Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: The Path of Flesh and Pain, The Lament of Mechanical Ascension

At that moment, Great Red was completely baffled.

What the hell was going on?

He had just arrived and was immediately slapped in the face?

The violent spatial shock made his expression change drastically. He frantically tried to resist with his own power. However, in the face of absolute strength, Great Red couldn't do a thing.

Takumi's control over space was simply unmatched. With the authority of the Herrscher of the Void, unless his opponent was equally skilled with space or far stronger, no one could be his equal.

Boom!!

The terrifying spatial tremors echoed throughout the dimensional gap. Such fluctuations immediately drew the attention of many gods. In an instant, many divine eyes turned toward the commotion. The stronger gods could clearly see what was happening over there.

Especially in the underworld. Sirzechs and the other Demon Kings stood there, dumbfounded, watching as Takumi mercilessly beat up Great Red in the void.

Yes, it was a one-sided beating. Both Takumi and Ophis joined in. Under Takumi's control, Great Red couldn't fight back at all. In the end, Takumi was the only one landing blows.

Witnessing this, Ophis could no longer hold back either, and directly transformed into a pitch-black dragon, joining the assault.

"Damn it!! Who are you!?"

At this point, Great Red was furious and humiliated. He had never suffered like this before.

"Who I am doesn't matter. What's important is that today, I'm here to help Ophis give you the beating you deserve! For driving Ophis away. For making her wander and be deceived."

After locking Great Red in place with a spatial seal, Takumi relentlessly pounded him. Ophis tore at Great Red's wings with claws and fangs, venting all her pent-up anger.

This continued for nearly half an hour before Takumi finally stopped. Great Red was left battered, scales missing from his body—mostly because Takumi had collected them. After all, Great Red's scales were precious. Studying and replicating them to forge sacred artifacts would be more than worthwhile.

Once Ophis had vented all her anger, Takumi finally released Great Red.

Freed, Great Red hurriedly distanced himself from Takumi and Ophis, glaring furiously at both, though his gaze lingered mostly on Takumi.

"You're not from this world! Who are you, really!?"

Great Red's expression was grim. The man before him was simply terrifying—he had been utterly powerless in his presence. That strength, that malice—if Takumi ever unleashed his power upon this world, it would be an utter catastrophe.

When had someone like this entered their world—and how did he not know?

"That's none of your business! Hmph!"

Before Takumi could answer, Ophis cut in, clearly annoyed.

Hearing Ophis, Great Red frowned, shooting her a sharp look. Was she the one who brought this enemy?

"Feeling better? Want to go another round?"

Takumi didn't answer Great Red, but instead smiled at Ophis.

At those words, Great Red nearly lost it. They wanted to beat him again? What the hell!

For a moment, he had the urge to run.

"No, that's enough."

Ophis shook her head and stared intently at Great Red. The two dragons locked eyes for a moment. Finally, Ophis spoke again.

"I'm leaving this world. From now on, it's yours."

She turned to Takumi. With her anger spent, she was ready to go and had no intention of staying to chat with Great Red.

Hearing this, Great Red was stunned. Before he could reply, Takumi ushered Ophis into his imaginary space. In the end, only Takumi and Great Red remained.

Great Red glared at Takumi, then said in a low voice,

"Who are you really? What is your purpose here?"

Takumi shrugged.

"I'm just a passerby. Now, I'm leaving. Of course, I've made a few deals with people in your world. I'm here to resolve the issue on the exe side. You should be grateful. Well then, Great Red, protect this world well."

Takumi didn't explain any further. With that, he vanished on the spot. He really had no particular interest in Great Red.

Watching Takumi disappear, Great Red frowned deeply. That guy… And Ophis had left with him? Great Red glanced toward the inner world of DxD, then looked up at Heaven.

"Has the God of the Bible been revived?"

Sensing that presence, Great Red pondered for a moment, then turned into a streak of red light and flew into the world. Usually, he patrolled the outer edges and cared little for internal affairs, but when he sensed Ophis in the dimensional gap, he had come back—only to be beaten up.

Since when had Ophis started associating with such a terrifying being from another world?

In any case, Great Red knew he had to find out. Having such a dangerous existence arrive in their world was nothing short of disastrous.

First things first: figure out what's going on.

But the dull ache from his body made him more than a little annoyed. He'd never suffered such a loss before, and Ophis had bitten him all over! He knew Ophis held a grudge, but not that it was so deep. He was thoroughly exasperated—why must dragons turn on each other?

...

Takumi, on the other hand, had no idea what Great Red was up to afterward. He was now heading for the exe world. After finding the spatial node leading there, he crossed over.

Upon arriving in the exe world, Takumi concealed himself completely. He didn't immediately move to sever the link between worlds; instead, he began quietly hacking into this world's networks.

The planet where the exe world resided was nothing but a fully industrialized city. There were no buildings as such, just massive factories—entirely dedicated to soldier production. No doubt, this was a civilization of machines.

From the information in Dulumado and Lugatim's databases, Takumi learned: this civilization had forsaken flesh, transcending into machines.

A path of fleshly torment and mechanical ascension—

That was the road they had chosen.
