Soon-Tung grinned, his eyes showing a malicious aura in them as they morphed from blue to red in a heartbeat. He chuckled. "That's more like it, hit me more show me what the survivor g the dragon king tower is like!"
A blue beam shot from behind Soon-Tung forcing him on his knees before an explosion ripped through where he was. Black landed next to Alaric and took a good look at him, his dragon scales and the dark angelic wing on his back made her shudder. Her thoughts lingering on the amount of power he had been keeping underwraps.
Soon-Tung got up from the rubble and cracked his neck before removing his suit and t-shirt leaving himself bare chested. "Here goes!" His muscles flexed and Black's eyes widened when she saw the beam she hit him with shoot their way but three times the size she sent.
Alaric jumped up grabbing Black by the collar and he suspended in the air watching as the beam cleared the mountain top, the forest within the remote islands. He landed on the ground and placed Black on the ground. "Stay back, you can't win this one."
Black was about to retort only to shield herself from the shockwave of Alaric's movement—Alaric appeared before Soon-Tung and sent a punch only for Soon-Tung to block it, Alaric followed up with a series of punches and kicks making Soon-Tung to mimic him stopping every attack creating craters on the ground from their impact as they headed deeper into the island. Alaric opened his mouth mid attacks and a black beam shot from his mouth but instead of the beam hitting Soon-Tung, the latter placed a kick on Alaric's jaw redirecting the beam away from him clearing through the forest with ease. He followed by grabbing Alaric's face and threw him into the ground.
Alaric got up from the rubble and stared at the man standing just a couple of feet away from him. He dashed forward aiming to reengage in the fight with Soon-Tung only to get hit by lariat to the neck sending him crashing onto the ground—creating a huge spiderweb from the impact. Soon-Tung glared at the fallen Alaric. "Get up."
Alaric coughed and struggled to his feet, the darkness that had clung to his body started to peel away from the damage he had sustained. He gritted his teeth and focused his aura to open his inventory revealing the snow white blade with the shape of a dragon tooth—He raised his hand and channeled his aura into the blade and swung down releasing a blue wave that frosted everything in its path as it headed to Soon-Tung. To Alaric's surprise, the wave stopped in its path and it crumbled into nothingness as Soon-Tung looked at his hand in disappointment, he raised his head to look at Alaric.
"All of that, for a drop of blood?" Soon-Tung chuckled and the cut on his hand started healing up. He blinked, Alaric blinked and before the latter could complete the process of blinking, he was flung away by a kick to the midsection which crushed most of his organs and broke his ribs.
[Damage taken 75% forced take over]
[Conscience switch]
Alaric watched Sentinel's panel from his end—he tried to fight the man but he was just too overwhelming, everything he threw at Soon-Tung was ineffective, not yielding any results. "sure whatever" He mused to Sentinel as he closed his eyes allowing the system in his head to take reigns.
His body crashed on the trees, snapping them in half before he came to a halt, body slanted inside of the bark of the last tree he broke. His eyes crestfallen and dim only to flare up as Sentinel took over, from their normal piercing black to pure golden white they went and he picked himself up from the tree—his weapon which had left his hand when Soon-Tung kicked him materialized back in his hand, the once proud wing folded against his hand and he raised his hand while pointing it at Soon-Tung.
"Vortex."
Alaric's voice, monotone from the influence of Sentinel made the air shudder—and immediately after he said the word, gravity distorted around his grasp and it acted on where his eyes were at, grabbing Soon-Tung who had a surprised look on his face and in one fluid motion, Alaric yanked Soon-Tung to him and dashed forward, his blade held in a reverse grip—as they neared each other, Alaric loosened his grip on the blade, letting it rotate a bit in his palm before holding it firmly and he swung up creating an upward current in air pressure.
Soon-Tung raised his hand to block the attack aimed at his chest only for the blade to cut through his hand with ease—he grounded his feet on the ground and released his aura dispeling the gravitational pull Alaric had on his body. "You are lucky my time has ran out, but I'll return to finish this. You proved to be a nuisance that will grow in the long run, till then become stronger dragon."
Soon-Tung's body vanished after he gave that speech and Alaric dropped to the ground, Sentinel having stopped piloting his body.
¡
"Ugh!" Alaric groaned in pain as he opened his eyes only to get blinded by the white ceiling above. He tried to turn only to wince from the pain around his chest and he raised the covers to look at himself—the bandages around his torso brought back memories of when he fought that monster and him losing until the voice in his head took over.
The door opened and Black came inside, behind her was Cordelia who had a concerned look on her face—the two women took a seat on either side of the hospital bed and silence followed as no one said anything.
Black tapped on her finger on her forearm while staring at Alaric, she sighed. "How are you feeling?" She broke the ice with that.
Alaric looked Black. "A few broken ribs, difficulty breathing a bit overall I am doing okay and thank you, for bringing me to the hospital."
Black blushed a bit at the thanks and nodded simultaneously clearing her throat. "I've reported the incident to the chairman of the association and he said he would look into it. To think, a human could possess that much power to shrug my attacks off exists is troubling."
Cordelia who had been quiet during the exchange felt something in her heart—she didn't know what it was, but it felt like a small pang of pain seeing the two casually talk as if she was invisible to them. "I'm glad you are doing okay..." She started while looking at Alaric. "I was worried when I heard you were hurt in a fight but guess that was nothing to be worried about, anyways I'll have to get going," She said and got up, she left the room before any of the two could speak up.
[My data says she is jealous]
What are you talking about?
[That woman, Cordelia was exhibiting behavioral patterns of a jealous lover]
Alaric choked on his saliva and his eyes trailed to where Cordelia was a few minutes ago. He raised his eyebrow wondering why would she be jealous since they weren't dating and were relatively new to each other.
Black's phone rang and she quickly answered it. "Hello?"
"We need you, a calamity level tower is on the verge of opening, we need you now!"
