[3rd Person POV]
While Ravin was busy dealing with his yandere waifus, Synthia stood before massive obsidian doors, carved with ancient glyphs that pulsed softly. She'd changed her battle outfit for a sleek black coat, her crimson hair tied up in a ponytail, posture proud.
The grand double doors opened with a low creak, carved with runes that shimmered faintly as Synthia stepped through. Her boots clicked softly against the obsidian floor, each step echoing into the vast, cathedral-like throne hall. Jagged crystals jutted from the walls—glowing in hues of amethyst, sapphire, and ice-blue—casting an ethereal light over the chamber.
At the end of the room sat her—perched lazily upon a throne adorned in dragonbone and velvet flame.
Queen Zephyra Drakonis. The Dragon Queen. Head of Nelix Academy. One of the only Transcended Star Mages still walking the world.
Their auras clashed briefly, then settled.
"You've returned," Zephyra said, her voice a paradox of thunder and silk—deep, seductive, and commanding all at once.
Synthia remained unmoved. "I want to teach. I have a student worth nurturing."
Zephyra didn't respond right away. Instead, she reclined slightly upon her throne—expression unreadable.
She was breathtaking and terrifying in equal measure.
Zephyra's long turquoise hair shimmered like liquid crystal, cascading down her shoulders in flawless waves. Twin obsidian-black horns curved back from her head like a crown forged in dragon fire, adorned with delicate gold rings and arcane etchings that pulsed faintly with magic.
Her aqua eyes—vertical slit pupils glowing faintly—held the stillness of an immortal who had seen centuries pass and kingdoms fall. They flicked over Synthia with calm intensity—measuring, weighing, judging.
Her skin was flawless, kissed with a faint golden hue that shimmered subtly in the light. She wore a deep teal gown trimmed in obsidian and lined with gold embroidery—regal, sharp, and deliberately revealing.
"A student?" she finally said, voice dripping with amusement. "Or something more?"
Synthia met her gaze. "What my relationship is with him is of no concern to you."
Zephyra arched a brow. "And yet it may soon become everyone's."
Synthia's crimson eyes narrowed. But she didn't answer.
Zephyra rose, descending a few steps from her throne, arms folded.
"So, you've traded your empire for a classroom? The infamous Sword Empress—demoted to instructor?"
"I am what I choose to be," Synthia said coolly. "And I choose to be here."
A pause.
Then Zephyra smiled—equal parts amused and dangerous. Her cloak flared with an unnatural gust of wind.
"Then welcome to Nelix, Sword Empress. Advanced Sword Combat and Special Tactics. Your class begins after the ranking exams. Do not disappoint me."
"I never do."
Their gazes locked one final time. Synthia gave a shallow nod and turned to leave, her coat sweeping behind her.
The doors closed with a heavy thud.
Zephyra lazily sat back down and muttered to herself.
"Still dangerous. And still... interesting."
Pixia's voice echoed in Ravin's mind from far away.
(They both sound like they're one step away from hugging or stabbing each other. Probably both. 10/10 tension. Would watch again.)

[Ravin's POV]
After spending the whole night consoling a very agitated Alicia that I wasn't going to leave her just because I had more waifus—and yes, she was still my number one—I finally arrived at the arena for the second trial.
My coat fluttered dramatically in the morning breeze as the crowd gathered in front of the new portal—far more elaborate than before. A silver arch inlaid with star-gold runes, swirling with a liquid-like magical field.
This time, the audience wasn't just examiners.
It was full of commoners, teachers, merchants... and most importantly, potential waifus.
While I made my dramatic entrance, the whispers started up again.
"Is that Ravin?"
"He looks even better in person…"
"That's the guy who made the saintess cry from a single song!"
"Didn't he play at the entrance ceremony and make half the city swoon?"
"Even the headmistress is watching him!"
I waved casually, flashing a smile.
"Pixia, how's the crowd looking?"
(You've got fans from four different species swooning right now. Honestly, Host, you could sell bathwater at this point.)
"Tempting."
(Please. Don't.)

[Floating Observer Stand — Zephyra and Synthia's POV]
Synthia sat silently beside Zephyra, eyes locked on me. Her arms were crossed, her expression unreadable—except for the occasional twitch of her lips whenever I winked at the female audience.
Zephyra sipped wine lazily. "You picked a flashy one."
Synthia didn't look away. "He's effective."
"And dangerously attractive. You sure you want him stirring the pot here?"
"I'll handle the chaos."
Zephyra grinned. "I'll hold you to that."

