Kai sighed. "Unfortunately, because my friend said she wants to help this young lady, I'll have to decline your command. If you don't like my answer, please feel free to file a complaint with the board or directors, and we'll have a specialist look over it and make the changes needed to accommodate you in the future."
The assassins looked at each other in confusion, clearly not expecting the answer Kai gave. They, however, didn't care and drew their weapons to attack.
"We'll handle to girl. You two get the man." The leader ordered.
They dispersed, two attacking Gwen while the other two attacked Kai. Hidden knives were thrown, each of them laced with poison, and their mana engulfed their body. But the moment the knives came too close, they bounced off the barrier, flying in random directions, almost hitting the assassins.
"What the fuck!"
"What was that?"
"A barrier?"
"The mage probably protected them."
Kai turned to the girl, then back at the assassin, then back at the girl. "You better be a fucking princess or something." He pressed his hand on her head and healed her entire body. However, because of the mental stress and exhaustion, she passed out.
"He's a healer?!"
"Ready to fight?" Gwen asked.
"Nah, you won't stand a chance. They're two to four tiers stronger than you. Just stay with the elf woman until I'm finished with them."
Gwen nodded and took the elf into her tent.
"Okay, boys, I'll give you one chance. Leave now, or die. Choose."
Instead of responding, the assassins readied their weapons once more.
"Whatever. Have it your way." Mana erupted from Kai's body, shaking the area as if there was an earthquake.
The assassins backed up in shock and fear. They were strong, and they fought against strong opponents before. But never had they gone up against a Tier-10 warrior. Hell, they had never seen one before, only reading about them in documents.
"S-Shit!"
"Impossible! How can he be that strong for being so young?!"
Kai smirked. "My dad is a god." He lunged faster than the eye could see, grabbing an assassin's head and slamming it into the ground. A crunch sound was heard, and when Kai removed his hand, the assassin's head was completely crushed.

"Disperse!"
They all jumped back, throwing projectiles at Kai as they retreated.
"I'll draw his attention. You two prepare to atta-" The assassin bumped into something. He swore he checked where he would be when he jumped back, so it couldn't be a tree. When he turned around, he almost shit his pants.
Kai was standing three, looking down at him with a fierce gaze, his eyes glowing bright red.
"Di-"
He was lasered down before he could even finish that three-letter word.
"We have to retreat! We have to tell Lord Thorax!"
"Go! I'll cover you!"
The assassin nodded, threw down a smoke bomb, then bolted out of there.
"Seriously? You think you can contend with me?" Kai took one step forward and had the assassin shaking in his boots. How could he not? He was a tall, muscular man with immense power and glowing red eyes that just lasered down his friend. He would be imposing on anyone.
"Hmm? Your color went from red to white. I wonder why?"
[Alert! New hypnosis color found.
White - They're scared as fuck! Do your thing, King!]
"Hahaha! Fear? You're fucking scared? Well, I don't blame you. I'd be scared of myself, too. After all." Extending his hand forward, Kai tore out the assassin's heart using telekinesis.
"I'm strong as fuck!"
"Nice going, Kai! Now you need to get that last one!" Gwen shouted with glee as if she were his cheerleader
"Oh yeah, almost forgot." Lightning crackled in his hand, and a lightning bolt formed. He aimed at a certain angle, then chucked it with all his might.

The assassin ran through the forest as fast as he could, desperate to reach his master. He had never moved so fast before, and his heart was pounding in his chest.
'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Why is a tier-10 casually walking around the forest like an adventurer? Aren't people tier-8 and stronger supposed to register on the superpowers list? I've never seen or heard of him before! Kai, that was his name, right? I need to inform lord Thorax that the mission-GUWAKKKKK!!'
Pain extended to every part of his body. His limbs locked, and he stopped moving, tumbling in the dirt as he looked at his abdomen.
There it was, a lightning bolt that was crackling with such energy that even breathing was difficult for him.
"Did you really think you could escape?" Kai asked, whispering in the man's ear.
"Please!" He begged.
"Bark."
"W-What?"
"Bark like a dog since you're a little bitch. Do it, and I'll let you go."
"Ruff! Ruff! Grrrrufff!"
"Pwahahahahahahahahaha! Do you see yourself?! Hahahaha! You look fucking stupid! Oh shit I'm crying! I gotta tell Gwen. Hahaha!" Kai backhanded the man so hard that his head was severed from his body.
"Oh man, what a fucking idiot. At least he knows how to make a man laugh. Bro should be a comedian in his next life."

Gwen looked up and noticed Kai was already back. "Did you get him?"
"Yup. He's dead. Collected their bodies as well."
"Sweet."
"Nghhh!" The elf woman stirred, her eyes flickered, then opened slowly. The first thing she saw was two people staring directly at her, not something she was expecting.
"AHHHHHHHH!!" She screamed
"Really? I know Gwen's ugly, but damn."
She punched Kai in the stomach.
"Oof! I deserved that."
"Are you okay? You're safe now." She reassured the elf.
"T-Thank you! Thank you for helping me! I would have been dead if it weren't for you two. I owe you my life. I promise to repay you for your kindness." The elf stood up and bowed.
"So, who are you anyway? Judging by your clothes, jewelry, mana levels, and the fact that you were being chased, you're obviously someone of importance." Kai asked
"Oh, excuse me. Ahem, my name is Tyria Sarkylla. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She smiled.
Gwen's eyes were wide, and her jaw hit the floor. She pointed at Tyria, then looked at Kai.
"What?" He asked
"D-Do you not know who she is?"
"Should I?"
"She the freaking princess of this kingdom!"
