Chapter 3 - Awakening a class

A dragon so massive that space seemed to shatter just by its mere presence stood above gazing down below.

However, the next moment he was forced to turn his gaze away, as his head started to shake.

Boom! Boom! Boom! The sky was shaking as if it was about to collapse.

"Little Sector Commander, your time has come..."

"Did you really think no one would notice your crimes?"

An ancient voice that seemed older than time itself resounded everywhere, changing the rules of reality. Then the dragon opened its massive mouth and spewed a river of black lightning, causing heaven and earth to break apart.

Sector Commander Azaroth remained unfazed. With an indifferent look in his eyes, he said, "Good, good, Calamity Lord. You sure are daring to attack a sector commander."

"Don't you know attacking an empire official could result in the extermination of your entire dragon race?"

.....

Jack panicked as he witnessed the apocalyptic scene. One moment he was reading his favorite novel, and the next moment he received an email asking if he wanted to transmigrate to the world of his novel.

Thinking someone might be pranking him, he decided to play along. However, as soon as he agreed, the wall of his room shook and a truck came crashing, after which darkness enveloped him.

Just as he stood frozen like a statue, a voice sounded directly inside his head: "What are you standing around for? Quickly use that portal and go!"

Jack knew who the speaker was. He hurriedly nodded and rushed towards the black portal.

However, the next moment, his steps slowed down a little as the portal was flickering in and out of existence, as if it was about to disappear.

Just as his steps had halted, a bolt of lightning almost a meter thick landed some distance away, blasting a hole in the void.

"Fucking hell! This place is very dangerous, I need to leave."

Immediately, Jack started running.

Unknown to him while he was being confused, one decisive yellowish ball of light was even faster than him, entering the portal first.

After a lifetime of failure, Zarek had long realized the importance of taking timely and decisive decisions.

So, as soon as he noticed things were getting out of hand, he reacted fast and decisively rushed towards the portal.

As it turns out, he made the right decision, as in the next moment, another black lightning bolt fell from the sky. This time, its target seemed to be Zarek and Jack.

Sector Commander Azaroth, who was busy fighting with the Calamity Lord, gritted his teeth and pretended to be calm.

However, internally, he was panicking, when he saw the two souls that he had picked were being targeted, "Are they aware of my plan?"

The way he looked at the Calamity Lord changed. Other than furious wrath, there was also vigilance.

Meanwhile, the lightning bolt struck Jack, and immediately the fellow turned into a ball of light before being thrown into the portal.

This scene caused Azaroth's face to darken even more.

Indeed, his plan had been exposed.

.....

Zarek was swimming inside the dark portal. He felt as if he was sliding down a never-ending water slide.

Then, he noticed four balls of light coming toward him at fast speed.

"Aren't these the balls which that Jack guy got after making a wish?"

Suddenly, his ball flashed as he smelled an opportunity. He didn't dodge but allowed the balls to hit him.

Zarek expertly avoided the largest ball, which he wasn't familiar with, and the three balls hit him and immediately merged with him.

Soon, an intense headache assaulted him. Then he fainted.

....

It wasn't clear how much time had passed, but Zarek felt intense pain—so intense that he had never felt anything like it in his life, as if thousands of ants were eating away his brain.

Before he could even understand where that pain was coming from, he heard loud, furious shouts.

"Don't let this evildoer escape!"

"This criminal deserves to die!"

"It was a good thing that the Silver Blade family threw him out!"

"Now we can get revenge for all the poor people that died at his hands!"

Although Zarek was in intense pain, he could tell these words were directed at him.

Realizing the implications, his heart turned cold.

Mountains tall gray mountains as far as his eyes could see, their lofty peaks seemed to pierce the sky.

Zarek was running barefoot on the scorched earth, behind him dozens of warriors chased after him furiously.

So, ignoring the pain, he gritted his teeth and continued to run.

Just at this moment, he heard a slightly panicked sound from behind him.

"Oh no! Someone stop him—he's going to enter the Mad Wolf sacrificial dungeon!"

"Don't worry, it's a sacrifice dungeon. The chances of him coming out alive are too close to zero."

"How foolish of him to think, he can escape by entering the Dungeon.."

"But just in case he comes out, we will wait for him."

Zarek, however, couldn't pay further attention to them, without him realizing the scenery around him had changed, the Gray mountains turned a shade of deep black, a gigantic Metallic gate guarded by two statues of massive wolves with their heads turned upwards stood ahead, the wolf seemed to be aiming for the moon with the intention to devour it forcefully.

In the blink of an eye, Zarek was past the stone statue, and the scenery changed.

Before he could examine where he was, a pale blue window slammed into his vision forcefully.

[Your ability to speak has been sacrificed as a price to enter the dungeon.]

[Please clear the dungeon to regain the ability to speak.]

[Congratulations, warrior, for awakening the First Sequence Ultimate Grade class: Infinite Origin Summoner.]

[Please check your status window for further information.]

Just as he was processing the window in front of him, the air around him hummed and vibrated. The next moment, multiple runes appeared on his throat like moving snakes, warping around his neck like ropes.

He tried to exclaim in surprise, but no words came out of his mouth, only the sound of air escaping his voice box.

He had been really turned into a mute.
