Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 — Discovering the Secrets of a New World

The city streets were quiet but alive with distant sounds of cars and people going about their routines. Itachi Uchiha moved cautiously, blending into the crowd yet still feeling like an outsider. The weight of his mission and the confusion about this strange new world pressed heavily on his mind.

Suddenly, before he could take another step, a swirl of brilliant blue and gold light appeared right in front of him. The air shimmered as a portal opened, and from it emerged a man in a crimson cloak—Doctor Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Itachi Uchiha," Strange's voice was calm but serious. "Your presence here could upset the balance. This world is fragile."

Itachi glanced up, alert but curious. "Are you here to help me?"

Strange nodded slowly. "For now. I will take you to my sanctum. There, I'll explain what you need to know about this world, its dangers, and how to survive."

Without another word, Strange extended his hand, and Itachi stepped through the portal.

---

The sanctum was filled with arcane artifacts, floating books, and an otherworldly glow that seemed to pulse with power. Strange gestured for Itachi to sit as he began to speak.

"This world is unlike yours. Technology, magic, politics, and powers you've never imagined intersect here. The people rely on science and sorcery alike. Some seek to protect it, others to exploit it."

Itachi listened intently, his sharp eyes scanning every corner, absorbing every word.

"If any threat arises that could destroy or corrupt this world," Strange continued, "know that I will be watching. And I will act. But you... you must be careful. Your powers are formidable, but the consequences of your actions here can ripple far beyond what you imagine."

Itachi nodded, his expression stoic but a flicker of determination crossed his face. "I've faced many dangers. I will learn quickly."

Strange gave a rare small smile. "Good. Then let's return you."

---

Back on the bustling city streets, Itachi exhaled deeply, the noise and movement assaulting his senses differently this time. The knowledge Strange shared made the world seem less alien, but new challenges awaited.

As he walked aimlessly, his gaze landed on a quaint old building—a library, its doors open and inviting. Something compelled him inside.

Among shelves stacked high with books, a young woman was quietly humming, absorbed in her reading. Her eyes sparkled with warmth and intelligence.

"Hello there," she said brightly when she noticed him. "You look a bit lost. New in town?"

Itachi's lips curved into a faint smile. "You could say that. I am Itachi. I'm trying to understand this place."

She extended her hand. "I'm Lily. I manage this library. Maybe I can help."

The simplicity of the introduction contrasted with the complexity swirling in Itachi's mind, but he felt a rare ease.

---

"Have you ever heard of poetry?" Lily asked suddenly, gesturing to a nearby shelf.

"It's unfamiliar," Itachi admitted.

She grinned. "Poetry isn't just words on paper. Sometimes it holds hidden meanings, like spells to protect or heal. Let me show you."

Lily pulled down a thick, well-worn book and flipped it open. As she leaned closer, the book slipped from her grasp, scattering pages across the floor.

"It's a little dangerous," she joked, laughing as she bent to pick them up.

Itachi helped, careful and precise. "In my world, battles are fought with blades and jutsu. Here, even books can be a battlefield."

Their shared laughter bridged the gap between two very different lives.

---

As they gathered the scattered pages, some library visitors paused, their eyes drawn to Itachi's striking appearance—the sharp features, intense eyes, and calm demeanor.

Lily noticed and nudged him playfully. "You know, being handsome can be a real distraction."

Itachi glanced away, adjusting his hair. "It's just the beginning of this journey."

They both smiled, the tension easing.

---

Over the next hours, Lily spoke about the city's culture, its mix of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology, the importance of knowledge and poetry in protecting the spirit of the place.

Itachi shared bits of his own story, careful to keep some secrets, but opening enough to forge a connection.

For the first time since arriving, Itachi felt less alone.

---

As the sun set, casting long shadows through the library windows, Itachi looked toward the future. This world was vast and full of mysteries, but now, he had a guide—Lily—and the cautious support of a powerful ally, Doctor Strange.

His path was unclear, but his resolve was strong. The days ahead would test him in ways he never imagined. But whatever came, Itachi Uchiha was ready.
