As soon as they arrived at the planet Asgard, dark clouds gathered in the sky. When Thor, Banner, Loki, Valkyrie, and Itachi stepped off the ship's deck, they saw a ruined city, burned homes, and people hiding in fear.
Thor took a deep breath and whispered as he looked around:
"Home... but no longer ours."
Hela appeared in front of them. In her dark armor, with her shining sword in hand, she was the embodiment of darkness. She smiled, but it was the kind of smile that signaled death.
"My little brother has returned," Hela said. "And brought new friends."
Thor gripped his weapon tightly. "I won't let you get away this time."
The battle between Thor and Hela began—lightning and dark blasts tore through the sky. Meanwhile, Itachi jumped into battle against Hela's undead army.
His red Sharingan eyes were glowing. He released dark crows into the air, which started swirling around the enemies. Amaterasu—the black flames—engulfed the enemies. With Clone Jutsu, dozens of Itachis appeared on the battlefield. He used Genjutsu to trap some of the soldiers—lost between reality and illusion.
At the same time, Loki carried out a secret plan. He took Surtur's crown and decided to awaken the legendary power. He knew that fighting Hela directly would destroy them. He placed the crown into the Eternal Flame.
Surtur was reborn. A gigantic titan of fire rose into Asgard's sky.
The fight between Thor and Hela was still raging. Thor was at his limit. Hela seemed invincible. Itachi, still fighting enemies, made his way toward Thor.
"We can't defeat her like this," Itachi said. "It's time for sacrifice."
At that moment, flames exploded into the sky as Surtur struck Asgard. Hela tried to stop him, but she couldn't withstand the titan's power. With one mighty blow, she was destroyed.
Thor, Loki, Banner, Valkyrie, and Itachi gathered the people of Asgard and began to flee aboard the ship. Below, Surtur burned the land, the buildings—everything.
Thor looked up and quietly said:
"Asgard is not a place. Asgard is a people."
The ship slowly rose into space. Behind them, their birthplace, the land of gods, disappeared into fire and ash.
Itachi looked at Thor silently.
"Sometimes, to protect, we must destroy."
Thor nodded and sat on the throne. Before the people of Asgard, he was now the king.
