Tristan felt his body freeze as he stared at Alpha Mitch standing in front of him.
It felt so surreal but he knew he wasn't dreaming.
Still in a panic, he slipped back into the apartment and shut the door.
He turned towards Nita with his back pressed to the door.
"What is it?" Nita asked in worry as she realised his face had turned pale in just a few seconds.
Tristan could not answer as he remembered Adriana's words.
"Is he here after finding out the truth?" Tristan muttered under his breath and looked blankly ahead.
"What's going on?
You're scaring me" Nita asked in a trembling voice.
"Do you know them?"
"I…I do". Tristan forced himself to say in a small voice.
"I think I might have to go with them" he continued and Nita gasped in shock.
She moved closer to him as worry clouded her eyes.
"Are you in danger?
Who are they?
I would call for help if—
"No, it's not like that" Tristan stopped her with a finger over his lips in a shush gesture.
Tristan looked down at Nita's pink nightwear he had on.
It wouldn't look strange if Alpha Mitch hadn't found out the truth.
He thought and prepared himself to open the door again but before he could another knock sounded on the door.
He opened it immediately and was met by the Alpha's blank expression.
Tristan waited for him to say anything but he only looked behind him causing Tristan to turn slightly.
He was shocked to see Nita standing behind him with a hard glare turned at the Alpha.
What could she probably do to him?
"Go back inside," Tristan whispered to her.
"I will but I have something to say to him first". She retorted without breaking her gaze away from the domineering Alpha.
"I do not know you Alpha, but if you hurt my friend in any way, I would find you for revenge!" Nita spat as she stood stubbornly beside Tristan.
Tristan gasped at her words but was surprised to find the Alpha chuckling.
"I never thought a day would come that I would be taking instructions from an Omega" He muttered in amusement.
"Yes!
Because all of you think little of us, it's not our fault to be born as Omega and since that's out of our control we are not supposed to be treated like trash!" She yelled again.
"Don't you dare hurt a hair on him" she concluded under her breath.
Alpha Mitch nodded and did what none of them expected.
Bending slightly, he lifted Tristan into his arms and turned towards the exit.
Tristan let out a soft yelp as his feet went off the ground.
His heart race quickened and the Alpha's scent covered him like a cloak and he could not resist the urge to stick his face in the crook of his neck to get another sniff.
They got to where the car was packed and Gale had gone ahead of them to start the car.
He came out of the car to hold the car door open for the Alpha. Neither of the three of them said anything.
Alpha Mitch's mind was finally at peace and even if there was a lot he wanted to say he was willing to wait till when they got back to the Mansion.
On the other hand, Gale was pissed and in disbelief.
He still could not accept the fact that he was tricked by Tristan's father.
How could he accept to give his daughter to the Alpha but it was his son instead. What kind of psycho does that?
Was it because of the money?
Tristan was expecting the Alpha to let him sit in the car but he firmly held him back with a hand pressed down on his laps.
That sent heat to his cheeks and he blushed to a red crimson colour.
"Just stay like this" He muttered with his eyes closed.
When they finally got back to the mansion and got out of the car.
Tristan was still lost in the unusual affection the Alpha was showing him when his eyes traveled to Adriana waiting by the stairs.
Tristan felt self conscious under her glare and immediately tried to hide behind Alpha Mitch.
Alpha Mitch noticed and immediately knew the two of them had met.
"When the day breaks, go back home" he stopped to say to her before he continued further into the house.
Tristan looked meekly behind them and was struck by Adriana's hard glare.
He could sense the silence threat oozing off her pores.
He needs to find a way to either tell the Alpha the truth or leave the country.
But leaving the country doesn't sound plausible.
Alpha Mitch refused to let go of his hold on him till they got to his room.
The maid was waiting outside the door and she could not hide her happiness as she saw the Omega with the Alpha. But she only bowed to them as they walked into the room.
"Bring some food and some warm milk" Alpha Mitch ordered and the maid disappeared leaving them alone.
Tristan looked down at his hand awkwardly as he had no idea what to say or do now that they were alone.
"I don't really know what you think of me but I'm not a jerk".
Alpha Mitch started suddenly, causing Tristan to look at him.
"I can provide everything you could ask for in the whole world. You wouldn't have to worry about anything. But all that won't be possible if you don't trust me"
Tristan's mouth opened slightly but words couldn't come out.
He noticed for the first time that there was black circle under his eyes and his hair was ruffled as if he hadn't rested in days.
"I'm sorry" Tristan apologized in a low tone.
He had thought the Alpha was pissed and would scold him.
"No, you shouldn't do anything you would be sorry for. I don't really know what I was expecting when I signed that marriage certificate that day but I was determined to make it work somehow. We are adults. It would be bad if we hide things from ourselves. Isn't?".
"Yes" Tristan whispered and nodded as the Alpha gaze still lingered on him as they sat on the bed facing each other.
And he knew right there that he had to tell him the truth.
