A week passed in the blink of an eye, and Kai was ready to travel. While traveling to nearby villages was cool and all, Kai would be traveling to villages and towns, which excited him more than it should have, considering he was a homebody back on Earth.
As he woke up, Kai stretched his arms and basked in the sunlight. Around him were all his women, knocked out from the hours of sex, their bodies completely filled to the brim with his semen, and the room was a mess.
'Ahh, nothing beats waking up to seven girls sleeping all around you after a long night of love making. I'll never get over that feeling.'
Kai and the girls said their goodbyes the previous night, knowing they wouldn't be awake to bid him farewell in the morning. So, Kai used [Clean], got dressed, and then left for the guild as he and Gwen promised to meet there when it was time to leave.
"Kai, you're here!" Gwen ran up to him, giving him a hug.
"Yeah, you ready?" He asked, hugging her back.
"Yup. I'm all packed."
Since she was an adventurer and knew she would be traveling, Gwen didn't have a lot of belongings, just one small briefcase that contained her things, while everything else was either worn by her or she could hold, such as her staff.
Kai grabbed her things, placed them in his inventory, and then headed off to the stables.
"Hello? Are there any rides to Dunbridge Village?" Kai asked a person working at the stables.
"Yerp, jus over there. Yer in luck, kid, that carriage is set to leave in ten minutes. Better hurry up if yer wish to make it in time."
"Great, thanks." Kai paid the person and sprinted to the carriage.
"You two going to Dunbridge Village?" The coachman asked.
Gwen nodded. "Yeah, got any room?"
The coachman bobbed his head toward the carriage. "Hop in."
"Sweet!"
Kai and Gwen hopped in, greeting the other four people already in the carriage. They were all civilians, a family. Two parents and two kids, the oldest of whom looked to be about twelve and the younger one eight.
"Hello, nice to meet you." The mother greeted them with a warm smile.
"Woahhh! Daddy, they're adventurers! So cool!" The son, who was the younger child, sat up, his eyes sparkling with fascination as he looked at Kai and Gwen.
"Haha, excuse my son's excitement. He really loves adventurers and wants to be one when he grows up." The father said, sitting his son down.
"Heh, no worries. I can understand why he would think they're cool. After all, we can do things like this." Kai extended his hand, and a fireball ignited.
"Woahhhhhhh!"
"Wow."
The oldest child, a girl, was now also impressed by Kai's showing of magic. It looked like she really liked magic.
Kai smiled. "That's not all." Wind, water, earth, lightning, he showed it all. Putting on a little performance for the family and their two kids.
They asked Kai and Gwen questions as they wanted to hear about their great adventures while hunting monsters.
Gwen wasn't the best at storytelling, but Kai put on a dramatic show, exaggerating their quests and straight up giving them false information, but since it was to entertain the kids, she didn't say anything.
"Thank you for entertaining our children. They weren't excited about moving, so you really made this journey a memorable one for them." The father thanked them, bowing slightly while seated.
"It was an honor to entertain them." Kai smiled.
Gwen agreed. "You have lovely kids."
Nightfall quickly came, and it was time to make camp. The coachman removed the harness from the horses, giving them some food and water, and everyone else was setting up their tents.
Kai prepared dinner, making enough for everyone, and placed a barrier around their camp just in case danger showed up.
"My god, this food is amazing!"
"Woah, you can cook better than me!"
Everyone enjoyed Kai's food, and eventually, it was time to sleep.
---
In the morning, they continued their travels, getting about a quarter of the way to Dunbridge Village, but as they were approaching a bridge that they needed to cross to avoid the raging river water, they spotted conflict up ahead.
"Hmm. Looks like bandits." The coachman said, slowing down.
"B-Bandits?" The parents were clearly nervous, but they tried to remain brave for their children.
"Don't worry, they'll let us pass if we give them some money, which I've already prepared. It also seems like some people are already here." The coachman then noticed a luxurious white and silver carriage with an emblem on it.
"Looks like they are nobles." The coachman concluded. "And one of them just pulled out their sword. Whoa, and they started attacking. My god! The knight just got his head chopped off! We're leaving!"
"Wait! Isn't this the only way to Dunbridge Village? We will need to pass by here eventually." The father argued.
"There's one more route I can take. It will add another two weeks to our journey, but that's better than saying to these people."
"Two weeks?!"
The coachman raised his voice. "It's either you suck it up for two weeks or risk the chance of you getting killed! Think of your family! You don't want to lose them, do you?"
Kai got out of the carriage, his weapons already strapped to his body. "It's okay, boss man, I'll handle it. Gwen, you stay here and protect everyone just in case."
"Got it."
"Boss man, get those horses ready as well. You never know when you need to book it out of here."
He nodded. "You don't have to tell me twice."
Kai then looked over to the battle and saw that out of the original six knights, two were remaining, and there were about fifty bandits, and only ten of them had been cut down.
'This doesn't look to be in their favor. Now, who should I help, the bandits, or the nobles? Oh, who am I kidding? Of course, I'm helping the nobles.'
