Chapter 11 - Chapter 10 – The Price of the Edge

Back at the Val'Kareth estate, Kairon awaited with stern concern.

Raezion limped through the gates, the faintest trace of blood staining his torn tunic.

"Why did you fight alone?" Kairon demanded.

Raezion's gaze was cold but steady.

"Because I had to."

Kairon's jaw clenched.

"Your power is dangerous, yes. But wielding it without control will only bring ruin."

Raezion's hand instinctively touched the hilt of Aeon Severance.

"I felt it. The blade… it wants to end more than just life. It wants to end truths."

Kairon's eyes widened.

"Then the god's relic is more than a weapon. It is a force of judgment."

Raezion nodded slowly.

"I don't want to be a weapon for others. But if I am, I will wield that judgment. Not for gods. Not for kings. But for myself."

That night, as the moons crossed the sky, Raezion sat with Draemax beneath the stars.

His voice was barely a whisper.

"Draemax, if this power demands I sever truths… what will be left of me?"

The crimson dragon's eyes glowed softly.

> "What is left, prince, is the end before the awakening. The path only you can walk."
