Chapter 5 - Should I enjoy work?

-Ogden.

It's just a night thingy. I should get over it. I tell myself as I walked into my house.

" Dennis, where are you coming from? I've been calling you for quite some time now and you've not been responding." Nana says as she stormed towards me, her hands on her hips, her face contorted in a frown.

" I had work Granny. You know I'll never ignore your call purposely." I pout, shoving my hands deep into my pockets. She stands in front of me, the anger she once had swims away at my words.

" At the very least you could have called."

 " I'm sorry nana."

" I was really worried. This is why you need to get a wife so I'll transfer my worries to her." she says and spins around, her hands folded behind her. She starts to walk back into the golden room. I follow her.

" Nana please. I thought we were done with this talk."

" Then stop staying out late. It's not ideal. What do you think the Internet will say when they find out you're sleeping around?"

 " I don't sleep around nana." I protested.

" Tell that to the hand." she lifts her hand and scoffs.

" Nana can we stop this."

" No!" She turns to face me abruptly. I screech.

 " Why?"

" The chef is in the kitchen, tell her to make something for you to eat." She says, ignoring my question like it meant nothing.

 " I don't want to."

 " it's not a choice, it's an order." I grumble.

" Noted." I say when I see her waiting for a response. Who waits for a response after an order?

" I got a new PA for you. You'll meet her tomorrow. Her name is Nelly James Melissa. And just so you know it's final." she raised a brow at me and walked away. Leaving me to my thoughts. Can this day get any better?

" Mr Willie, I thought the new PA is supposed to come today?" I say trying to focus on the file I was reading. I'm distracted, not because I want to see this new PA Nana brought for me but because I can't seem to find the girl with the best v-line I ever tasted. The pen in between my fingers falls to the table then to the floor. I sway from left to right as I kept pondering. Different thoughts taking space in my head. I can't think straight.

" She'll he here soon." He says and drops another file on my desk. " Start with this for now."

 " I can't right now."

" your signature should be hard to put on the file. Sir."

" Send her in when she comes." I order and wave my hand, signalling him to leave. Maybe he's one of the reasons I can't focus. I swirl my chair around, welcoming the beauty of the view behind my glass wall. The sky feels ethereal.

" Good morning sir." I hear her say.

" You're late Miss. Don't you have any etiquette?" I ask, somewhat angry.

" I'm sorry sir. My sister delayed me. She said... I'm sorry."

" Did your sister employ you?"

" I'm sorry sir." She says again.

" You're sorr--" I swallow my word when I finally spun around and see her.
