A thousand years ago, the world of Kyro was ordinary.
No Qi. No beasts with cores. No cultivation.
But that changed when the Calamity Rift opened a tear in space that bled spirit energy into the world. With it came the Beasts of Origin, monstrosities that held glowing crystals deep in their bodies Cores. Humanity was nearly wiped out… until one man killed a beast with his bare hands and touched its core.
He became the first cultivator.
From him, the Path of Ascension was born.
The Cultivation Realms
In Kyro, cultivation is more than power it's survival. Every realm ascended unlocks a new level of understanding, a deeper bond with spirit energy, and access to abilities that defy mortal limits.
The known realms are:
1. Sprouting Root Realm
• The foundation of all cultivation.
• Absorbs ambient spirit energy into a personal core.
• Most never pass this stage.
2. Qi Refinement Realm
• Cultivators begin refining Qi within their meridians.
• Techniques like body strengthening, elemental control, and basic spellwork begin here.
• Common among minor sect disciples.
3. Foundation Realm
• Meridians are solidified into spiritual circuits.
• Cultivators can exert force beyond normal limits.
• Known to crush boulders and run faster than beasts.
4. Core Formation Realm
• A golden core forms in the dantian.
• True inner power is born.
• Cultivators in this realm are considered regional powers feared and respected.
5. Nascent Soul Realm
• The soul separates from the body and gains will.
• Cultivators here can fly unaided, shatter hills with a thought.
• Only top sect leaders and ancient clans reach this level.
6. Soul Flame Realm
• The soul ignites into a Flame of Will.
• Every word and thought carries power.
• These cultivators can kill without touching.
7. Void Ascendant Realm
• Cultivators become partially immune to time and space.
• Travel between worlds becomes possible.
• Legendary and almost unheard of.
8. Celestial Realm
• The world begins to recognize them.
• They can become one with natural laws.
• These cultivators can decide the life or death of cities with a gesture.
9. Primordial Godseed Realm
• Myths say cultivators here rival the ancient beings that came from the Rift.
• The essence of divinity blooms.
• Only one known cultivator in history ever touched this stage his name lost to time.
World Power Structure
Kyro is divided into three tiers:
• Mortal Kingdoms: Rule over commoners and Qi Refinement cultivators. They are tools of stronger sects.
• Sects and Clans: Powerhouses built around cultivation. Each has elders in the Core Formation Realm or higher.
• The Celestial Order: Mysterious beings above all. They determine when a planet is "ready" to ascend and select one being to represent it.
To ascend, a planet must reach the Third Rank measured by the number and strength of high-realm cultivators.
Only then will the Voice of the World announce its candidate.
The Cultivation Methods
There are three types:
• Direct Absorption
Basic, ancient, and inefficient. Drawing Qi from the air to feed the body. Only used by the poor or unaffiliated.
• Core Energy Extraction
Involves killing beasts with energy rich cores and refining their essence. Common among sect cultivators.
• Pill and Liquid Cultivation
The most advanced. Spirit alchemists refine energy into pills or liquids to absorb. These are highly sought after and cost fortunes.
Only those with high spirit root compatibility can truly benefit from pills.
Affinities and Physiques
Cultivators are born with affinities:
• Basic: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Metal, Wood
• Advanced: Lightning, Light, Darkness
• Special: Time, Space, Life, Death
• Unique: Primordial – only one in countless generations.
Each cultivator is also born with a physique a body type that may react uniquely to spirit energy.
Some rare physiques include:
• Heavenly Flame Physique – Doubles the power of fire techniques.
• Thousand Roots Body – Cultivates with plants and trees.
• Void-Born Flesh – Can phase through space briefly.
And above all of them… is the Godseed Physique.
It is unknown. Unrecorded. And feared.
It allows its user to draw strength not from pills, not from beasts, not from heaven itself…but from their descendants.
