The infirmary was quiet.
Monitors beeped softly as golden light from a healing spell washed over Inavy's body. He winced slightly, bandages still wrapped around his arms and chest. A healer stepped back and gave a nod.
Healer:"You're stable. But you need to rest for an hour before your next match."
Inavy (sighing):"Just an hour, huh…"
He turned his head.
Beside him, laid out on the next bed, was Darius — arms behind his head, already wide awake with a grin.
Inavy (softly):"You fought really well, Darius."
Darius (smirking):"You think so? Or are you just feeling sorry for me?"
Inavy (chuckling):"I do think so.And I really hope we end up in the same guild, man. We'd be unstoppable."
Darius let out a small laugh, glancing at the ceiling.
Darius:"Yeah… But don't go hogging all the spotlight, alright?"
Inavy (grinning):"I promise."
A familiar voice interrupted them.
Rose Eldara rushed into the room, her expression full of concern. Her hair was still damp with sweat from her own match.
Rose (worried):"Inavy! Are you okay?!"
Inavy (smiling softly):"About… 80%? I think."
She let out a relieved sigh and sat beside him.
Inavy:"You know… it'd be pretty great if the three of us ended up in the same guild."
Rose (curious):"Really?"
Inavy (nodding):"Yeah. You've got that healing water thing going on — I get injured a lot.Darius can manipulate divine light and spatial fields.Me? Well, I've got chaos lightning and bad decisions."
Darius (grinning):"We'd be terrifying."
He paused for a second before asking—
Darius:"If you had to choose… which guild would you want?"
Inavy (shrugging):"As long as I feel like I belong… I'm good."
Rose (thoughtful):"I think I'd go with the new Phoenix Guild. It's led by Diana Flamesoul. She's super powerful — and a little scary."
Darius (nodding):"That's a solid pick. The Guild of a Thousand Lights already has a Valtier — not to mention Kelvin. He and Lorien are the faces of that guild."
Inavy:"I just hope Phoenix wins the top three picks."
They all sat in silence for a moment — a rare, peaceful pause before the storm to come.
One hour later.
The sound of heavy boots echoed down the hallway.
Ray Stormbreak entered the room, his presence commanding immediate attention. In his hands, a sealed black case — ancient in design, radiating restrained power.
Ray (calmly):"Inavy. One minute.I have something for you."
He placed the case on the table and, with a single motion, broke the seal.
Inside — a blade.
Long. Sleek. Dark steel pulsing faintly with veins of crimson light. It radiated something ancient… and volatile.
Ray:"This sword… is yours alone. No one else can wield it.Its name… is the Blade of Chaos."
Inavy reached out and grasped the hilt. Instantly, the blade responded, humming with energy — a perfect resonance with his aura.
The chaos stirred.
The arena above roared with excitement. The audience was on fire. Cheers echoed through every corner of the Colosseum.
This was it.
The final match of the Grand Draft.
Inavy Stormbreak vs. Kelvin Nox.
Two of the brightest stars.
Two futures clashing.
And now… one of them held a blade that even fate seemed to fear.
