Klera's Mom Point of View
I confronted a mysterious young woman dressed in a black robe, a strange dark magic book with a skull on its cover floating beside her. The battle began with my attack. I summoned water around me, focusing my wand.
"Water Magic: Hydro Tears"
Spell explanation:
(Water Magic: Hydro Tears is a Water spell that summons a flurry of medium-sized, teardrop-shaped water balls. These projectiles rain down on the target, each impact delivering a sharp sting. Their numbers make evasion challenging, creating a relentless barrage that can overwhelm opponents.)
I launched several Water Tears. She blocked them with her dark magic.
"Curse Magic: Mirror Jinx"
Spell explanation:
(Mirror Jinx is a Curse spell that mirrors the current spell attack and incoming to the caster, turning it into their own attack. This spell reflects the energy of incoming attacks, essentially making the opponent's magic work against them.)
My attack was returned, infused with dark magic, making the Water Tears darker and more menacing. I narrowly avoided being hit using a defensive spell.
"Water Magic: Ocean's Grace"
Spell explanation:
(Water Magic: Ocean's Grace the caster will envelops themself in a shimmering, protective cocoon of water. This temporary shield deflects projectiles, and if the caster get wounded inside, the water rapidly circulates, soothing and healing internal injuries. However, piercing attacks like swords, bullets and arrows can penetrate the watery defense.)
I chanted, summoning a protective shield of water that absorbed her previous attack.
She didn't hesitate, launching another offensive spell.
"Curse Magic: Curse Skulls!"
Spell explanation:
(Curse Magic: Curse Skulls is a Curse spell that summons multiple spectral skulls to attack opponents, dealing both physical and magical damage. The damage and number of skulls depend on the caster's skill. The skulls also inflict a lingering curse.)
Skulls hurtled towards me. My water shield activated, ready to protect me, but I wouldn't rely on it alone. I wouldn't underestimate her power; I needed to counter her attack.
"Water Magic: Water Coil"
Spell explanation
(Water Magic: Water Coil is a Water spell that unleashes a swift, a serpentine projectile of water that strikes with surprising agility. The coil whips through the air. While effective against multiple targets, the spell's effectiveness can be lessened by strong winds or dense obstacles that disrupt the coil's path.)
My spell struck the oncoming skulls, bouncing off her counter-spell and causing them to vanish.
"Impressive spells," she commented, "but I have even stronger ones in store."
Ignoring her boast, I focused intently on her next move. She began her incantation.
"By the power of shadows,
I curse this ground,
Hexed area, let senses stray,
Illusions rise, vision unbound."
"Curse Magic: Hexed Domain"
Spell explanation:
(Curse Magic: Hex Domain this Curse spell allows the caster to curse a specific area, enveloping it in a shroud of illusions that distort reality. Within this cursed zone, opponents may experience disorienting visual effects that confuse their perception, making it difficult for them to focus or accurately assess their surroundings.)
A wave of dark magic erupted from her book, swallowing us in a terrifying darkness that twisted my vision. Shadowy figures, countless duplicates of her, surrounded me – some flying, others lurking on the ground. Sweat beaded on my brow; a fleeting worry for my children flickered through my mind.
"Too many," I whispered, a shiver tracing my spine at the sheer number of her shadowy duplicates.
She smiled, as did her duplicates. The eerie feeling intensified. The full power of her spell was terrifyingly evident. They were about to attack. But I stood firm, refusing to yield, as their incantations filled the air.
I knew they were about to attack – all of them. The realization was a cold knot in my stomach. But I wouldn't let them. I will attack first. I made a silent promise to myself, my eyes hardening with resolve.
"Curse Magic: Curse Skulls!"
A chilling unison chant preceded the onslaught – a storm of skulls hurtling towards me. I responded instantly, my wand flaring as I unleashed
"Water Magic: Nimbus Rain!"
Spell explanation:
(Water Magic: Nimbus Rain is a Water spell that conjures a menacing nimbus cloud overhead. These aren't ordinary raindrops; from this cloud, balls of water fall and explode and burst on impact, releasing a cleansing wave of water energy.)
A colossal rain cloud exploded above, unleashing a torrential downpour of water blasts that obliterated her shadowy figures and the incoming skulls. My water shield held, absorbing most of the impact.
My victory stole the joy from her face. Fury contorted her face, a testament to the effectiveness of my spell and the utter collapse of her carefully laid plans. The strike had clearly shaken her, the anger a thin veil over the dawning realization of defeat. Then, she vanished.
Suddenly, she reappeared behind me, blade raised. I tried to cast a spell but it was too late. I dodged, but still suffered a minor graze.
"Ahh!" The pain ripped through me as I staggered back.
"I was right, your water cocoon has a weakness. It blocks projectiles, but not sharp objects."
Her face returned to its irritated expression, as she saw the wound I received earlier from her blade is slowly disappearing because of my Ocean's Grace spell, which has the ability to heal my wounds from the inside.
"Arrrgh! Why don't you just die already?" she spat, her face contorted with furious rage.
"Curse Magic: Curse Skulls" she cast her spell again, but it failed to hit me because I had a water cocoon.
Fuelled by rage, my eyes fell upon the water scattered across the ground – the perfect opening for my final, devastating move.
"Ocean's breath, a gentle plea,
Form a prison, wild and free!
Waters rise, foes entwine,
Pool of prison, make them mine!"
With a fierce chant, I waved my wand and pointed it at the ground.
"Water Magic: Pool Prison!"
Spell explanation:
(Water Magic: Pool Prison is a captivating Water spell that summons a massive, swirling pool of water, ensnaring opponents within its depths. A breathtaking spectacle of power and control, this spell summons a maelstrom of diverse waters—glacial, volcanic, ethereal—converging into a colossal. The caster then commands the chaotic currents, manipulating temperature, pressure, and the very essence of the water itself to devastating effect.)
A massive pool of water erupted, instantly engulfing us both. It's like a mini ocean in the area. A mini ocean appears, its waves a mesmerizing yet deadly cage. My water shield protected me, allowing me to breathe, but she struggled against the churning water, unable to escape. As she tried to cast a spell, I waved my wand again, manipulating the water's currents and preventing her from using spells.
