Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Minato’s Squad and the Arm Replacement Surgery

Uchiha Kin returned to the tent and took off his medical protective suit, revealing the usual clothes underneath.

It was a plain white outfit, patterned with overlapping and intertwining black spirals—complex enough to make anyone stare too long and feel dizzy. The inner layer of the clothes was the same color, but the style had some variations.

This was very different from the colors the Uchiha clan commonly favored—black, dark blue, or grass green.

Uchiha Kin had worn this since childhood and remained steadfast in doing so.

There was no special reason—

He just didn't like being watched.

Hyūga Sen rubbed the slightly swollen temple of his head and mumbled, "Hey, can you change your clothes? This isn't very Uchiha-like." Actually, it was because the pattern made him dizzy. Looking at Uchiha Kin with Byakugan eyes, he appeared like a humanoid figure covered in complex, dizzying swirling patterns.

Uchiha Kin replied, "No. I think this outfit is great… White for purity, black for order."

"So, do you even wear it when you bathe?" Hyūga Sen asked unintentionally, a question that was quite maddening.

Kin's expression changed. "What? You're spying on me showering?" He paused, then cursed, "Pervert."

Hyūga Sen blushed. "I'm not! I only go to the women's bathhouse. You? If I were watching anyone, it'd be Nohara Rin!"

Kin raised a finger and shushed him, "Don't let Obito hear that, or he'll kill you."

"What? Why would I kill you?" A voice suddenly interrupted, belonging to a peer wearing goggles.

He was dressed in typical Uchiha clan clothing, energetic as he quickly jumped over to them. "Hey, you two! Long time no see! Why are you leaving me out?"

Kin casually said, "He said he was spying on Nohara Rin showering…"

"Ah, damn it! I'll kill you!"

Suddenly, the air seemed to swell as a white-haired boy wearing a black mask appeared. He placed a hand on Obito's shoulder to stop him. "Kin, Sen, long time no see." It was Kakashi.

"Kin, Sen!" Nohara Rin arrived running a bit later. Her voice showed obvious excitement when calling Kin.

Obito pouted, annoyed, and muttered harshly, "A useless Uchiha who can't even awaken his eyes—what's so great about that? I'm different. I awaken mine, the three-tomoe Sharingan!"

"Obito!" Rin scolded him and whispered to Uchiha Kin, "Kin, that's just how he is. Don't stoop to his level."

"Hey, I—" Obito tried to say something when a blond man wearing a Jonin vest approached with a sunny smile. "Kin, I need to trouble you. Jonin Ishihara's right arm was poisoned and had to be amputated, so…"

Uchiha Kin nodded and asked, "Is the replacement arm ready?"

"Yes, it's ready."

Kin said to Hyūga Sen, "Looks like our reunion will have to wait." He nodded and called over Moli and Jingju, "We have surgery to do, but it's not too difficult. You two prepare over there…"

"The patient needs an arm replacement. First, clean the wound; second, prepare the spare arm and use chakra control techniques to maintain its vitality. I'll come when ready."

"Yes, sir!"

Moli and Jingju didn't change clothes. After confirming the tent location, they went directly to prepare.

Kin changed his clothes and followed shortly. By then, preparations inside were complete.

Uchiha Kin had Moli and Jingju align the replacement arm, then placed his hand on the connection point. Yellowish nerves extended from his palm, piercing through the glove and into the patient's body. Instantly, the arm connected to the shoulder.

Minato, Kakashi, Rin, and Obito stood outside waiting. Hyūga Sen was there too.

As he waited, Sen habitually activated his Byakugan.

The veins around his eyes bulged like gnarly roots, tangled and distorted—but were wrapped in a white cloth, so no one could notice the detail beneath.

He struggled to focus through the dizzying, geometric spiral patterns on Uchiha Kin's clothes, intently watching him complete the surgery.

To him, those nerves were the most marvelous things—the very thing he most desperately needed!

"No rejection. Plug and play. This kind of suturing… it's simply art."

"To have come this far—unbelievable. As expected of you, my comrade."

The surgery was completed in under a minute. The pale yellow nerves sunk deep into the patient's flesh, concealing their presence.

Uchiha Kin said to Jonin Ishihara, "Try moving it."

Ishihara flexed the new arm, his face lighting up in surprise. "This arm… it's really strong." Suddenly, he refined his chakra and discovered, "It even has earth-style chakra nature transformation."

The arm belonged to an Iwa-nin, skilled in Earth Release hardening techniques, and naturally powerful.

Thus, the arm carried the instinctive chakra refinement and nature transformation accumulated over years of training.

Kin said, "Good. Rest well."

As Kin was about to leave, Ishihara called after him, "Wait, Lord Kin!" (He surprisingly addressed him as "Lord Kin.")

Kin turned confused. Ishihara hesitated, then gathered courage. "Lord Kin, could you also replace my other arm? And the core muscle groups too…"

"I feel unbalanced. This arm is too strong, while the other is too weak."

Of course, he didn't mention the true reason—the Earth-style chakra nature transformation—fearing it would make him seem greedy.

Kin looked at Ishihara and said, "I'm a doctor, and I have my principles. Replacing your arm is treatment for your injury. But your current request…"

"For additional, non-essential surgery, you will have to pay yourself. Are you willing?"

At first, Ishihara looked disappointed. But when he heard about the extra cost, his face brightened.

"I'm willing! Absolutely willing!"

Kin nodded and said to Moli, "Go prepare the contract, and bring Jonin Minato in. We'll need a third party to oversee this."
