Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

But looking at the leaf, which was illuminated by a small sprout, Leonardo felt a slight confusion. How did this leaf even light up?

Before this, he thought that the role of the "system ", who could not speak or move, was only to give him a strong life force. Those gray leaves seemed to be just a decoration, albeit an important one for the "system father". A little disappointed, but still possessing a strong life force, he consoled himself with the fact that he would now be able to recover from serious and minor injuries. In the future, when going out for walks, he decided to keep a low profile, as his father advised: "Don't get into trouble, find a strong protector, and life will be safe."

But now the first leaf suddenly caught fire, and it gave him an incredible skill, "Blooming World". And that's just the first leaf at the very bottom! There are four more leaves above it, and if they give him something more powerful than this skill, what will it be?

"Wooden Dragon"? "True Thousand Hands"? "Wood Golem"?

Images of powerful wood techniques from the Naruto world popped into Leonardo's head, and his heart began to beat faster. He couldn't wait to light the rest of the leaves on fire so he could go to the Whitebeard or Golden Lion pirates and show them what he could do.

However, looking at the four gray sheets, it was as if he had been doused with cold water. There was not a drop of experience, not a hint of green stripes that could activate them. The first sheet lit up for some unknown reason, and who knows how to light the rest...

- Boom!

- What are you doing on the bed? I'm knocking on the door!

The dormitory door swung open with a bang and Gion walked in, looking angry.

- I was lost on the road of life, can't you see that I am thinking about the meaning of existence?

Leonardo glanced

The theoretical part of the exam wasn't a big problem, but considering that Leonardo, who reads textbooks, is like someone who just flips through a book, he still had to make an effort. If he really wanted to continue living the way he did three months ago, the other students wanted him to accept it too. But no.

After Gion left, Leonardo immediately took out some old items he bought from a nostalgia shop, added some artistic touches to them, and went to visit the instructors.

As he had expected, subjects like navigation and meteorology were not core subjects. Previously, their teaching at the academy was more of a formality. Improving the quality of the Naval Academy might improve the students' level slightly, but only slightly. After all, without these subjects, when others spoke of the Naval Academy, they would only think of it as teaching how to fight, and its reputation was not the best.

Before Zephyr became the head instructor, these subjects also existed, but there were no courses at all. Students began to learn to fight from the first day. When Zephyr became the head instructor three years ago, he introduced a rule: three months before the official admission, students had to take these courses. But, as they say, every profession has its elite, and their sailors were mostly street fighters, so the fist remained the last argument. Even with Zephyr's arrival, this rule was only so that students at least a little bit understood navigation, could read maps, steer a boat and not get lost at sea.

So Zephyr usually didn't ask much from these exams. The main thing was that the students understood the basics, could read a navigation chart, and handle a boat. That was enough. So when Leonardo came to the instructors with an artistically-crafted gift, they might not have believed the story he told, but they happily agreed to his terms.

Whether there was a real story behind this gift or not did not matter.

They simply admired this young man. He was talented and could be a real leader. Who wouldn't love such a student.
