Chapter 26 - Vajra Infusion · Awakening the True Form

Wan 026

At the break of dawn, the morning mist gradually dispersed among the ancient forest groves. Wan Xiaochuan sat cross-legged atop a weathered stone before an ancient idol, his spiritual energy surging like a mighty river—vastly different from the day before. Having just received the initial inheritance of the "Vajra Body" from the Honored Master of Tempered Flesh, golden script now engraved upon his soul had thrust him onto a cultivation path never seen before.

His eyes were closed, and his skin glimmered with an azure-gold sheen, like metallic radiance blooming at daybreak. Suddenly, a stream of golden qi, seemingly imbued with life, erupted from within, stirring the surrounding spiritual aura. This was the signature method of the Vajra Body—the Vajra Infusion—capable of forging flesh into steel and activating the "Six Sights," mystical eyes that unveiled the truths of Heaven and Earth.

"So, this is the power of the Vajra Body," came Renee's playful yet tender voice beside his ear, her figure faint and flickering like sword-spirit breath merged into the air. She danced lightly around him, bringing with her subtle currents of wind and thunder, an ethereal contrast to Xiaochuan's increasingly solid physique.

"The Six Sights... this is the true marvel of the Vajra Form," she whispered, her gaze glinting. "They are: the Celestial Eye, Earth Eye, Human Eye, Demon Eye, Wisdom Eye, and Soul Eye. Each grants vision into the laws of the cosmos, the life of all things, the disruption of illusions, and the insight into the very weave of the soul—guiding your cultivation without hindrance."

Wan Xiaochuan slowly opened his eyes. From deep within his pupils, a golden glow began to radiate, as if a miniature sun burned quietly in his core. His gaze swept across distant mountains and nearby flowers, even piercing the ground to see hidden mineral veins and lurking spirit-insects.

"This infusion of Vajra qi... can it resonate with my wind-thunder sword force?" he mused, as his internal energy cycled. He sensed his meridians locking like chains of iron, his bones ringing with the hardness of clashing steel.

Nearby, Lin Qixian sat quietly, solemn-faced. Though his cultivation fell short of Wan Xiaochuan's, his understanding of the Vajra Form ran deep. "The Vajra Body isn't simply physical enhancement. It requires channeling true energy through a unique 'Vajra Heart Sutra' to structurally reshape the meridians. Bones become not just tough, but self-repairing."

"They say each level of the Vajra Sutra charts a unique route. The first is 'Vajra Infusion,' pouring steel-forged qi into the bones. The second, 'Vajra Bone-Forging,' tempers the skeleton into iron. The third, 'Vajra Tendon Shield,' lets sinews endure thunder's strike…" His voice bore reverence and yearning.

Renee chuckled lightly. "Completing these three forms marks minor completion. Beyond them lie the remaining levels—each unlocking a new of the Six Sights. The Celestial Eye dispels illusion and demon fog. The Wisdom Eye detects the flaws in any spell. The Soul Eye sees through the falsehoods of the heart."

Wan Xiaochuan inhaled deeply, shut his eyes once more, and began to chant the Vajra Sutra silently. Golden qi surged like flowing mercury through his flesh, infusing bones and sinews. The infusion burned within, molten heat coursing through his veins as if liquid iron was hardening within.

With breath and qi cycling as one, his flesh trembled, bones vibrating with a sense of rebirth. A steel-like resilience spread from his core, tendons reforged as if tempered in the forge of war.

Suddenly, a burst of golden light flared from his brow. He opened his eyes to find layered halos of light emerging from them. Six subtle glows orbited his body—six golden eyes gazing outward in every direction.

It was the initial awakening of the Vajra Six Sights.

His vision expanded. What had once been veiled became crystal clear. He could see the spiritual glimmer in a bird's feather far away, and sense even the faintest fluctuations of spiritual qi in the surrounding air.

"It's as if the truths and illusions of the world now lie within reach," he murmured, a resolute gleam flashing in his gaze.

He rose and stepped into the forest. Testing his newly awakened form, he struck out. The wind howled with each punch, arms drawing roars of spiraling force. Every blow carried the heavy clangor of iron meeting iron—steel-born force made manifest.

Lin Qixian grinned. "You've awakened the Vajra Body quicker than I imagined. I'll need to be careful, or I'll be left behind at the starting line."

Renee brushed her sleeve with a soft smile, her eyes warm yet filled with anticipation. "Now that your True Form is awakened, as your heart sutra advances, one day your Vajra might and my wind-thunder sword shall merge as one—and break all beneath heaven."

Wan Xiaochuan took a deep breath, the golden light in his eyes intensifying. "This is only the beginning. From now on, this Vajra Form shall become my divine shield."

That day, Wan Xiaochuan's cultivation broke through to the mid-stage of Qi Refining. The awakening of the Vajra Body didn't just strengthen his flesh—it ignited a tempest of growth in his spirit and inner qi.

As the morning sun bathed the forest, the three stood side by side, eyes resolute. Deep within the secret woods, thunder and wind intertwined. The wheels of fate had begun to turn.
