Chapter 6 - learned my lesson…

Boom !!

"Hmm, that bastard! , still alive!!"

Seth muttered gloomily when he saw that he had failed to kill the sniper with the shell he had thrown at him, which the latter avoided by jumping from the mast.

He ignored him and moved to finish off the rest who were trying to escape by jumping into the sea, but Seth was faster than they were. He blocked their way, then swung the sword he had picked up again.

Like a wolf in a flock of sheep, he finished them off with complete ease. After all, they were extremely weak, merely slave traders and pirates in name only, with no bounties on their heads.

"I have taken many lives…" he whispered bitterly while looking between the sword dripping with blood and the corpses, most of them headless and bleeding profusely from the neck.

"They were evil…" he muttered, trying to reassure himself. He sighed and waved the sword to remove the blood, glancing from the corner of his eye at Elia, who had climbed onto the deck and was staring in awe at him and at the scattered corpses.

Seth ignored it and ordered, "Bring the others. It's best to clean the ship, throw the bodies into the sea…"

Elia's lips trembled when he heard the word "clean," but he still nodded and went back below.

"Now, let's get rid of that sniper once and for all…" Seth muttered while looking at the empty deck of the pirate ship; there was no trace of the sniper at all.

He moved quickly and jumped to the other ship.

"Hmm!!, why am I feeling this annoying sensation again!?"

He muttered with a frown while searching for the sniper's location. He searched everywhere; not finding him on deck, he decided to go below.

Bang !!

Ding !!

As soon as he opened the door, he received a bullet directly to his chest; he did not even have time to retreat.

Bang !!

Bang !!

Bang !!

Immediately after, many gunshots followed. There were more than five people standing before the doorway to the lower deck, having set up an ambush.

Ding !!

Ding !!

Ding !!

The sound of bullets clashing with his scales rang annoyingly in the pirates' ears.

"M-more , fire ..."

"Fire more, even a monster can die…" shouted one of them, who had been the sniper earlier.

But before any of them could fire again, Seth's large hand appeared quickly and grabbed the unlucky pirate, who struggled and wriggled like a worm, feeling his body lifted and the pressure on his head growing stronger and stronger.

"Ugh, n-no pl-please…" the pirate pleaded, but he had no time to finish before his head turned into bloody pulp.

Crack !!

This terrified the others so much that some fell to the floor in fear.

"You scum!!, that hurt, that was extremely dangerous…" Seth said in furious anger before throwing the crushed-head pirate's corpse at the fleeing sniper, then he stepped inside.

"Damn monster…"

Cursed one of the brave pirates, who raised his pistol again, but once more Seth was faster.

With ease, he pierced the pirate's face with his claw-like finger, killing him, and proceeded to do the same to the rest.

Seth whispered while staring at the pirates' corpses,

"Like ants!!…" He cleared his mind and thought, "But even ants can be deadly…" He recalled how he had lowered his guard earlier, which led to him being hit by many bullets. Fortunately they had not aimed at his head due to the low door height.

He removed the bullets stuck between his scales, which were covered with blood belonging to the pirates and traders he had killed, and also some of his own blood—yes, his own—since two bullets had hit the same spot and penetrated his defense.

Grrr !!

Ignoring his protesting stomach, he muttered with a frown,

"I'm starting to feel weak, it's best to eliminate all danger before I collapse completely…"

He sighed and thought regretfully, "If only there were food in front of me…"

He stepped over the corpses and went below, searching all the rooms and finding no trace of other pirates.

But he did find what he was looking for and also a lot of treasure.

Inside what appeared to be the kitchen, Seth, who had returned to his human form at will, leaned on a treasure chest and a large sack full of golden items.

In front of him, the food he had gathered was disappearing quickly.

"Waaah!!, finally I feel full…"

He said while patting his flat stomach as if he had not eaten food enough for more than ten people.

This was one of his magical talents, alongside a heightened sixth sense, since childhood, no matter how much he ate, he digested it easily and very quickly, converting it into bodily energy.

"I'm still a little hungry!, but it's best to save some for the others…" Seth muttered while cleaning meat pieces stuck between his teeth.

He patted the gold sack and thought happily,

"But this!, this is for me alone…"

Had he possessed this amount of treasure, worth an enormous fortune, he would not have gone out to sea every day with his father to fish and sell in the market.

His happy mood was destroyed when he thought of his dead father.

"That damn Celestial Dragon…" he gritted his teeth in anger.

He clenched his single hand and swore, "I will kill every Celestial Dragon I see in the future…"

He sighed and stood to find a new piece of clothing and also some water to wash himself, for he looked like a caveman, not to mention the unbearable smell of blood.

He touched the small circle on his chest and asked mentally with curiosity while tapping it,

"Hey, watch!, is there a way to hide or remove this protruding thing from my chest!?"

[Unlinking process in progress…]

[Do you confirm unlinking!?]

"Whaaat!?, no, no, no…." Even if Seth did not fully understand what the watch meant, he felt it was something bad.

[Process halted… canceled]

"Hoof!, that was dangerous…" Seth breathed a sigh of relief.

"That was really dangerous…"

"I want to hide this thing so others won't see it!!" He rephrased the command, but this time more directly.

[Access granted]

[Camouflage mode: On]

"That's better…" he muttered with a smile while staring at the now-hidden circular object that had previously protruded slightly in the middle of his chest.

…..

"Thank you…"

" Thank you ... "

Seth, who had washed and put on new clothes he found on the pirate ship, waved his hand and spoke while looking at Elia, who bowed in thanks along with the rest of the people who had been held captive.

"No worries, I only did what had to be done…" He approached and patted Elia's shoulder, who was taller than him, if not for his bow, Seth wouldn't have been able to pat his shoulder, and joked,

"Make sure you don't get captured again…"

Elia straightened and smiled.

"The same to you, boy…"

Seth raised his right arm, missing its wrist, and scoffed,

"I learned my lesson…"

Elia laughed " Haha!! ... you sure did...Boy "

He jumped onto the pirate ship and waved his hand.

"Goodbye!, I hope we meet in better circumstances next time, old man…"

He did not wait for Elia's reply, he set the sails and sailed away from them. Previously he had wanted to accompany them because he knew nothing about navigation, but after much thought he abandoned this idea. Thanks to his mother's teachings over the years, he had gained some logic in his actions.

He thought that if he accompanied them and they ended up knowing where he lived, that could pose a great danger to his loved ones. After all, he had committed a crime for which he and everyone he loved could be executed.

He had killed one of the Celestial Dragons!

He leaned back on the chair, relaxed a little before opening his mouth and asked,

"Hey, watch!! what exactly are you?…"