[Trial Grounds — Portal]
"All examinees! Prepare for the Second Trial: The Trial of Unity!" the announcer called.
(The Trial of Unity. Pfft—what's next? Magical friendship bracelets?)
The staff spoke again. "You will be placed into randomly selected teams of six. Each group will undergo five consecutive challenges in a simulation realm. Any infighting or betrayal will result in automatic failure."
(And possibly a group therapy session after.)
"Let's see who I'm stuck with."
Names flickered onto the magical scroll.
Team 7:
Ravin (that's me, your humble down to earth and dangerously charming MC)
Leon (Wait... the protagonist?)
Eira (Silver-haired girl. A heavy yandere.)
Luni (Unicorn girl. Sweet enough to give you diabetes)
Mera (Shy girl. Likely to faint at compliments)
Borik (Dwarf. A grumpy tsundere.)
I sighed. "Pixia, what even is this party composition?"
(A wholesome cinnamon roll, an edgy lunatic, a shy blinker, a sparkly horse girl, and a walking punchline. You're the only reason this won't turn into a comedy of errors.)
Sigh....
Alicia looked like she was in depression after finding out that she was not in my team.
I just gave her a nod and turned my attention to Leon.
He had that classic protagonist charm—black hair slightly messy, a warm grin on his face, and those deep black eyes that screamed "I want to help people."
He was slightly shorter than me, leaner, and only slightly less handsome.
"Hey, Ravin, right? I'm Leon. Looks like we're teammates." he said, extending a hand.
I shook it. "Nice to meet you. You're famous in your own right."
Leon chuckled. "I am? Nah, I'm just good with spells."
Pixia snorted.
(He's literally the protagonist of the game. And now you're the side character in his story. Wait—nope. Scratch that. You're the one seducing his waifus now.)
While I was shaking hands with Leon, the others began to gather around us.
"Hi there~" Eira appeared at my side like she'd teleported. She latched onto my arm before anyone could blink. "Ravin… we meet again. Fated, aren't we?"
Leon blinked. "Is she… always like this?"
"I only met her yesterday and she's already like this," I whispered back.
Eira giggled.
Then came a soft chime of bells—no footsteps.
A girl with silver-white hair tied in a loose braid and gentle lilac eyes stepped forward. A faint shimmer of mana trailed around her like stardust.
"I'm Luni," she said quietly. "It's… an honor to be teamed with all of you."
Her aura was soft, like a breeze through moonlit trees. She radiated calm.
I smiled warmly. "Nice to meet you, Luni."
She looked down shyly. "Y-You too…"
(Affection +3. Luni: 10/100. CP +3,000.)
A small eep followed.
I turned to see a tiny, nervous girl hiding behind Leon. Chestnut hair, wide hazel eyes, a cloak too big for her frame. She looked like she'd rather be anywhere else.
"I—I'm M-Mera…" she squeaked.
Leon bent slightly to her height. "Hi, Mera. Don't worry, we've got your back."
She turned pink. "T-Thank you…"
(Affection +2. Mera → Leon: 8/100.)
And then—
"Tch. What a bunch of walking liabilities."
A deep grumble came from a short, broad figure stomping toward us with all the grace of a rolling boulder.
He had a thick beard braided with copper rings, a massive axe slung over his back, and an expression that could curdle milk.
"Name's Borik. Don't get in my way. I ain't here to make friends, just crush things."
"Wow," I said. "He even comes with a manual."
"Wanna say that again, pretty boy?"
"Sure. I love your beard. Very fluffy."
He squinted. "...Tch."
Pixia laughed.
(Aw. He's blushing. Classic tsundwarf behavior.)
I clapped my hands together. "Alright, Team Seven. Let's not fail horribly."
Leon nodded. "Agreed. Let's do our best."
Eira clung tighter. "As long as I'm next to Ravin, I don't care what happens~"
Luni smiled. "I'll support everyone."
Mera peeked up from behind Leon, whispering, "L-let's survive…"
Borik rolled his eyes. "May the gods help me."
---
[Phase One: Maze of Whispers]
We stepped into swirling mist which reduced our visibility to just beneath our feet.
A floating rune lit up above us.
Objective: Navigate the maze. Visibility: zero. Communication: vital.
Leon rubbed the back of his head. "How are we supposed to stay together?"
"Easy," I said, pulling out a glowing thread made of mana.
"Pixia, Soulweave Tether, please."
(Deploying the magical friendship rope. Embarrassment imminent.)
"Hold on to this. It links our mana signatures. No one gets lost."
Luni smiled. "It feels… calm. Like moonlight."
"Thank you."
(Affection +4. Luni: 14/100. CP +4,000.)
Mera shyly clutched the thread near Leon.
"I-I'm scared of mazes..."
Leon smiled. "Don't worry. We've got you."
She blushed. "T-Thanks..."
(Affection +2. Mera → Leon: 10/100.)
Borik huffed. "Don't need a glowing string to walk a damn hallway!"
"Then don't let go of it, gramps."
"Watch it, pretty boy."
We moved as a unit, monsters trying and failing to ambush us as I handled most before the others even noticed.
Fifteen minutes later, we emerged at the exit.
Leon blinked. "That was… way easier than I thought."
"Well," I shrugged, "I'm used to navigating through fog. Both metaphorical and magical."

[Phase Two: Room of Riddles]
Next room: floating stone platforms and a spinning cube.
Objective: Answer five riddles. One mistake = the floor will collapse. All must answer. All must survive.
Riddle One: "I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with the wind."
Leon and I: "An echo."
The Cube glowed.
Riddle Two: "The more you take, the more you leave behind."
Mera whispered, "Footsteps."
Correct.
Eira's riddle: "The more I give to others, the more they reveal themselves."
Answer: "Insanity."
Correct... Somehow.
(Host, she scares me. Please marry her and keep her occupied.)
Borik's turn: "I drink but never eat. I live on wood."
"Fire," he said gruffly.
Correct.
The Cube pulsed and the platforms lowered.
Two trials down.
Three more to go.
