A loud scream tore through the calm of the morning.
Mina had just walked into the kitchen in search of coffee.But instead of her beloved brew…
There was none.
Mina: "DAMN IT!! SHIGERU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Maru: "What now, you deranged lunatic?! Did you kill someone again or what?!"
Mina: "If I had killed someone, I'd be thrilled! BUT… BUT… BUT…WE'RE OUT OF COFFEE!!"
Maru let out a nervous chuckle… which turned into a more concerned laugh.
Maru: "MINA… YOU HAD COFFEE YESTERDAY… HOW DID YOU FINISH IT ALREADY?!"
Tetsu (from the other room): "Why the hell are you yelling so early?! I'm trying to sleep!Or are you two back to your couple drama again?!"
Mina & Maru (in unison): "SHUT UP, TETSU!! WE'RE NOT A COUPLE!!"
…But even as they screamed it,they both blushed.
Later that day…
Maru came back from the store, slamming a new jar of coffee down on the table.
Maru: "Looks like I have to do everything around here just to keep this damn place running!"
Despite it being night already, Mina and Maru immediately brewed themselves a cup.They had literally spent the entire day in a crisis over the lack of caffeine.
Tetsu sat down at the table with them, curiosity in his eyes.
Tetsu: "Captain Maru, can I try a little coffee? I've never had any before…"
Maru handed him a fresh cup. Tetsu took a big gulp…
…and instantly spit it all out.
Tetsu: "THIS is what you two were SCREAMING about all day?!"
Chimo: "Tetsu! Let me try!"
Tetsu handed the cup to the tiny girl.Chimo took a massive sip. She swirled it around in her mouth… swallowed…and then turned to look at the others with an expression no one had ever seen on her face.
Dead serious. Dead cold.
Chimo:"This tastes like shit."
