==============

Connors was in the Arkham prison. Under the influence of hypnosis, the prison guards had accepted the fact that "Connors was sent by Batman." So when it was time for exercise, Connors, the Joker, and the others sat on the concrete floor like good friends, talking and laughing.

Based on the concept of "bold assumption and careful verification," Connors casually told the story of the "Brokeback Battle" between Bane and Batman in the comics: "You take turns to cause trouble and exhaust Batman, and then Bane defeats him. Killer Croc hasn't made any movement until now. Could he be helping you dig a hole down there?"

"No, no, no, you guessed wrong, brother," the Riddler was the first to shout. Bane was not in their plan at all.

The Scarecrow nodded: "You guessed half right."

The Joker licked the scar at the corner of his mouth with an indifferent attitude: "According to my plan, laughing gas, fear gas, and gunfire will take turns washing Gotham. Batman will indeed be exhausted because of this, but Bane is not in the plan."

"Why?" Connors didn't understand. Bane was too strong. Even if his physical fitness had been improved to the level of the human body's limit, he still couldn't be easily defeated.

It was unreasonable to leave such a strong fighting force unused.

"Although that guy looks like a big brute, he has more ideas in his head than muscles. How about you cooperate with me?" The Joker, ignoring his appearance, was still the most "normal" one among them.

The Joker casually pulled the Penguin, who wanted to speak, to one side, and his expression suddenly changed from normal to crazed: "How about we work together to send Batman here?"

"Think about it, a man who always moves in the dark, wears a strange bat suit, speaks in a deliberately low voice, knows that Arkham can't hold me, but always sends me here. Isn't he more of a lunatic than me?"

Lock Batman in Arkham Asylum? Connors gave the Joker a thumbs-up on the spot: "Great, Joker! How can I cooperate with you?"

"It's simple. You just need to—" The Joker laughed maniacally and was about to tell Connors the "plan" and let Connors die, but the guy actually stood up and left, leaving him with the rest of his words stuck in his throat.

Laughing gas, fear gas, and gunfire washed over Gotham one after another, leaving Batman unable to rest for a moment.

Killer Croc then helped them escape from prison, and they defeated the exhausted old man and locked him up in Arkham Asylum. But Bane was not in the plan, and he succeeded first.

The Riddler had no role in this operation, and he might have been tied up by himself before he could do anything. But there was another possibility: this old guy had another plan secretly.

Connors walked toward the exit of the exercise square while simulating the Joker's plan in his mind.

Under the nervous gaze of the prison guards, Connors walked to the exit, confirmed the safe distance, turned to the Joker, and said, "Mr. Joker, the plan is good, but like you said, Bane does have a lot of ideas—he used your plan to successfully defeat Batman." He then added, "Also, stay away from that position." He pointed to the place where he and the Joker had just sat.

Before he could finish his words, the entire concrete floor was blown away, dirt splashed everywhere, and a horrible roar came from underground.

Killer Croc!

The rough gray-green skin was covered with scales of varying sizes. Although it still looked human, both its face and body were more like a crocodile.

From the head to the huge tail dragging behind it, there were three or four rows of raised scales like saw teeth, combined with the sharp teeth in the huge crocodile's mouth.

If it lay on the ground, it would look like a giant crocodile. Connors looked at Killer Croc, who crawled out from the ground.

He was nearly two meters and five inches tall and was almost as big as Bane. Connors began to wonder how Batman had sent this beast into Arkham.

Alarms blared throughout Arkham Asylum. After Killer Croc emerged from the ground, the prison guards began shooting frantically, but the bullets hit Killer Croc's body with a clanging sound and were actually blocked by his thick scales.

Except for Batman's four opponents—the Joker, the Riddler, the Scarecrow, and the Penguin—other ordinary prisoners fled. Fleeing with the criminals was Killer Croc himself.

"No, you worked so hard to get out from underground just to escape from the hail of bullets?" Connors was a little confused. Was this person here to help the Joker escape from prison, or was he here to suffer?

Killer Croc almost ignored the bullets, but at this moment he still seemed to have encountered something terrifying and frantically whipped the wall of the exercise square with his claws and tail.

Bullets flew all over the sky, and the Joker passed by him. He didn't care about Killer Croc's current state, and then he walked madly toward the big hole where Killer Croc came out in the rain of bullets, but the Penguin jumped in first.

Soon, the Joker, the Scarecrow, and the Riddler followed suit, ready to jump in and escape.

Although there were deviations in the process, the result was still that Killer Croc came to help him escape from prison.

The Joker only needed to leave Arkham and re-customize the plan to send Batman to a mental hospital. But the Penguin who jumped into the hole first soon flew out again. He was accidentally hit by a bullet shot at Killer Croc in the air.

He fell heavily to the ground with blood splattering.

The Joker, The Riddler, The Scarecrow: "?"

Connors: "Penguins can fly?"

"Stop! Stop now!" The prison guard shouted loudly from the shooting tower high on the wall, and the rain of bullets stopped quickly.

Everyone's eyes wandered between Killer Croc, who was banging his head against the wall, the bloody Penguin, and the deep pit on the ground.

Then, under the gazes of everyone, a little head stretched out from the pit, with white hair tied into two ponytails, with blue and red ends, respectively. It was Harley Quinn.

Harley Quinn seemed to have been underground for a long time, and her face was dirty, but this could not hide her natural beauty nor the bright smile on her face.

She jumped up and greeted the Joker: "Hi~ Mr. J~, is everyone here?" She glanced at the Joker and saw the Riddler and the Scarecrow by the way and ignored the Penguin lying on the ground.

"Harley Quinn! Charming little bastard! I knew you would come—?!" The Joker opened his arms, but before he could finish his words, he watched Harley Quinn, covered in mud, fall into Connors's arms: "Paddy! Why are you here too?"

After three full seconds, she jumped out of Connors's arms, walked back to the edge of the pit, bent down, and pulled hard.

The mud splashed again, and Harley Quinn pulled out an oversized wooden hammer from the ground and put it on her shoulder and said to the Joker and others with a smile, "I'm not here to save you; on the contrary, I'm here to stop you from leaving here!"

At the same time, Killer Croc finally knocked down the wall.

Connors was stunned. He came here to advance the progress of the "Laughing Man" incident in the Gossip System. What was this little crazy Harley Quinn doing here?

Under the cover of Killer Croc, the Joker and his two companions ran outside laughing, and Harley Quinn was dumbfounded: "Oh no, I seem to have messed up—what are we waiting for? let's run."

Connors grabbed Harley Quinn and followed the Joker. It was definitely not easy to chase, so he took Harley around in a circle, intending to drive the muscle car back to the apartment first.

Then—"Where's the car?" Connors asked Harley.

Harley Quinn was confused: "I thought it was the Director of Arkham's car—used to ram the gate."
