CHAPTER SEVEN: FEAR AND DARE
The shocking defeat of Makoto village by Bakoto village sent shockwaves throughout the land. Many villages were now living in fear, wondering how Bakoto village, with its limited resources, had managed to defeat a stronger opponent. The question on everyone's mind was: what would happen to them if Bakoto village came after them next?
Villages ranked twenty to twenty-four were particularly nervous. They knew they were no match for Makoto village, and yet Bakoto village had defeated them with ease. The thought of facing Bakoto village's wrath was terrifying.
In response to this fear, the kings of villages twenty to twenty-four decided to put aside their differences and form an alliance. They called a secret meeting, where they vowed to work together to protect each other from Bakoto village's attacks.
King Hazen of village twenty-two stood up and addressed the group. "We must be careful. If anyone betrays our trust, they will face severe consequences. We cannot afford to have traitors among us."
King Jager of village twenty nodded in agreement. "This is a historic moment for us. We have never worked together before, but our survival depends on it. We must keep our discussions confidential and support each other in times of need."
King Thane of village twenty-one, the oldest among them, took the lead. "Fate has brought us together to face this common threat. We must stand united and help each other when Bakoto village attacks. As the saying goes, 'divided we fall, and united we stand.'"
King Thane looked around the room, his eyes piercing. "If anyone is against this alliance, they are free to leave now. But let me warn you: if you try to betray us, you will face the consequences."
The room fell silent, and then, one by one, the kings vowed to uphold the alliance. King Ryder of village eighteen was the first to speak up. "I promise to stand by this alliance and not betray your trust."
The others followed suit, each one making a solemn promise to support and protect each other.
With their vows made, the kings began to discuss their strategy. King Thane emphasized the importance of sending their best soldiers to support each other in times of need. "We must not hesitate to help each other. Our unity is our strength."
King Jager added, "We should also support each other in times of peace. If one of our villages is struggling, we should lend a helping hand. This will help build trust and strengthen our alliance."
