Before Theron could even react to what I said, my wolf immediately cut in. "Ugh, stop—just stop it!" she groaned. "Don't you dare start acting like some sweet, innocent girl. You're making me want to throw up!"
My wolf didn't even have a mouth, so how could she possibly throw up?
And yet, she actually made a gagging noise the moment I tried to act cute in front of Theron again.
"Adorable, my ass!" she shouted in my mind. "The word 'adorable' would be an insult if it was ever used to describe you!"
Honestly … fair enough.
Sure, people often said I had a pretty face, but adorable? Yeah, probably not.
Unlike my wolf, however, Theron looked like he had just been struck by lightning in broad daylight. It sounded terrible, but strangely, it didn't look that bad.
How should I put it into words … oh! He looked like he had just been hit by the softness of my voice!
