Chapter 25 - `Ch-25"Arthur’s Suspicion, Kazuki’s Determination"

Scene shifts to just some minutes after. Kazuki, his face now clear of scratches thanks to Elsa's swift healing, quietly made his way to Arthur's room. The light of the setting sun slipped through the windows, casting a warm glow on the room's polished wood and shelves filled with weapons, scrolls, and old war relics.

Kazuki stepped in, trying his best to look innocent and cute, his big bright eyes glimmering as he softly spoke."Brother, you promised you'd duel with me today!"

Arthur, who had been jotting down notes about the earlier demon incident, paused and glanced at his little brother. A small, knowing smile played on his lips as he thought to himself,"He's definitely not a normal child. No eight-year-old could fight off a demon, purify an entire school, and still act like this. If the old legend of 'Fate's Chosen Path' is true… then maybe… just maybe he's the reincarnated one. But I'm not sure yet. Is he fate's chosen, or just an insanely gifted prodigy? Either way, I need to find out."

Arthur closed his notebook and stood up."Yeah, let's go. I promised you a duel, so I'll keep that promise. And remember what I said — if you impress me tonight, I might just take you to the warfront."

Kazuki's face lit up with an innocent grin."Thanks, brother!"

The scene shifted to the royal training grounds, now bathed in the gentle hues of twilight. The royal courtyard was quiet, the only sounds were the soft rustle of leaves and the distant hum of guards on patrol. The two brothers took their places on the sparring platform.

Kazuki grabbed a wooden training sword, its weight familiar in his hands. Arthur did the same, twirling it once for effect."Alright, Kazuki," Arthur said with a calm but serious tone, "I want you to fight me the same way you fight father. No holding back."

Kazuki's eyes gleamed, his innocent mask fading for a brief moment as he gripped his sword tighter."Alright, brother!" he replied with a confident smile, excitement bubbling inside him.

Elsa's voice echoed softly in Kazuki's soul realm."Are you sure you're not going too far with this one?"Kazuki smirked inwardly."I need to convince him. He's my ticket to the warfield."

Arthur noticed the flicker of determination in Kazuki's gaze."This is no ordinary eight-year-old," he thought again. "Let's see just how far you can go, little brother."

As both of them took their stances under the growing night, the soft glow of spiritual force began to shimmer faintly around them.

The duel was about to begin.
