I just rounded off house chores with the help of Damien. Mum and Dad are already on their vacation so it's just I and Damien.
We'll be having the whole house to ourselves for the rest of the week. Woohoo! Sounds great right? It sure does.
My phone beeped almost immediately. Aha! A call came in. It was from Via.
"Hey bestie. Xup?"
"Cool. How about you?"
"I'm as good as ever."
"What are you up to presently. I mean any plans for today?"
"Hmmmm. Not really. Just bored at home. I'm just here all by myself."
"Ohhh. So sad. Anyways, I ain't bored coz I've got my troublesome cousin brother here to keep me company."
"Oh is that so? You've got a cousin right?"
"Yeah. And he's one of a hell. Really troublesome."
"Suits you well, don't you think?"
"So annoying."
"I sure am."
"Uhmmm.. via do you mind coming over?"
"Really?"
"Sure of course."
"Ok. Thanks. When?"
"Anytime you feel like."
"Oh! Means I could even come over now?"
"Yeah. If that's fine by you. I'll send my driver to come and pick you up."
"OK. I'll be waiting."
She ended the call and I glanced at the phone smiling. Via is coming over.
Great! Damien walked in as soon as I ended the call. He had the surprised look on his face.
"You were speaking to someone just now. Who was that?"
"Well, if you may know. It was actually my crush."
"Oh really."
"Yeah. She's coming over. She said she would like to meet with you."
"Oh really."
"Yeah. For sure."
"So what are we going to do now?"
I gave him a puzzled look.
"What do you mean by what are we going to do? Is there something you aren't telling me?"
"Bro I'm off. Let me quickly change into something nicer."
"Whatever you're doing. Just know she isn't going to like you okay. So don't waste your precious time."
I shook my head as I watched him run upstairs to his room. This guy really acts crazy sometimes.
•12:00 PM•
Door bell rings....
"Wait a sec."
(Opens the door.)
"Hey Via. You're already. Welcome, have a seat."
"Thanks. How have you been?"
"Great as always. You?"
"Perfect."
Just then, Damien walked in looking as hot as ever. Via was equally lost staring at him and I felt kinda jealous.
"Hello beautiful."
"Hey cutie."
Damien had that " OMG! Did she just call me cutie" expression in his face. Like he hasn't heard that countless times.
"And you are?"
"Oh I'm Damien..."
"Actually he's my cousin. The one I told you about earlier."
I chimed in. This was really getting to something else.
"Oh nice to meet you, Damien."
"Nice to meet you too."
"I'm Olivia."
"I already know."
"Oh. Seems someone has been talking about me non-stop."
"That's right."
"Hey bestie. You never told me you've got such a cute cousin."
"Well, maybe now you know. Oh! My bad. Pardon my manners beautiful, what do I offer you?"
"Cookies and Ice-creams would do. You know my favourite right?_
"I sure do. I'll be right back."
~ Author's P.O.V ~
When Brian set off for the kitchen, Damien thought of it as the best time to start up a conversation. He let a slight cough.
"So via. I guess you are friends with my brother. Very close ones at that."
"Well, yeah."
"So tell me, why did my brother choose you?"
"I don't know. But I'm happy with him and that's all that matters right?"
"Yes. That's right. You look beautiful anyways."
Olivia couldn't deny the fact that this Damien was good at flattering people.
"Gosh! You've said that countless times already."
Damien - But I can't deny the fact that you're gorgeous.
"Thanks dear. You look awesome too."
"Thank you. I'm happy that's it's coming out from a beautiful lady like you. But Olivia, please be honest with me. Do you like my brother?"
"Of course I do like him. He's my best friend afterall."
"No. I didn't mean it that way. I meant do you have feelings for my brother? Like, are you in love with him?"
"Uhhhh..."
Just then, Brian walked in with a tray filled with cookies and 3 cups of ice-cream.
"What are you two talking about?"
Olivia heaved a sigh of relief. Thank goodness Brian arrived just in time to save her some questions. That was one of a hell, she thought.
"Oh.. actually it's..it's nothing. Just random talk you know. We were just getting to know each other."
Olivia stared at him with wide eyes. Seriously? Just getting to know each other huh?
Brian raised an eyebrow staring at Damien with disbelief and doubt.
"Sure?"
"Of...of course."
"I hope so."

"Gosh! I've really spent a lot of time here. I need to head home before Mum gets back."
" Please via. Spend some more time. I really enjoy your company." Damien grumbled.
"Yes via. Please stay a little more."
"Are you crazy? Can't you see what the time says? "
"Ok. Let me see you off if you insist."
"Via, promise you'll come around some other time."
"Of course, I will."
"Bye pretty."
"Bye handsome."
"And what about me?"
Brian pouted.
Olivia leaned forward and gave him a peck on his cheek.
"That's for you."
"Ooooh."
"Bye via."
"Bye bestie. See you on Monday."
