Takumi's dinner came directly from the old man, who packed up some of his own and sent it over.
He then sat down to enjoy dinner with Lilia and Ophis, all while watching the meteor shower outside.
As Takumi listened to Lilia talk, she explained what had been happening at home recently.
With her words flowing and the meteor shower overhead, Takumi leisurely enjoyed his food—it was all very comforting.
Later that night, Miori Shiba, You, and the Holy Maiden arrived at Takumi's place.
"Lord Takumi!"
The Holy Maiden and Tendo Kisara greeted Takumi politely as soon as they saw him.
"You guys came too? Eaten yet? Want some food? The old man should still have some left. If not, I'll ask him to order a few more dishes."
Seeing everyone show up, Takumi invited them warmly with a smile.
Miori Shiba rolled her eyes at that.
"Zhongli didn't even pay with Mora. Stop dragging others into your scams!"
She couldn't help but complain. After all, Zhongli always had the bill sent to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
Naturally, when Takumi had Zhongli buy the food, he hadn't paid either. Zhongli didn't mind; he simply sent the bill to the parlor like usual.
It was just one meal. No big deal. But from Miori Shiba's perspective, Takumi was totally scamming people.
"How is that a scam? It was Hu Tao who treated me to the meal!"
If Hu Tao paid for it, then of course it counts as her treating him.
Miori Shiba rolled her eyes again. Hu Tao didn't even know him.
Still, she took a seat, and the others followed.
Everyone began chatting casually.
The Holy Maiden was about to brief Takumi on the city's situation—he was, after all, the true master of this world.
But as she began, Takumi quickly stopped her.
"Stop! You guys handle that yourselves. I'm not getting involved. Do whatever you think is best."
"Just make sure to digest everything I brought back and use it to develop civilization."
Takumi had no interest in micromanaging. The framework was already in place. Filling in the details was their job now.
Hearing that, the Holy Maiden looked helpless.
Miori Shiba started complaining.
"Easy for you to say. We're short on researchers, and much of this tech is totally unfamiliar. Digesting it isn't easy."
"Why don't you go to another world and bring back some scientists?"
Even though he brought Velier back, most of them were focused on magic. They weren't ideal for scientific R&D.
More scientists would make it easier to understand and implement Takumi's tech.
Right now, they were nurturing smart children for future development, but that would take time—unless Takumi force-fed them knowledge.
But even then, manufacturing, testing, and production were all complicated.
Civilization wasn't just about science. Many other aspects needed development too.
"Of course I know that," Takumi replied. "As for scientists... I'll go find Mei."
At that, Takumi grinned.
Seeing his face, Miori Shiba raised a brow.
"You plan to poach people from Mei's world?"
She instantly understood what he was thinking.
"Exactly! I'm not coming back empty-handed. Gotta earn Mei's points and get some people."
"Emm..." Miori Shiba was speechless.
"Next time, I'm going with you," she said. Things in their world had settled down enough for her to delegate.
At this moment, You also spoke—not to follow Takumi, but to offer a suggestion.
"Why not bring back the Elysian Realm?"
A flash of emotion passed her eyes.
In truth, she meant the previous era's Elysian Realm. If they needed top-tier scientists, that place had them.
Mobius, Vil-V—both were extraordinary. If they could get Mobius, even better.
Hearing that, Takumi considered it.
"If there's a chance, sure. Actually, Honkai: Star Rail would be even better."
There were plenty of top scientists across various worlds. If he went to Star Rail, he could just pack up the Herta Space Station.
Of course, that was just a fantasy. Still, heading to the Trailblazer's world might yield a good batch of scientists.
"As long as you have a plan. A lot of people have immigrated here, but there's still much to do. Civilization isn't simple."
Miori Shiba shook her head.
The stronger their civilization, the stronger Takumi became. Helping civilization meant helping themselves.
Since coming to Takumi's world, her psychic powers had reached level 3, and she hadn't even used her enhancement slots yet—saving them for when she became even stronger, as Takumi advised.
"Speaking of which, that Boros guy in the group chat has some good tech. Why not ask him?"
Miori Shiba remembered something and looked at Takumi.
According to One Punch Man, that world had aliens. Their tech should be quite advanced.
"Nah, forget it. I've already got star-destroying warships. I don't need more."
"Wait, did he go to Earth?"
Miori Shiba's mention of Boros sparked Takumi's curiosity.
He began considering the possibilities in the One Punch Man world. There were definitely scientists there. Could he bring some back?
What Takumi truly desired, though, was a certain pink-haired alien princess—or someone like Bulma, a top-tier scientist.
If he could really get someone like that, it would be amazing.
There were so many things in this world waiting for Takumi to develop.
During his recent trip to the moon, he pondered a key question: with such a vast universe, could there be other races out there?
Could the Earth's spiritual awakening have been triggered by an alien influence? A prelude to an invasion?
Whatever the truth, there were still many mysteries in this world for Takumi to uncover.
And one way or another, he intended to find out.
