The Warning
Jin-Tae-hyun stood in the main living room stretching his arms as he glanced at the clock. 9:30 PM. His sisters were getting ready for bed, and he was relieved to see them wind down after a long day. "You two should get to bed now," he said gently, turning to his younger sisters. "Yes, oppa," they said politely, their voices sweet and sleepy. He watched as they walked into their room, closing the door softly behind them. He smiled faintly, feeling a sense of relief.
As he turned back to the dimly lit living room, Mira appeared out of nowhere. "This apartment is looking so expensive," she said, her eyes scanning the room. "How could you manage to buy this?" Jin-Tae-hyun tensed, feeling uneasy about her presence. "It's from my job," he replied, trying to keep his tone neutral.
Mira stepped closer, her perfume strong and overpowering. "Only came to give you some information and talk about something," she said, her voice low and husky. Jin-Tae-hyun raised an eyebrow, feeling a sense of unease. "What information?" he asked, his voice firm.
Jin tae hyun said "Let's talk in my room
"Well, well," she whispered, brushing a finger down his arm. "Do you have any dirty plans tonight… you naughty boy?" Jin-Tae-hyun didn't flinch. He stared at her coldly. "Why are you here?" he asked flatly.
Mira's smile was enigmatic.her eyes gleaming with something he couldn't quite trust. Jin-Tae-hyun shook his head. "No, let's talk here." Mira's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered.
Mira's smile slowly faded. "My uncle got involved, and I had no choice," she said, her voice serious. "I need to deliver a message." Jin-Tae-hyun's eyes narrowed. "What message?" he asked, his voice firm.
Mira's eyes locked onto his. "He said… beware of the lizards. They smile at you but stab you in the back when you're not looking." A cold chill ran down Jin-Tae-hyun's spine. He knew exactly who she was talking about. If that person had sent a warning, then something serious was already happening.
Mira continued, her tone lower now. "Also… he said that to… in Seoul… That's the next step." Jin-Tae-hyun's heart was racing. The message was clear—and dangerous. He barely managed to whisper, "What… what comes after that?" Mira didn't answer. She just smiled that same mysterious, poisonous smile… and walked away into the shadows of the hallway.
Jin-Tae-hyun stood there, frozen, his thoughts racing. He knew one thing for sure. The quiet days were over. The warning had changed everything. He felt a sense of unease, a sense of foreboding. Something was coming, and he needed to be ready.
