After wasting a long period of time and a ton of ores, Mo finally managed to create a set of Tinkers' Construct tools.
The set wasn't very large—just a greatsword, pickaxe, shovel, hammer, and lumber axe—but even so, Mo was fully satisfied. After all, when it came to crafting and combining, Mo had very little patience.
According to Mo, "This damn stuff isn't something any normal person would want to mess with!"
No matter how hard he racked his brain, he couldn't figure out why his friends and teammates had once been so obsessed with this. *Was there something seriously wrong with their heads?*
Honestly, Mo almost burned himself out just trying to make these tools.
Even though Tinkers' Construct kindly provided him with a guidebook, some alloys weren't mentioned in it at all.
So, during his first time experimenting with these materials, Mo ended up completely baffled.
He even developed a strange illusion:
- Open the book: Acid-Resistant Aluminum.
- Close the book: Acid-Resistant Spirit Alloy.
- Open the book: Acid-Resistant Aluminum.
- Close the book: Jade Aluminum.
When pouring: Acid-Resistant Aluminum.
After pouring: Aluminum Brass.
This whole mess left Mo feeling utterly sick.
He was mentally numb for several days, and during that time he didn't even touch the crafting table once.
But that didn't mean he was just slacking off.
In reality, Mo spent those days gathering materials for building a house.
While making his Tinkers' tools earlier, he had gone into the Nether once to search for cobalt and ardite.
In his mind, he had already gotten through the early game, and with resources abundant, it was finally time to build himself a nice big house.
After all, living in that dark, dingy basement was only making his mood worse.
Truth be told, Mo wasn't very good at building.
But then again... Building a house was still better than trying to decipher crafting recipes, right?
Given the choice between the two, Mo decided he'd rather build a house—even if it turned out to look like a shoebox.
It didn't matter; after all, he was the only living soul in this world. Who was going to laugh at him?
So, he got to work immediately.
Mo quickly had Steve start working.
Although he was building a house, the terrain needed some fixing up first.
The place Mo had settled was originally a forest, but by now he had almost completely deforested it, leaving behind a landscape of rolling hills.
He needed to level the high spots and fill in the low areas.
In simple terms: make a big flat space first.
It wasn't a small project.
Luckily, Mo now had his Tinkers' tools.
His pickaxe had an acid-resistant aluminum handle and a cobalt binding.
Thanks to cobalt's built-in lightweight property, his tool worked much faster.
As for the acid-resistant aluminum...
This pink alloy, made by smelting obsidian, aluminum, and iron, came with Durability III.
Mo enhanced the tool with two additional levels of durability, giving it a total of five durability upgrades.
The tool became essentially indestructible—it no longer lost durability no matter how roughly Mo used it.
Thanks to this nearly indestructible gear, Mo quickly flattened a huge area.
Afterward, he fenced off the land, planted torches everywhere, and finally began constructing the house itself.
Mo planned to build a two-story building with an attic and a two-level basement.
Unfortunately, his architectural skills were... questionable.
After burning through a mountain of planks, stone, and stone stairs, he did finish the house—but to be honest, it didn't look very good.
How to describe it...
Even a villager-built house would probably look better.
Still, Mo didn't mind at all.
In fact, he admired the big house he had built himself.
Humming a little tune, he moved everything from the basement into the new house.
He also created three farmland plots outside and planted them full of potatoes.
Mo had gotten the potatoes from zombies; initially, he had just one or two.
But with a huge stockpile of bones from skeletons, he used bone meal to rapidly grow them.
After a few cycles of planting and harvesting, he had three large potato fields.
After setting all that up, Mo finally turned his attention to the bosses of this world.
Though Mo wasn't great at crafting, when it came to combat, he was absolutely one of the top players on the server.
The first to suffer was the Wither.
Mo specially crafted a Jade Spirit Cleaver, and enhanced it three times with Blessed Earth to give it the Smite effect against undead mobs.
After that, he brewed some potions and chugged them all down.
When the Wither spawned, it didn't even last a few minutes before Steve stabbed it straight through the chest, causing it to screech and disintegrate into ashes, leaving behind a sparkling Nether Star.
After defeating the Wither, Mo immediately began searching for a stronghold.
Not long after, the Ender Dragon met the same fate.
Mo used a piston to collect the dragon egg and then built a two-block-high platform on the
End island, hiding under it while slaughtering Endermen en masse.
To be honest, at this point, Ender Pearls weren't that useful to Mo anymore.
But he was used to doing this—every time after killing the Ender Dragon on the server, his teammates would always ask him to bring some pearls back.
Mo never really understood what they were for—probably some mod recipes?
Anyway, he figured he'd better stock up just in case.
Who knew? Maybe he'd unlock a mod later that needed Ender Pearls.
Because of how Endermen work, they couldn't hit Mo hiding under the platform.
So he quickly gathered several stacks of pearls.
After that, Mo headed for the End City.
He slaughtered a bunch of Shulkers and retrieved an Elytra from the End Ship.
At this point, Mo had completely conquered the vanilla Minecraft world.
Other than the daunting crafting lists, there was no one and nothing left to challenge him.
He tucked the final Shulker Shell into his Alchemy Bag and looked around.
The noonday void was still dim and dark, and countless Endermen wandered aimlessly across the lonely island.
For some reason, a deep sense of loneliness welled up inside Mo.
He had painstakingly built his Tinkers' smeltery and crafted a powerful set of gear.
He had his own big house, and a thriving potato farm.
His Alchemy Bag was packed full of rare materials: gold ingots, diamonds, Ender Pearls,
Nether Stars, Elytra—even the Dragon Egg and Shulker Shells.
But this time, there was no one left to share his joy.
