It happened.
The night I'd been waiting for.
A big, bright, beautiful full moon hung in the sky like a smug spotlight shining just for me. Its silver glow poured through the window of Garp's little house, and the moment it hit me… something inside clicked.
I felt it.
A rush of strength. A heatless fire in my veins.
My tiny baby muscles twitched.
My bones cracked a little.
My gums tingled.
It was time.
I stood up in my crib, flexing my chubby arms.
"Meh…" I growled.
Dragon was still snoring like a log on the other side of the room, completely unaware that his twin brother was about to become the strongest baby in the world for one glorious night a month.
I hopped out of the crib with a soft thud, landing perfectly on my tiny feet. A grin spread across my face. I could feel my Full Moon Form — Baby Mode, but jacked up to 11.
I made my way toward the living room, where Garp sat on the floor, snacking on rice crackers and reading some report about pirate activity.
Perfect.
I tiptoed closer.
"Hmm?" Garp turned, spotting me in the moonlight. "Oi, Iron, what're you doing up, little guy?"
I bared my gums in a terrifying baby grin.
"Meh…!"
Translation: Your time has come, old man.
Before he could react, I charged.
WHAM.
My tiny fist — powered by the full moon — slammed into his shin.
"GAAH—?!" Garp howled, dropping his crackers. "WHAT THE HELL?! LITTLE MONSTER!!"
He clutched his shin as I landed gracefully and raised my tiny fists in triumph.
Victory.
"You little…!" Garp growled, hobbling as I darted around him like a moonlit gremlin.
I dodged his grabs, bit his finger, pulled his ear, and even headbutted his knee. I was on fire — a one-baby hurricane of chaos.
"SENGOKU! GET OVER HERE, THE DEMON BABY'S AWAKENED AGAIN!"
His shouts echoed through the night, but I didn't care.
For this was my night.
The night of the Full Moon Baby Rampage.
And by the time the moon set, I was back in my crib, snoring peacefully beside Dragon like nothing had happened.
Garp?
Well, he limped for a week.
