Inside the office, Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi sat silently, eyes closed, puffing slowly on his pipe. Beside him stood his long-time adviser Danzo Shimura, along with the two Konoha Elders—Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane.
A masked ANBU operative, wearing a cat-faced mask, knelt on one knee before them.
"Itachi," Danzo said coldly, "tell us your decision."
The masked shinobi remained silent, head bowed.
But in his mind, countless images and voices flashed through in rapid succession.
In one vision, a stern-faced man sat cross-legged in a traditional room, arms folded, his expression proud.
"You truly are my son. Making it into the ANBU at your age... Your future is limitless."
Uchiha Fugaku...A part of him—the soul who had reincarnated into this world—recognized the man instantly.I really transmigrated… and became Uchiha Itachi?!
That meant the "decision" Hiruzen spoke of—was the same one from the series. To side with the village… or the clan.

Uchiha Shisui…The reincarnated Itachi watched, stunned.
"Shisui!"
Itachi tried to reach out and stop him, but as Shisui vanished beneath the water, he spoke one final line:
"Don't stop me, Itachi… If you really are my friend—"
Itachi closed his eyes in anguish. Blood leaked from the corners of his eyes. And when they opened again—

"That's right, brat!" the three men snapped, activating their own Sharingan. "Listen up, Itachi. If you dare betray the Uchiha Clan, we won't let you off easy!"
Before they could react, a flurry of motion—
"Thwack!"
All three men were on the floor, groaning in disbelief.
"How… How is this possible?" one gasped.
A single strike. That was all it took.
He was only thirteen.
"You go on and on about the 'Uchiha Clan'… You don't even realize how small-minded you sound," Itachi said coldly.
"Stop, Itachi!" came a stern voice from behind.
Fugaku's voice.
But instead of words, Itachi responded with action. A kunai flew from his hand, whistling past Fugaku's face and embedding itself deep into the clan's emblem behind him—piercing the red fan symbol clean through.
Fugaku froze in place.
"I've already lost all hope in this petty clan," Itachi growled, his eyes narrowed with loathing.
Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan activated in response. He saw Itachi's face—his killing intent, his utter coldness—and his heart trembled.
Then, a voice pierced the tension. Fragile. Scared. Crying.
"Brother… please stop…"
From behind the door, little Sasuke stood trembling, unsure and terrified.
At the sound of his brother's voice, something softened inside Itachi. His Mangekyō faded, reverting to his natural black eyes.
"I'm sorry… I lost control," Itachi whispered. Then, to the shock of all present, he dropped to his knees and bowed his head, apologizing to the very men he'd just beaten.
But behind the apology, his eyes had changed again.
The Mangekyō was fully awakened.
A young clan heir, forced to bow before weaker, short-sighted elders…No doubt, in that moment, his hatred was cemented.That must be when Itachi made up his mind… to destroy the arrogant, decaying Uchiha Clan.
Then came another image.
A man with a white bandage wrapped over his right eye approached Itachi.
"From now on, you're an ANBU squad leader," he said.
"You're not officially in Root, but your missions will come from me."
"No need to report to the others."
"The Uchiha's discontent with the village is growing. This can't continue. I have a mission for you—starting now."
"Don't worry. It's just surveillance."
Danzo Shimura…The reincarnated Itachi sneered internally. This bastard. Manipulated a naive Itachi into slaughtering his clan.
Another scene—
Uchiha District. Clan Grounds.

A beautiful woman with long black hair, a beauty mark beneath her eye, and a soft smile extended a dango skewer toward Itachi.
"Whatever choice you make, I'll support you," she said warmly.
Itachi took the skewer. The taste was sweet.
Izumi…The memory whispered in his mind.
He always loved sweets... but lived a life of bitterness.
The visions ended.
