Chapter 8 - Ep 8 - Council of Nine Hell

The city lights of Tokyo flickered, unaware of the ominous pulse growing beneath its concrete veins.

---

A swirling storm of dark energy boiled high above a molten throne room, its walls etched with ancient runes and shimmering with infernal fire.

At the center sat Ragna Maou's old seat — the throne of the Demon Lord of the Nine Rings.

But the throne was empty.

"Zerak's defeat has upset the balance," rumbled a deep voice. The chamber was filled with nine imposing figures, each radiating a different primal element—fire, ice, shadow, lightning, poison, stone, blood, chaos, and void.

This was The Council of Nine Rings — the rulers of the Demon Plane, ancient, ruthless, and unyielding.

---

The Summoning

The eldest among them, Lord Arkael, a colossal figure clad in blackened obsidian armor, slammed his fist on a massive stone table.

"The Bloodline of Maou walks freely in the human realm, disguised and weak… but dangerous."

"We cannot allow the half-breed, Lily, to grow in ignorance," hissed Lady Xylra, whose eyes glowed icy blue. "Her power is untapped, but legends say it will eclipse even her father's."

A figure cloaked in shadow, Lord Vexis, leaned forward. "The Hero bloodline is equally threatening. Sakura still carries her mother's divine strength. Together, they're an unstoppable storm."

The chamber trembled as the council decided: They would open a new portal under Tokyo Tower, a gateway to reclaim their lost dominion and erase the Maou legacy.

Flashback — Ragna's Former Reign

The vision shifted to Ragna's memory.

He stood atop the infernal citadel, his crimson cloak billowing against a blood-red sky. The masses below—demons, imps, and fiendish generals—roared his name.

Ragna's eyes burned with determination and fury.

"I ruled with strength and honor," he muttered, voice echoing. "I fought wars that scarred worlds. But I chose exile. I chose love over legacy."

A ghostly image of Sakura appeared—her smile radiant in the chaos of his mind.

"But my past... it never truly dies."

Scene 4: Introduction of New Antagonists

Back in the present, a teleportation shimmer cracked open in a dark alley near Tokyo Tower.

Three figures stepped through:

Seraphile, the Fallen Angel who once admired Sakura's heroic resolve but now seeks to break her spirit.

Malrik, a demon general wielding a jagged, lightning-infused greatsword, his smirk dripping with cruelty.

Elysia, a venomous sorceress whose poison magic can rot the soul.

The trio surveyed the modern city with contempt.

Seraphile murmured, "The Hero has fallen... and the demon plays house. This will be... entertaining."

---

Deep beneath Tokyo Tower, ancient machinery churned.

Ragna and Sakura had sensed the surge of energy hours ago.

"This can't be good," Sakura said, eyes narrowing.

Ragna clenched his fists, the scars of a thousand battles tingling on his skin.

"If they want a war," Ragna growled, "we'll give them a fight they'll never forget."

---

At home, Lily practiced controlling her magic, swirling fiery orbs around her small hands.

Sakura and Ragna watched from the doorway, pride mixed with worry.

"You're stronger than you know," Sakura said softly.

Ragna nodded. "Stronger than both of us, maybe."

Lily grinned. "Then I'll protect my family—and this city. No matter what."

---

As the portal beneath Tokyo Tower flared open, the Council of Nine Rings began their incursion.

Ragna donned his battle armor once more—the familiar weight of his demon lord mantle settling on his shoulders.

Sakura ignited her holy blade, the light cutting through shadows.

Lily summoned a protective barrier, her youthful energy crackling bright.

Together, the family stood ready.

The fight to protect their new life—and forge their destiny—had begun.
