Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

THEO'S POV

I am only doing you a favor, little sister.

Sienna looked starstruck; her expression was priceless, just like I had expected.

She watched her mom walk out speechless. For the first time, I had seen her speechless with no words coming out from her mouth. Just a pale face and her eyes laced with confusion.

Her eyes met my gaze and a small smile curved my lips. I had no idea why I was super excited about her living with me. Don't get me wrong, I hadn't changed my mind about how I felt about her.

I still hated her and I was sure the feeling was mutual, even if it was quite obvious that she hated me more than I hated her. I just loved the fact that I could get to tease and taunt her any time I pleased.

The fact that she would forever be at my mercy and I could finally get to piss her off at any fucking time I wanted. She knew that she was dumped—that was why she was so against it—but I don't think she had a choice.

"This is a dream, right?" She stuttered and I let out a scoff.

A dream? She had to be kidding me. She thinks this is a dream.

"Snap out of it, Blake!" I blurted out.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" She fired back at me and I frowned.

Why was she angry at me?

Trust me, I wasn't at fault for what happened. Her mom was the one who came to me and asked me to take her in because she had sold their house.

I asked no questions and only told her that she could live in my penthouse if she wanted to. I was sure she wasn't going to agree to staying with me—that was why I had told her mom she could.

Sienna had a very tough ego and pride. I had expected her to refuse immediately, but she was not just refusing—she was also trying to pin the blame on me? Why?

"What are you talking about? I did nothing wrong!" I immediately defended myself.

I wouldn't just stand here and watch her blame me and fucking get mad at me for something I didn't do wrong.

"Why the fuck would you agree to such nonsense? What really is your deal?" She fumed and I scoffed.

Like I had expected, she was going to fucking blame me. She always saw me as the devil even when I was trying to do something for her own good.

Nothing I did was good to her. I expected it from her so I wasn't surprised or pissed by her outburst.

"I was only trying to help you. What would you like? Would you have preferred to sleep in the streets?" I bantered and she scoffed.

"Mom caused all this bullshit. Why the fuck would she sell our house?" She murmured and I scoffed.

She was nothing but a pissed-off and confused lady. She hated me so much that the thought of staying with me was making her go insane.

And I knew it was crazy, but I liked it. I liked the way she was acting up and throwing tantrums. It felt so fucking good to see her act that way.

"Don't worry, little sis, I promise to take care of you." I teased as my eyes pierced into hers.

Her eyes widened and she scoffed in disbelief. My lips twisted into a smile and I held her hands, making her gasp in surprise.

"What do you think you are doing?" She yelled as she tried her best to get her hands out of my grip.

I held on to her tighter, tight enough to make all her efforts to try to escape useless. She shot me a deadly glance and I grinned back at her.

"I am going to take you to your room." I answered and she hissed.

"And what makes you think I want to live here with you?" She snapped and I frowned.

Was she trying to make me be stubborn or was she just dumb? She had nowhere to go and there was no way I would let her go when I knew that.

Although I hated her, I would still make sure she wasn't doing something stupid. She had always acted stupid and childish, but throwing away an opportunity like this because she hated me was insane.

"It's not like you have a choice, do you?" I answered and she rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Fuck you, Theo! I hate you and there is no way I want to see you every fucking day." She refuted and I chuckled.

"The feeling is mutual, Sienna. But trust me, we can both pretend to be invisible and not cross each other's path." I suggested and she chuckled lightly.

"Of course, you really think I would believe that? There is no way you won't cross my path. You are always in my path!"

There was no way she could be this stubborn.

She seemed to have a comeback for everything I said. She wasn't going to back down either and there was no way I would keep doing this with her.

"I am doing you a favor here, little sis, so just follow me and stop talking so much!" I snapped and she scoffed.

She was silent; no words came out from her mouth to counter what I had just said like she always did. I had no idea if she was silent because she had nothing to say or if she had a lot to say.

But it was great that she was no longer arguing with me. I led her upstairs, and she followed me without trouble. We finally got to her room. It had already been prepared for her prior to her coming.

I stared at her to get her attention, but her expression was blank. She was emotionless and looked rather lost in thought instead.

Was living with me so bad that it had thrown her into such deep thoughts? I didn't want to piss her off anymore, at least just for today. She probably needed to rest and think about what had happened today.

"Your stuff will be moved here in a few minutes. I will take my leave now." I had immediately turned to leave as soon as I was done talking. I really didn't expect her to reply to me seeing how she looked.

But her words forced me to halt. For the first time in many years, since I had met Sienna, she had never said these words to me before.

"Let's make a deal!" She proposed and I scoffed in utter confusion.
