself. I remained quiet and wonder why a cliché where the princess is supposed to greet the so called heroes never came, where they were going to ask for help to go defeat a demon king or something

The old guy said, I suddenly remembered the moment when my vision darkened and then found myself here.
"Bring out the Soul Appraiser" said the priest on one of the people that are present in the room.
(Now that I think about it, when will I wake up from this dream?) I asked myself as someone walked in front of me holding a glowing orb on his hands.
"What is this?" I asked the Preist.
"It's the Soul Appraiser, a treasure gifted one of the Gods that rule this world. That treasure is used to see a person's status, you just need to place your hand the orb's surface."
( Another cliché Isekai event huh, let me guess I either become a overpowered character or the one that has trash stats but is secretly overpowered)
I excitedly placed my hand on the orb's surface and it suddenly emitted a strong blinding light. I can see the shocked faces of the people that are present but then something happened. My excitement is suddenly replaced with pain as if my body is being stabbed with a hundred knives, almost making me pass out from pain.
It was at that moment that I realized that everything that occurred is not a dream.
(More than that, what is wrong with me? Why I am not surprised?)
I decided to focus on what is going to happen from now on that I realized that everything happening is now real.
"What happened?" yeah that's the only question that surfaced in my mind.
"That's the side effect of your soul being appraised, but that's not important anymore because the result already came out."

I nodded to the priest and followed the one that brought the Soul Appraiser earlier. We exited the room and walked through the hall of what seems like a castle, I can see several people wearing knight armor patrolling the hallways. After walking for a few minutes, having several turns, and different hallways, we managed to arrived in front off two massive iron doors.
"We have arrived, Hero."
The person accompanying me signaled the guards to open the massive doors. After opening the doors several stares went into my direction.
"Hoh? there's a fifth Hero?" Said a girl playing what seems to be fire ball on her hand.
"Tch, I'm so bored of waiting." It's now a delinquent looking dude.
"Nice to meet you!" A boy said in a friendly manner.
And lastly a girl is sitting quietly without paying attention on what is happening around her.
(...I want to go back already..) I wished internally hoping a random genie will hear my wish.
